My sent emails being received unsecure

Never new this was happening until most recently.  When people are receiving my emails that have attachments, which are mostly being received using MS Outlook, the email is not showing up in typical format.  There is this grey bar saying, "Click here to turn on links. .... Links are turned off in this message".
Such as, the words of the attachment is now showing up as part of the body of the email, instead there is an internet explorer icon that if you click on it, it take you to a web page that open up and show the words of the attachement; also, my signature is cutup and my company logo is not displayed, it is an attachment.  Totally confused????

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

  • Emails being sent not being received

    i have been receiving emails from outside bt ok,
    however im sending emails and its saying email been sent but they not getting through to receiptant,
    they all been sent as shown in sent folder.
    daughter sent me email she with bt and that hasnt been recived yet.
    its driving me mad, emails from outside bt seem to receive ok, But i cant reply to them.
      think im on the bt yahoo mail.

    Same problem.  Have deleted account and reset using BT settings for both IMAP and POP and although the e-mail is sent it is not being received.  Have tried sending to numerous different e-mail addresses but none are received.
    There was another thread with the same problem that is marked as solved but the details of how this was achieved were unknown and not posted.
    Have even reset the BT home hub but not made any difference.
    To add to the misery, e-mail from my iphone is now not being sent saying the password is incorrect.  Nothing has changed since earlier today when the e-mail was working.  Have tried reentering the passwords manually but no luck.
    If I use webmail it all works.
    Started yesterday so although I am now receiving mails, I cannot now send any e-mail unless I use webmail.

  • Sent emails only received by certain servers

    Hi everyone,
    I am working on a lightweight email client and have an issue where only certain servers can receive my emails
    I am connecting to the att/yahoo smtp server and sent messages are received by my att.net account and my
    university account. However, my comcast account and and gmail account can't receive messages. Is there
    any advice I can get without posting all my code?

    Just to be clear, you're connecting to your att/yahoo account and sending a message to your
    comcast or gmail account, right?
    I assume you get no errors when you send the message? If so, the problem probably isn't
    with your code. Is there any chance the message is being flagged as spam when being
    received by gmail or comcast?
    Just to prove it's not your code, you can try using the smtpsend.java demo program included
    with JavaMail. See the [JavaMail FAQ|http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/FAQ.html] for tips.

  • Duplicate emails being received

    Years back I signed up for mac.com emal address and seldom used it. I recall vaguely being able to forward a copy to my cablevision email account, a 'optonline.net' account.  I can't remember what I did but now I'm using my mac.com email regularly, with variations under me.com and icloud.com. And I like to stop getting copies of the same email being sent to my optonline.net.
    But I can't figure out how to stop this....any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Howdy dmao,
    With Mail you can forward email with rules so check your Mail > Preferences > Rules and see if you have one setup.
    Mail (Yosemite): Use rules to manage your inbox
    If not, iCloud can also automatically forward emails.
    iCloud: Forward all messages automatically
    See if either of those are forwarding your email.
    Best regards,
    Nubz

  • Sent email not received

    Running 10.5.2 on new intel iMac. Can receive email and send email, however, the sent email is never received. I put and airport extreme base station between the isp and computer and all works well. The direct ethenet connection the receipient never gets the message. All mail setting have been check and rechecked, mail & preferences have been deleted and reset up. Have tried adjusting the mtu to smaller packets to no avail. Connecting to the isp via a Cisco Workgroup Bridge. Anyone have any thoughts for solution besides putting in the airport?

    This is extremely unlikely to be a network issue that will be solved by using airport vs. ethernet.
    If that were the case you would probably get an error message in the mail client saying it could not send the message to the server.
    The place you need to focus on is the mail server you are sending your message to. Its logs will tell you whether it received the message and what it did with it.

  • Email being received but not sent

    all of a sudden, my email stops sending (yet still receives). i get the following error message
    "This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
    Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail Preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator."
    my email provider claims this is an Apple issue - having deleted and recreated email accounts
    the provider is blueyonder.co.uk
    ive tried different ports but they dont work either.

    How do you send them, presumably if you are complaining that they send OK with webmail you are using an email client, if so which one?
    What operating system does your computer use?
    Which email system are you on. Is it BTYahoo or BTMail? If you are not sure use this link.

  • Email not being sent, but being received.

    New problem started today. When trying to send emails from my iphone i get the message:
    "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The sender address "myemailaddress.com" was rejected by the server."
    But I can still receive emails on my iphone.
    Any one got any idea what is going on?

  • Has Mountain Lion solved the issue of not all sent emails being saved?

    The Snow Leopard forum has a thread about Mac Mail not saving every sent item in the "Sent" folder. My email account is IMAP and it seems to work fine for most of the time except that, every now and again, a message is sent (and it really is sent) but never appears in the "Sent" folder on either my Mac Mail or the synched folder on my ISP server. This seems to happen when a message takes a long time to get to the end of the activity bar before the usual "whooshing" sound and it has been suggested that the delay causes Mac Mail to delete the message. The SL forum left the issue unresolved but I have not seen any reports of the problem being there on ML so wonder if it has been fixed and my problem lies with my ISP rather than my iMac. Has anyone else experienced this problem on ML?

    My primary email account is IMAP and I have just found what I suspect are all the messages that were not saved in my "sent" folder either on my iMac or ISP server. They were in the "Sent" folder of my secondary, little-used Hotmail account and the recipients "saw" these as originating from this account rather than the one from which I actually sent them. After some testing, I discovered that, for my primary account, the "always use this server" box was not checked. I surmise that, if the Mail app has trouble using the server associated with my primary account, it simply uses the Hotmail server (this would be consistent with the delay before hearing the "whooshing"noise). What does surprise me is that, if this Hotmail server has been used, the recipient sees the message as originating from Hotmail. Is this what is supposed to happen?

  • Sent emails also received in the inbox

    Hey everyone, so I've had a BB for just about ever now - but I've never seen this before. I just added a new email acct to my phone and whenever I send messages (with just that account) I get a copy in my inbox as an unread message. The email goes through to the recipient and everything, but whenever I send from this account, I get a copy. Any idea why this could be happening? I've done resets, test emails and everything, nothing has seemed to work.
    I have a VZW BB Curve 3G 9330.
    I'm on BB OS 6.
    It's the third email account on my phone.
    I have done a soft reset a couple times already.
    Thanks a lot for any help anyone can give.

    Basically it is a reciept of a sent message in my inbox... and I want to get rid of it. Can't seem to find the answer in options either... But I'm open to any suggestions

  • Repeated emails being received

    When I am logged in MS Outlook on my laptop and my Blackberry Q10 is nearby if I receive an e-mail in Outlook the same email arrives on my BB repeating itself until I disconnect from MS Outlook in my laptop. Does anyone know how to correct this repeated delivery of email messages?

    Hi,
    First, I would like to confirm the following questions:
    1. Does the issue occur on certain user or several users in your Exchange environment?
    2. Are the problematic messages from certain sender or each sender?
    At this stage, please run Message Tracking tool and check whether the missing email can be detected. Also, please run ExBPA and scan the whole system.
    Thanks.

  • Why are my emails being received in triplicate?

    For some reason a couple of days ago I suddenly started receiving all my emails in triplicate? Help!!!
    Also on the left under all my folders it says Popstat1 Popstat 2 and so forth. Any suggestions will be gratefully received. Thank you Heath

    Your 'popstate.dat' file keeps a record of what it has downloaded, so that when it connects with the server and looks in the server Inbox, it should not download anything that was previously downloaded.
    In your case, you have kept old previously downloaded mail in the server Inbox and the confused popstate.dat is seeing them as needing to be downloaded.
    This means that the 'popstate,dat' file must be corrupted - gone awol - because it keeps downloading previously downloaded emails.
    You need to access your Profile Folders and delete the 'popstate.dat' file.
    Profile Folders are hidden folders.
    make hidden files and folders visible:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
    access Profile Folder:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird
    In thunderbird:
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * click on 'Show Folder'
    * a new window opens showing your Profile Folder.
    * Close Thunderbird now - this is important
    * Click on 'Mail' folder
    * click on 'mail account name'
    * look for 'popstate.dat' file and delete it.
    if you have other files - Popstat1 Popstat 2 - delete them as well.
    * close the window.
    * Open Thunderbird.
    What will this do?
    When Thunderbird restarts, it will create a new 'popstate.dat' file. The downside is this. As it has no knowledge of what has been downloaded, it will download everything that is on the server Inbox, but only once.
    The good thing is this. This should fix the popstate.dat file and prevent further downloads of previously downloaded mail.
    You will then need to delete any duplicates that were previously downloaded. There is an addon that you could use to help with duplicates.
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/remove-duplicate-messages/
    see image for where popstate.dat file is located.

  • Issue with certain email being received with wrong name

    Hi- From time to time I've seen this happen where an email will come in and the 'from' name is different from the email address. Usually I find the problem with this is in the address book as the record with that email had a wrong name, but that's not the case.
    Is it possible there's something odd with the cache in that a wrong name became associated with an email address? I checked with the email host and the sending email's account is setup correctly, so the issue is somewhere with the recipient.
    Any idea what's going on?

  • Emails being received up to seven times

    I've been using personal pop3 email on my Blackberry 8520 without any problems then suddenly I'm seeing the same email arrive more than once in my Blackberry inbox.  This started just a few days ago.   Sometimes an email will arrive just twice but sometimes up to SEVEN times each separated by three to six minutes.  Picking up emails with my outlook client there is only ever one email.
    I deleted my email from the Blackberry and recreated it - but with no success.  It does not affect all emails either.  Two emails arrived overnight - one is duplicated, one is not.
    Has anyone any ideas where the problem lies?   It is driving me nuts!

    Yes, strange. There's not much which you can do on your end, it sounds as if the email server is, for some reason, marking that/those emails as "new" again and therefore the RIM servers are "pushing" those emails over again to your device. It's probably just a glitch and hopefully will just resolve itself.
    Is this a personal BIS account or corporate BES account provided by your employer?
    If it continues for many more days, I would call your carrier tech support and discuss this issue and have then escalate the issue to RIM level tech support.
