My serial number doesn't work (Lightroom 4, non-cloud)

I have Lightroom 4  (non-cloud). My serial number suddenly stopped working since the beginning of March. 
Whenever I start the program, I'm prompted to purchase a new Lightroom, which I don't want to/can't afford). Could someone tell me how to resolve the problem? Thank you.

At the end of a 30-day LR trial period, LR should give you a choice to enter a serial number or purchase.  What happens if you enter your serial number?
Where did you purchase the original LR4 serial number from, Adobe, a physical store location, or the internet site not Adobe?

    There was no new serial needed to update from Logic 9 to 9.1.7
    If your Logic 9 was an upgrade from Logic 8 it may be asking you for your original Logic 8 Full serial first and then your Logic 9 Upgrade serial...
    Otherwise, it's best to call Apple directly and get them to help you...

    Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and reinstall everything. Also refer to this:

    Your Illu is still tied to your un out trial and you need to delete the locked license file so it will correctly run with the suite serial.

    Did you just purchase Premiere Elements 12 - online download or installation disc?
    Was the program ever installed by you a while back and are you trying to reinstall it now?
    Are you sure that you are working with the serial number and not a redemption code?

    no, you don't need to remove lr from your pc.  you are allowed up to two concurrent installations of adobe software.
    make sure you're using the mac serial number and check this to solve common problems, Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite

    All the programs of the CS have been installed as purchased products

    Hi! About a year ago I bought a used computer with CS5 Master Collection (pretty much the only reason I bought is was because of that program.) The program was newly installed so I registered it to my Adobe ID. Now that computer is about to give up and I would like to install it on my new computer but I can't make it work. When I put in the serial number I get a message telling me that the serial number isn't valid for that product, but that can't be right. CS5 is the only product I've registered and under "My products" on my Adobe ID it says Master Collection, version 5. The only thing I can think about is that it could be a school licence, as I bought it from a school. If so is it still possible to make it work or is it no longer possible since the computer doesn't belong to the school anymore?

    Just downloaded a trial of Aperture 3.0.3, and got emailed the serial number.
    Click to install, enter my name and the supplied serial number, but the installer just says "The serial number you entered is not valid." and will not proceed.
    I've double and triple checked, the number is exactly as per the email, with upper case, no confusion between letters and numbers, but it doesn't work.
    Any ideas?
