My serial number won't work anymore

i bought creative suite a few years from my school and shortly after my computer crashed and i thought i'd lost it until i went through my hard drives today and found it!
i found the serial number and typed it in, but it tells me it is invalid.
i'm searching for a solution to this problem, but feel like i've just been sent around in circles.
if anyone can please help me i would much appreciate it.

Serial number won't work

trying to install lightroom 4 on my laptop. The serial number won't work, doesn't even seem like the right number of digits.

A Lightroom serial number should consist of 6 groups of 4 digits with no letters, for a total of 24 digits and the first four digits are 1160. Or at least this is the pattern I see for my LR purchases over the years, where they are are individual licneses, not Educational or Team or Enterprise.
How and where did you buy LR? If it was a box in a store, perhaps what you’re seeing is a redemption code that needs to be converted to a serial number using this website:

Just purchased an iWork 08 Serial Number won't work

I ordered an iWork 08 Serial Number Family Pak. Why because I still use OSX.4.11. (an not use iWork09 as my machines are PowerPC. However in trying to enter serial number will not work.
in clicking order details the sent me a serial number for 09. and reading previous information serial numbers are not universal. So I've just wasted $100.00 buying a serial number I can use. trying all the support channels I can find, there appears to be no channel to cover this. If you have a mechanism set up to buy software it should ask and receive information on the version software you are purchasing. Now I am SOL. and wasted a 100 bucks.

Ah, that would explain the price, especially if you bought it before iWork 09 was released.
It was a Legit Apple copy, never opened and was able to install with no problem and register with Apple.
Wasn't questioning legality, just wondering why you paid $100 for it? Explained above though.
It came with iWork so I installed tried out. Then I decided to buy the Serial number I though the software was smart enough to detect which software I was trying to purchase.
Hmm, I wonder if the trial version is preventing the serial number from working. Microsoft's Office trial does the same thing. Unless you completely remove all traces of Office from the hard drive, both retail and the trial if you've used it, the retail version won't activate.
I purchased the I package that had iPhoto 08 on it from Amazon. It was unopened shrink Warped and I was able to register with Apple. I need the O8 versions because They still support PowerPC, 09 series are Intel only. That disk also had iWork 08 on it I installed and Then I purchased the Serial Number. I've tried to locate on Apple's website where to write to excange serial Numbers. But can't find it.
Can't say I've ever heard of exchanging serial numbers. The one you have should work. Have you tried calling Customer Service at Apple?

Changed from Mac to Windows, serial number won't work.

I have been using CS4 on my Mac for a couple of years but just got a new Toshiba laptop and using Windows now. I have downloaded CS4 but serial number is not working, I assume because the serial number is for mac. Is this right? Can I get a new serial number for windows without having to buy one? Any help would be great thanks

As you suspect, serial numbers for Creative Suites are platform specific. Unfortunately, platform swaps are only supported for the most recent versions, which is now CS6. Adobe does not sell older versions of their software so you would not be able to buy a Windows version from them anyways. CS4 is not in the upgrade path for CS6, so you would not be able to purchase an upgrade version either.
So your options would be to either purchase a full version of CS6, subscribe to the Creative Cloud, or find a third party vendor for CS4 and take your chances purchasing from them.

From Windows 7 to Windows 8 serial number does't work anymore. Adobe say no to tech help for CS4 can anyone help?

I am using the CS6, educational. I have a serial number that is not accepted anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled, still not accepted. Please help me out.

I bought an itunes voucher from safeway yesterday. When I enter the number (after scratching off with a coin) I get the message "not a valid number" it then asks me for a serial number which I then enter and get the same mesage. between vodafone and apple I reckon you both score an even for the worst customer service ever. You should be ashamed after the amount of money people use to purchase your products. I work in a very elite University but I certainly won't be advertising your product.

Serial number won't work for lightroom 5, how do I get a correct activation

I've used it before, but my harddrive died, and have to reinstall everything, and my serial number from my receipt will not work. HELP!!

I've done that as well. It still won't work. I guess I'll uninstall (I installed the trial, have done this before without any problem and than added the serial number (on the second hard drive in two months)). Would the program think this was a new computer and not install it, because it was installed on a computer before? I don't know I'm just trying to think of anything to do.

I checked your account and found that there are two license registered under your account, on the installation screen, you will have to enter the previous license number then enter the serial number for current version.

Well, first of all is this a boxed version? If it's a download your serial number is invalid because downloads are single platform while boxed serial numbers work on both.

I'm trying to re-install my Acrobat 7.0 Pro on a new computer (Win 8.1) after a major crash. I successfully downloaded the new .exe file but installation won't accept the serial number listed for the download.

MY SERIAL NUMBER WON'T WORK!!!

Last year I purchased an adobe master collection CS6 and so far it has been working fine. In the past month I haven't been able to access the applications as it continually asks for my serial number, however, when I go to type it in, it says it is wrong! I have just uninstalled the entire collection and have attempted to re-install, and have gotten up to the installation process yet the serial number is still showing up as wrong! I know the number is correct, it says so in my adobe account AND on the receipt of purchase, so I don't understand?! PLEASE HELP!!!!

Serial number won't work reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Pro X

I purchased CS6 Design and Web Premium which includes Adobe Acrobat Pro X. I've had continuing problems using Acrobat, so I decided to reinstall it. I was able to download it, but when I enter my serial number it tells me it's invalid. I'm copying it from my Adobe account, so the number is accurate. I've entered it with the dashes and without the dashes - neither one works. I need help getting this installed and working.

I downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html. I did not see anywhere to download it from my My Products page.
