My shift key is pushing my pages aside every time I use it. Could someone help?

I hope someone can offer decent advice. My shift key is pushing my pages aside each time I try to capitalize one of my letters. Its annoying and frustrating. I recently had a software update from Apple and it has changed since that time. I didn't hit something in the keyboard preferences by accident. Any suggestions that will work, would be appreciated. Even as I type this while hitting the shift key on the right side of the keyboard on my Mac Book Pro, my pages go away to reveal the desktop. It's very frustrating.

Based on your description (the right Shift key shows desktop), it sounds like one of the shortcuts for Mission Control/Exposé may have been changed (Right Shift is one of the options). You may find the following page helpful:

I have a list of a few of the scam pages. They are not just popups but whole pages covering the page I'm in and I can't always quit them but have to shut down Firefox. I have blocked everything I can find and it has no effect.
I have asked for help some time ago for this but no response. I'm a student and need a good browser but I have been putting up with others because I can't use Firefox.
I have a Mac, 10.6.8, and Office 2011.

It sure helps if you give more details.
You do know we can't see your screen?
Is it on Mac or iGadget?
What version of Pages, on what version of OSX?
What exactly happened?
What messages if any have you got when it quit and when you try to relaunch it?
Have you tried starting Pages holding down the shift key so it doesn't try to reopen any damaged files?

Clear page cache every time page is opened

I have a menu page in Apex that points to 10 report pages. However each page retains the values in parameters. How can I clear the page cache every time I go from menu to individual report page? I see the CLEAR_PAGE_CACHE procedure but don't know where to place the call. I guess I haven't understood the event model of the Apex completely yet (I am from the Oracle Forms background).

Jay,
You don't say how these links on the menu page are constructed. If you are using an apex list then for each list entry there would be a target page section in which you would put the target page ID in the Clear Cache field. For example, if the link goes to a page in the current application, say page 10, then you'd put 10 in the Clear Cache field.
If you are building a link yourself, just put 10 (for page 10) in the clear-cache position of the f?p URL, e.g.,
f?p=&APP_ID.:10:&APP_SESSION.::NO:10:P10_ITEM:&SOME_ITEM.

James Ward4 Thanks for your suggestion. I have tried the video app and it appears to have some, but not all of the downloads which are viewable without wifi, so I will now review the download process and see if I can capture the missing episodes. Thanks again.

That is not normal behaviour, for possible causes see [[Firefox has just updated tab shows each time you start Firefox]].

Firefox 4 forgets my settings (not saving history, asking where to download, starting page etc) every time I reboot laptop.

Also all add-on pages appear every time I log in to Windows and start Firefox, for example the black colorzilla page that starts with the text This page will only be shown once. Not funny at all.

Sorry to be a while getting back! Tried all of that with no sucess so this AM, bit the bullet and deleted the FF folder from programs and downloaded and installed FF 10.01. Still was plagued with the same problem. Went into the appdata folder and there were two sessionstore.js files. Deleted them both, restarted the browser and no compatibility check for add-ons was done at start up and the extra tab for Welcome to FF was no longer opening Everything seems to be working as it should and I did not loose any of my settings.. Thank you for trying to help and I hope my solution helps anyone else who might experience this in the future. Here's hoping the next update goes smoother!

Pages leaves Recovery Files in the trash every time I use it. Fix?

I have Pages '08 version 3.0.2. Every time I use it, it will leave a recovery file in the trash the next time I restart. Pages is not crashing when this happens. It happens with normal use of Pages.
What can I do to fix this? It's a paint constantly empty the trash can every time I restart.

It is a Pages problem. Let me explain why.

There's the problem. Pages is not deleting the temporary file even when I save my document successfully and close the app. This is not related to a crash. Pages should be deleting those files, but is not. So every time I restart, there's yet another Recovery File folder in the trash.
None of the other apps have this problem, including none of the other iWork apps. Pages and only pages does this (without a crash).
What I want to know is why it's not deleting the temporary files when it's supposed to. Is my copy of Pages bad or is there a problem with the .plist file? I dread opening any Pages file because I know it'll leave junk in my trash again.

Shift key in a web page is acting like ctrl+f search key?????

i installed some addons today after a while i noticed .problem with my shift key
it is fine while using on text boxes but shift +any alphabet leads to search box similar to ctrl+f box.

Apple Wireless Keyboard - Shift + 'r' key not working. It doesn't capitalise the letter. Can someone help please. Thank you.

I am having some problem with the Apple Wireless Keyboard. It has not problem connecting to both my iPad mini / iPhone 4S.
The problem comes when I start to type with it. All the keys are functioning will, except when I am trying to capitalise the letter 'r'.
I tried using Shift + r. It doesn't work, regardless whether I use the left or right Shift key.
Any someone help please. Thank you.

If your Macbook is less than a year old, it is under warranty. A repair of of a problem of this kind would be free. So, if you have a warranty, have the problem fixed by Apple.
If your Macbook is more than one year old, please tell us what operating system you are running, and any other information that would help understand what is going on.
If you do get the keyboard to work for a short time, long enough to post back, please unlock the "caps lock" button.

Every time I use Pages templet it freezes on macbook

I have updates pages but use an older version templet for a newsletter that I create. Every time I open and work on the older templet - the application freezes when I try to save.

Update:
I cleared my Application Support Folder, Preferences, and I held the Shift key on startup. It cleared the glitch and I seem to be back in business.

My shift key is pushing my pages aside every time I use it. Could someone help?
