My shuffle blinks green and orange....

My shuffle blinks green and orange and my computer won't recognize it. I've tried installing the latest version of Itunes, but every computer I use won't recognize the shuffle. Any suggestions or am I SOL?

That means that there is an error. When you say you've installed the latest version of iTunes have you also installed the latest version of the iPod updater?

Does that program recognize the iPod and if so can you restore the iPod shuffle with it?

My mom got a new computer. I installed Itunes and connected her 2nd gen Shuffle which previously had been administrated by her niece's computer. Since i upgraded to itunes 5.0, i lost my itunes , i can not open it no more, installed it again same thing. Now my Shuffle won't work, when you touch play it will blink the green and orange light. Can not speak with a shuffle agent because 3 months passed. And they want you to nuy an a contract for $59.00 for something that cost $149.00?

My 2nd gen ipod shuffle won't work and the light is flashing green and orange. Or green, orange, orange, orange. I've Reset, Restarted, Restored and Re-installed, so before I chuck it out I wondered if there were any other suggestions to get it working? Thanks,

Sounds like it's still under warranty (one year). Take it back for replacement.

I bought my daughter an ipod shuffle 1st gen last year. It stopped working, did everything I was suppose to do, sent it back to Apple, they sent me a new one. Now the stupid thing is flashing green and orange lights at me! I've tried restoring it with Reset Utility, but they are still blinking at me. This is supposed to be a newly refurbished ipod, I only recieved it today, so by rights it should be working...am I doing something wrong? It is charging, it is recognised in my computer but not in itunes. What is going on? Can anybody help...this is so frustrating.

Hold on... Alternating green and orange for 2 seconds means there's no playable music on it. Alternating green and TWO orange for 10 seconds means that it has to be restored. WHICH light pattern are you referring to?
What do you mean it's not recognised in iTunes? Does it NOT show up in the left most (Sources) panel?

The key word is "Dual Channel". The memory controller has two channels with two memory slots each. If the memory modules are supposed to operate in Dual Channel mode, they have to be inserted in different channels, otherwise they would both be in the same channel (running in Single Channel mode).

ITouch camera blinks green and black, sometimes purple

I have an iTouch 4G and a few months ago I dropped it, there are cracks but everything worked fine, now after five months the camera will not work. The screen blinks green and black and sometimes purple, I reset it, restored it, but it still doesnt work. I'm sure it wasn't from dropping it because it's the camera on the back that does not work. I'm still eligible for the warranty but will they not honor it because of the cracked screen? Thanks

Apple will exchange your iPOd for a refurbished one for $99, $149 or $199 depending upon the capacity.
Accidental damage like dropping the iPod voids the warranty for the entire iPod.

I found my old ipod shuffle. It has music on it. But, i can't hear it.
I tried reseting it. Now, it blinks green, orange, green, orange, so on.

I figured it out.
When you plug them in, you have to adjust the volume directly from the headphones or you don't hear anything. So use the little control on your apple headset and the sound will work. I feel like such an idiot for not figuring that out sooner *facepalm*

John's right about the orange meaning it's charging, and it will turn green when it's fully charged.
But it also should be green anytime it's not charging the battery. When everything is working right, that means it has quit charging because the battery is completely charged. But it can also show green if something is wrong that is keeping the battery from taking a charge.
