My shuffle will not charge and the computer is not reading it
I am having trouble with my 4th generation I-shuffle. While playing, it warned me the batery was low and then shut down, I bought it a month ago. It will not charge, no light is shown when plugged into the computer or it blinks red once, and my computer is not reading it as connected.
leave it plugged in for a while, it will snap out of it soon

My iPod shuffle only worked for a short time. It will not charge and the power light does not come on. Bought it in 2009. Put it back in the box and in my desk. Recently tried to get it to work again but no luck. Anyone else have this problem? Very disappointed with the product although my wifes work perfectly.

If you have the chance stop by an Apple Retail store and talk to them about it...they often work deals for replacement of out of warranty non-working items for prices around half price. Won't hurt to stop by and see what they will do for you. -

okay I will turn my iPhone 4 off then hook it up to my dell laptop in it will turn on but it will not charge and my computer wont install it on my computer can somebody help me please
yes it will charge otherwise places with the apdotor but when I put the just the wire in my pc it will not work it wont even be recognized by the cumputer (I know its not the wire because its chargeing now in a outlet ) iam try to reset it in the cp and itunes will not recognize it in the link did not help either

My computer's power adapter is plugged into a power source, yet the indicator light is not working and my computer is not being charged.
I have the same issue.
The magsafe goes orange for about 20 seconds, the battery shows 0% then it goes to a black X indicating no battery installed.
With a new battery the same happens, although it can run on battery but does not charge.
It runs fine on mains power, the green light is always lit.
I have tried several things so far:
1. Cleaned the magsafe contacts on cable and macbook
2. Reset SMC and PRAM
3. Installed latest battery update
4. Tried new battery
5. Put old battery in fridge for an hour
I work in IT and am fairly confident taking it apart, what should I try next?
Some people recommend a new battery connector, which doesn't seem to make sense as the battery has never been removed before. Also some people say it will need a new logic/motherboard.
Any experts here managed to sucessfully fix one of these? -

If it's still under warranty, Apple will fix it, but you have to send it to them, so you won't have it for several weeks. If the warranty is expired, they'll still do it, but you'll have to pay for it. Last I heard, it costs $99/S&H.
That is the ultimate defect in the iPhone. No other cellphone has a battery that is not user-replaceable. I won't buy a phone that doesn't. -

I am having problems with charging my mac Air. Sometimes it charges perfectly but then at times much as it shows that it's getting the power from the charger, it says "not charging" and the led light on the charger does not light up. Any help?

Kido-VjThat can happen when you are Taxing the system. No Apple supplied AC adapter supplies enough power to both power the system and charge the battery at the same time when the system is under Heavy Load, when you are Taxing the system heavily. At those times it will draw power from both the AC adapter and the battery at the same time. So if it is drawing power from both it can't charge the battery while it is drawing power from it.
