My sister and i have shared an itunes account for a while and we want our own accounts now but she still wants all the music she purched on the joint account and i still want all my app purchases for my ipod touch.

is there any solution to this problem?

Okay, but this is nothing new.  Purchased content has ALWAYS been permanently tied to the AppleID account used to buy it.  It has never been transferable between accounts, or playable on computers not authorized for that account.
It has nothing to do with how you sync or save your OWN music.  You cannot authorize your computer for music bought with an AppleID that you do not control.
