My sister's ipod touch messed up all of the imessaging between all of the iphones in the house. How do we fix it to just her own number and not sending it to mine.
If I text my mom it will go to her from our email as a text and the same for her. It's hard to tell who is who because every text is on the right side of the screen. Please descibe how to turn this off and have me and my mother's text sent to her number and my number. Also, when texting my sister it just sending to her.
On your sister's iPod go to Settings>Messages>Receive At and add a unique messaging email address and then delete the other email address.

When streaming music over bluetooth from my 3rd generation ipod touch to a sony device it jumps every 10 seconds and not just when moving or anything other devices do not do this just the ipod how can I fix this?

I upgraded my iPod Touch 4th Gen yesterday. Now it won't play music, which is the main thing I use it for. Over 11,000 songs [it's a 64GB model] -- will I actually have to restore the device and re-add all that music?
[Music files are still there, and I can play them on my computer directly from the iPod [just one track at a time] but not in the usual way, through headphones.]
On the Summary page of iTunes for the iPod, it shows 50-plus gigabytes of "Other" content and no music, which was not previously the case. I assume this is related to the problem.
I can bring up individual tracks on the iPod and see cover art, but cannot play the music.iCloud is free, iTunes match is $25 a year.
I had the same problem and when I went to Settings I had 0 songs, even though they were obviously still there since I only had 15GB free on my 64GB device.
I decided to do a complete reset/restore of my 4th gen iPod Touch, Bad move! I've been messing with it for hours, and it simply won't restore--it keeps hanging on a black screen with an Apple logo and a progress bar at about 10%, sometimes it goes completely blank and tries again, with the same result. I'm ready to bang my head against the wall! I can put the device in recovery mode, connect to iTunes on my computer, and get it back to the setup screen, but when I go through the process again and try to do an iCloud backup I get the same reset/restore loop.
I could start from scratch, but I really, really, really don't want to go through all of my hundreds of apps, reinstall them one by one, etc. etc. etc.
I thought that once I started using iCloud, I didn't need to sync with iTunes anymore--guess I was wrong. -

Just turning off Cloud will not prevent him from turning it back on.
Rignt now, if he uses the App store, iTunes thinks it's talking to me.First, turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account, while your sim is still in the phone. Then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. Give it to your grandson & he gat then set it up as he wants.
Important your turn iMessage & FaceTime off to disassociate the phone from your Apple ID. Apple "claims" to have fixed this with iOS 6.0, but until I can absolutely confirm such, I still recommend you turn all of that stuff off first. -

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). Why can I copy music to my iPad or iPod touch from multiple computers but from only one computer using my iPhone?
IPads and iPod Touches don't seem to have the same media copying restriction that my iPhone has. My main computer is at home. I have music at home and at work and sometimes I like to add it to my iPhone from work. I can do this no problem using my iPad or my iPod touch, but when it comes to my iPhone, I can only copy music to it from my main computer.
Why would the iPhone have this restriction but not the other two devices?
ps. Where's my "add currently playing song to playlist" button? I can't even find a third-party music app with this feature.Because...!

Although it isn't normally possible to sync an iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers (or manually manage an iPhone from more than one) it can be achieved if all computers have copies of the self same library. See Re: how do i sync on a second laptop without the data on my iPhone 5 being erased?

My 2nd generation ipod touch won't play on my new speaker dock but my iphone does
I just purchased a new speaker dock for my ipod touch but when I dock it it shows it's charging but no sound comes out of the speakers. When I dock my iphone on it, it plays fine and I know the ipod touch works because it plays on my old speaker dock.

Many vendors when they are updating apps for iOS 5 have droped support for iOS les than 4. It could be that the dock manufacturer is not support earlier iOSs and/or the 1G iPod.
I went to nadelectronics.com and only found the:
- VISO 1 which did not really say anything about compatibility.
- NAD IPD 2 Dock which said "Compatible with all current iPods and iPhones. The 1G with iOS 2.x may not be considerd current.
