My site changes cookie to store user options; worked in v3 but broke in v5/6. How do I change cookie value now?

Some 8 months ago, I started saving user options in my cookie; as user changed options, my php code change the cookie value. I work normally with Camino, but verify with Firefox (V. 3). An associate with a newer MacBook Pro, with Firefox V. 5, tried my site and reported that the option change 'did not take'. I tried using my V.3, and everything worked. Realizing that I should be on V. 6, I upgraded today, and myself verified that the 'new' cookie value is NOT being saved. Rather, a second cookie is being created but with WITH NO VALUE. Result: old cookie has old option value; new cookie has no value. I tried also with Safari, and got this same result. So, there must be a way to update a cookie value, just unknown to me. Please advise as to new/proper header(s) to send from my server to change cookie value.

Make sure that the cookies are created for the proper path.

One idea that was suggested y-day was to turn off the cable router, while on the Help call, and see if the Guest Network would work in Bridge mode.
The modem/router would need to have an option to be configured to operate as a modem only. Most don't. Whether or not that might be possible with your device would be question for your ISP.....who will probably not be very enthusiastic about this.
Even if it might be possible to configure the modem/router as a modem, you would want to make sure that the ISP will offer support for you in the event of connection difficulties. They may not support this type of configuration.
If you have the make and model number of the modem/router handy, I will see if I can locate a setup guide for the device to learn more about it.

Madison Square Garden web site opens but when I click on view all concerts tab at the MSG site it does not open. It works with AOL but not Firefox

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

None of the iTunes store troubleshooting options work after 11.1.3

I tried them all-every apple link, every support post-and nothing works. I'm not paying Apple to call in for tech support when thier own update broke iTunes.
I've created a new user group, didn't work.
I've redone/removed all cookies, didn't work.
all software updates are complete
I tried to deauthorize and reauthorize, but not cannot even connect to iTunes store to reauthorize.
The absolute only thing that changed is an upgrade of iTunes 11.1.3, which has blocked myself and countless others, out of the iTunes store.
I just dropped 400 bucks on a new iPad Mini, and am starting to regret being so heavily invested with Apple when their own updates break my products, and none of their fixes actually work.
so what's the deal? Has ANYONE had any success with this issue?

Firefox 3.6.12 does not load nay images from Joomla sites 1.5.21 and above. Works on Safari but Not Firefox. This happened after the firefox upgrade. All Joomla 1.5.20 and below work ok. why is this happening?

I have been developing Joomla sites for more than 4 years now and generally all the Joomla sites work well in Firefox. In this case, however, ever since Joomla upgraded to 1.5.21 and above, all Joomla sites on this level are having problems with Firefox 3.6.12 loading images.
We have tested a number of Joomla template manufactures and all the results are the same.
This problem is with the macbook pro only thus far. All the other apple products, like the towers, etc. are fine.
Not sure why this is happening. Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

You need 10.6.6 or later for the App Store. You need 10.6.8 or later for Mountain Lion. Make sure you have these other requirements for Mountain Lion so you can be sure to have Facetime support when you are ready to upgrade to Mountain Lion:

Publishing Error, and I have tried the Publish Site Changes option

I tried to update my website for the first time since upgrading and couldn't. I have tried the "Publish Site Changes" option as well as publishing the entire site, but am getting this error message:
An error occurred while publishing file “/private/var/folders/7R/7Ry8Tbdf2RW72E8ZQJxeU++TI/TemporaryItems/com.apple.iWeb636_TEMP_255615036_7/sites/Site/Musashino_Monday_4/Musashino_Monday_4files/Simps CloseUp.png”. Try publishing again later.

Error 7 is "No Data for 10 Secs" and is related to bandwidth issues.
It generally means the bandwidth dropped as you made the call.
This can be due to a number of factors.
As it is Comcast I would reboot your modem first as some peopel report thsi gets them their dful speed back.
After that talk to Comcast. They will not admit anything but things do seem to change.

Inter-Site Change Notification Not Working

I made the change in ADSIEDIT to enable Inter-site change notification after adding a second AD site on our domain.
The domain level and the old domain controllers in the main site are Server 2008 and the new domain controller for the new site is 2012 R2.
I tested it by adding and deleting users on a domain controller and checking that the users were added or deleted on the domain controller at the other site. It seemed to be working fine with that test. I could see the change within seconds.
However, I noticed that group membership changes and account lockout status are not updating quickly between sites.
I went back to ADSIEdit and saw that the "1" that I had entered in options a few days earlier was gone and it shows <not set> again.
I put the 1 back in and then when to a different domain controller and it still shows not set there.
What needs to be done to make sure that these changes stick and replicate between sites?

Account Lockout attributes such as PwdBadCount and BadPasswordTime are NONE replicated attributes and should contain unique values on each DC, so they might not be the best to verify change-notifications against, moreover not all group memberships
are replicated to a DC if it's not GC in a multi-domain environment.
Do you have any manual connection objects (e.g.) not managed by the KCC? If so those needs to be changed back to be managed by the KCC if the change-notification option should be automatically propagated down from the site link, or either you have to enable
change-notifications manually as well on those connection objects, have a look at:

Publish Site Changes causes website to fail

I have just redesigned my entire website using iWeb 09. It's a photo website, so publishing the entire website each time is just not feasible for bandwidth considerations, and why should I anyway?
The problem is that whenever I use the Publish Site Changes option, it causes my website to no longer load. It just sits at a blank page and appears to be cycling over and over and over, but never actually loading anything.
I don't want to have to located yet another piece of FTP software to do what iWeb is supposed to do out of the box.
The only way to fix this issue that I can fix is to go back and publish the entire website. it's eating up my bandwidth on GoDaddy.
The site I use with them is a LINUX hosted site, not Windows.
I can't find any help in the forums, so if anyone has the fix, I'd love to hear it.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For opening your domain file in Lion for the first time or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
Just launch the applicaiton, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

Or you can download an already compiiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain. Run it to open your site and see if you can publish. If that doesn't help try the following:
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.

First check the settings and try all of the options in the [[websites say cookies are blocked]] article.
In addition to the above, another possible cause is the file that stores cookies is corrupt, if that is the case deleting the file should fix the problem. First you need to locate your profile folder, for details of how to do that see the [[profiles]] article. Once you have opened the profile folder, close Firefox and either delete or rename cookies.sqlite, when you restart Firefox that file will be re-created.
