My site works in firefox but not safari?

title says it all. my website is www.royaltee-design.com

In your css file delete - @charset "UTF-8"; /* CSS Document */ - after the 'container' css PLUS you have an extra } before the start of you 'table' css, delete that as well and see if things get better.
#container {

  • Added a spry menu bar and site works in firefox but not in chrome or IE.  Please help

    Hello,
    I'm a photographer by trade and have only picked up enough web design knowledge  in order to build a website that isn't distracting to my photographs and is simple to update and mantain.  Please breakdown any answers to my questions in very simple terms.
    To start off here is a link to my site for reference.  www.cechternach.com
    1.  My Biggest problem right now is that my site works in firefox but appears as a blank white page in chrome and in IE it only shows my background color.
         I'm assuming that this has something to do with the spry menu bar I added.  The galleries, banner, and footer were all part of a previous version of this website that didn't use the menu bar.  I actually used png's exported from an illustrator as buttons.  I've been wrestling with this menu bar for a few days now.  I had an issue with the menubar forcing down the gallery below it.  that was fixed by changing a position value from relative  to absolute in the menubar css.  Then I couldn't see the submenu over the galleries.  I think I fixed that with a wmode change but I"m not sure if I did that right.  I believe i needed to change that in the object and embed part of the code.  One spot for certain browsers and the other spot for other browsers.  I was a little confused on this because i also read that i needed to change the wmode in the javascript file in dreamweaver cs4 which is what i'm using.  Whatever wmode I changed it seemed to work in firefox.  The submenu background was showing up transparent but i fixed that in the menubar css.
    2.  I would like the submenu's to have a semi transparent blurred background effect.  Is this possible with a spry menu bar?
    3.  How do I center my text in the submenu?
    4.  My menu bar buttons should be the same font as my name in my banner.  It looks fine on my computer that has that font loaded but on other computers I was testing the site on the menubar buttons show up as a default font.  How can i fix this?
    5.  Is there any way to get rid of the grey lines that show up around my slideshow pro galleries and menu bar buttons when they are clicked?
    The last four questions aren't as important as the first one.  I may be upsetting the flow of the forum as well.  Please let me know if I'm not following procedure with any of my questions.  Feel free to point out any other problems you see with my page.  I'm trying to learn this as I go.  Thanks in advance.

    Spry widgets, which includes the SpryMenuBar, in their original state do not pose any problem in any browser!
    Widgets contain two parts
    JavaScript which drives the widget
    CSS which styles the widget to individual tastes
    The most common reason for a widget to misbehave especially in IE is because the inexperienced web developer has upset the delicate balance of the CSS. I say delicate, because in the original, great care has been taken by the Spry team to ensure cross browser compatibility.
    There are other reasons why a whole page can misbehave. In these cases, the culprit should be sought outside of the Spry framework.
    When trouble shooting, I would first of all comment out all of the Spry Spry parts and test the page in IE. If it does work after that, then yes come back here and we will have a look at the SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css for you.
    If it doesn't work after disabling Spry, then have a look at the coding and the CSS for your page and fix that.
    I hope this helps.

  • Flash 10 works in FF but not Safari, OS X 10.5

    About a week ago flash stopped working in Safari and both firefox and safari started bugging me to install a newer version.  Muttering, I went to the download page and downloaded the latest, which claims to be for Safari, Opera, and firefox.
    Installation completes fine with no errors.  Firefox works.  But in Safari, I just get the usual 'no flash installed, would you like to download it?'
    I've downloaded and installed multiple times, no dice.  Plug-ins are enabled on Safari.  I do not have settings folders to delete--/Library/Application Supprt/Adobe has no flash player folder, only Acrobat, Updater6, and Help.
    This whole thing is a black box and I don't see what else to do.  Installation completes and there's no way to verify anything.  Any ideas would be welcome.

    Thanks! BTW I'm also having trouble updating Adobe Reader. I have 9.4.0 and want to update to the new Adobe Reader X. I keep getting Error 1402 which refers to the registry keys. I am unable to completely uninstall the old version. After receiving the error message it reloades the older version. I read about how to modify the registry to accept it but I believe this is a very wierd way to have to get an update loaded. Any suggestions?

    Hi Bruce, Adobe Flash Player is Installed separately into IE, since Windows uses the ActiveX Control. Firefox and other non-IE
    browsers must use the plugin Installer.

  • Rollovers & actions work in Firefox but not IE

    Hello,
    The site www.lamps-on-line.com has rollovers and actions created a few years ago in GoLive and now these effects only work in Firefox, but not in Interenet Explorer (IE7), which displays page errors.  Is there a way to fix this? I acknowledge that the site needs replacing but while it's still running my client wants it fixed.
    I set up a test page at www.lamps-on-line-com/test.html in which I took off all rollovers and actions, and this loads OK but I really don't want to have to resort to doing this on every page.
    I wondered if it is somrthing to do with 'Doctype'?
    Hope someone can help.

    I didn't see any errors when I looked at yourhome page in IE7 (on Vista). So which page elements were producing an error and what was the error you were seeing? Did you delete the cache in IE7 to check whether it was a caching problem? Tools > Internet Options > Browsing history (choose to delete)?

  • Flash buttons work in FireFox but not IE

    Hello again,
    Yep, sounds like you've got the general idea.
    hries22 wrote:
    I'm going to start from scratch and give it another go...would you reccomend converting every button to a symbol? Then give the symbols  a mouseover, click, and mouseout?
    I'd take all the elements that make up the button, and convert that into a symbol. Then you can go to labels with your code without worrying about the main timeline. Put all your code on the elements themselves, and not on the symbol instance.
    hries22 wrote:
    Also - and this minor - but is there a way to get a button's mouseover area to recognize transparency? For instance - I'll use a .png with transparency for a button...let's say the T-shirt. I want the mouseover to activate only when the mouse is over the t-shirt, and not over the transparent area around the t-shirt...any thoughts?
    By default, the hit area of a div in HTML is its bounding box. Right off the top of my head, I'm not sure there's a way to change it...maybe someone else can chip in?
    EDIT: here's an old-school way...could be a lot of work: http://www.svennerberg.com/2008/09/imagemap-rollover/

  • Why does the FP 10 work with firefox but not with IE8

    I down loaded the folowing for xp FP uninstall, FP plugin and FP debug from the link in one of your replys. now I can watch youtube  with firefox but not with IE8. you asked me before if i was using 16 bit. whats that mean and how do I find out? please help I just want to watch youtube on IE!

    Ok Shag, since you hadn't been on a Forum before, then I'll take some of what I said back:-) I wanted you to stay on one thread, you can get in trouble trying things that may cause you more problems than you had in the beginning. I just had your best interest at heart
    I'll even overlook your all caps here:-) At least you responded
    Now since you say you fixed it, what you should do is to confirm it is fixed by taking a look at your Flash folder. This contains all of the Flash files for IE and FF. Then make sure you have the IE add on and the FF add on. That way if you have any future problems, at least you would know it is not the Flash Player.
    You should only have 2 .exe files for IE and 1 for FF.
    For Video editing, I would check Microsoft and see what they have. Perhaps someone else will come along with other info for you.
    No, I don't get paid here, since I am not an employee. Just a user helping others, since I had a problem at one time and after 4 hours of researching solved it.
    Let me know if you want to check the Flash files.
    Thanks,

  • Works in Firefox but not in IE

    I have a webpage that when published looks exactly how I want
    it to in firefox but not in Internet Explorer. The problem is it
    shows the bulleted list in Firefox but not in IE. How can I fix
    this?

    I do not now what the function of this declaration is, but
    please remove this from the beginning your css and IE7 also shows
    bullets:
    margin: 0;
    padding: 1;
    The padding: 1; is definitely an error cause there should be
    at least something like px behind the 1, so like padding:
    1px;

  • Site works in IE, but not in Firefox

    First, some particulars:  I am on Windows 7, Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 4, and Flash player version 10.2.159.1.
    In making a few small updates to a website (no functionality changes, just cosmetic ones), I find that now the site will not work properly in Firefox, but it works perfectly fine in Internet Explorer.  The site is all in one .SWF, which works fine when I test it here locally, and works exactly as intended with Internet Explorer.  It is only in Firefox (and Safari, from what a Mac friend tells me) where this problem is occuring.
    The problem I am having in Firefox is that even though the site will load and display the home page properly, but none of the other pages will load when I try to click through to them.  Each page is supposed to fade out as you navigate away from it, and the new page is supposed to fade in.  The home page will fade out as I navigate to another page, but none of the other pages will fade in.  And again, this only happens in Firefox... with Internet Explorer, everything works fine.
    Is there some difference in what bits of ActionScript Firefox recognizes?  The site is behaving on Firefox as though it doesn't recognize the command to fade in a certain page.
    Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Based on your page code you should have the swf object javascript file placed on the server per the following address, but it appears to be missing if I try to link to it...
    http://www.joyertomas.com/Scripts/swfobject_modified.js
    Taking care of that might fix your problem
    (It took me awhile to reply mainly because I had to figure out how to uninstall IE9 and get my IE8 back... My updater reported yesterday that IE9 was a critical update for IE8 and installed it over IE8 (I rate that as a criminal business practice).  Today there've been a couple of times where I go to post a reply, such as I just tried for yours, and it acts as if I am trying to navigate to another page rather than posting the reply.  So......  I decided IE9 just isn't ready/needed)

  • HTML snippet works on Firefox but not in IE or Safari

    First off, I'm a newbie.
    I just created a webcam site in iWeb at www.blackcatcam.com. I used the following HTML snippet to show the webcam image;
    http://home.comcast.net/~ebizboy/Webcam.jpg />
    It is supposed to go get a constantly updated webcam image from the server and display it on the web site.
    The entire page works fine using Firefox but the webcam image does not show up using Safari and the HTML snippet itself shows up when accessing the page from IE.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Gatto Nero

    Yikes. Now I'm even more confused. I am using Safari Version 4.0.3. I can see the links on the right and the ads on the left just fine, but still no webcam image. Would you mind clicking on the link for the Live View and let me know if that works for you? I found out that the gadget I used for that won't work with IE but it works fine for me with Safari and Firefox.

  • Flash on my site working in IE but not firefox?

    Uploaded new update to my site last night, but I cannot seem to get the swf files to play or even show up in firefox. I have not checked with any other browsers, but it works fine in IE(not sure of version). Also, it displayed correct when I was previewing it from my local machine in firefox, just not after I had uploaded it to my server, and I cannot figure out why. JS turned on, checked everything that I can. Here is my site:
    http://skylerloans.com/
    If it is or is not working for you, could you please let me know, and what browser you are using? I would like to get it up asap, as I am also going to upload a guestbook soon, I just want to make sure it will display!
    Thank you for your time,
    Skyler

    Thank you for the response. The swf are a poll on my website, and a clock. Try using IE, I bet they show up and you can view them!
    I am using dreamweaver. I go to insert>media>flash and then select my swf file from my root. All my files that go along with the swf are uploaded, and it works fine when I preview from my local machine!
    Here is a snippet of code concerning the swf in my source:
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0" width="600" height="410" title="loans">
          <param name="movie" value="preview.swf" />
          <param name="quality" value="high" />
          <embed src="preview.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="600" height="410"></embed>
        </object>
    And again, it works like a charm in Internet Explorer, I cannot figure this out.
    Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it!

  • Attr method works in Firefox but not in IE8

    I have a page load javascript that does .attr to a button.. this works in Firefox and Chrome but not IE8..
    This is what I found as a solution on a web site.. but I dont know how to append the button to a DOM element:
    The 'attr()' method does not return the expected values in IE8, but it does so in Firefox and Safari. This can be remedied by appending the IMG element to a DOM element (like 'html' or 'body') and calling 'attr()' again.
    /* get original onclick event */
    var origAction = $('button[value=Create]').attr('onclick').toString();
    /* get link from original onclick event using regular expression */
    var link = origAction.match(/(redirect\((\'|\"))([^\'\)|\"\)]*)/)[3];
    /* Remove original onclick event */
    $('button[value=Create]').removeAttr('onclick');
    /* store link as title attribute of button */
    $('button[value=Create]').attr('title', link);

    Hi,
    I have not tested and do not know does it make any different, but try use selector
    $('button[value="Create"]')Regards,
    Jari
