My Skype Number is busy continuously

I am trying to call up the skype number from my mobile number however it is coming busy continously.

Hi, IAL, and welcome to the Community,
Hopefully, you are not signed on to Skype on the mobile device at the same time you are testing your Skype Number. If you are, that could be the problem. Try calling the Skype Number from a fixed line, instead. Otherwise, you will need to please contact Skype customer service directly to sort this as we here in the Community do not have the resources to diagnose and resolve.

Just purchased a skype number subscription few days ago and its have been always busy. Can I either get my money back or Skype fix this issue as soon as possible?

I'm based in guildford, and I'm looking for a skype number for business calls. There does not seem to be a skype number available in any area of surrey or hampshire... why? can I get one?

I spoke to them via the online chat support system a few times. I was told that they were escalating the problem to a higer service level and that I'd hear back from them soon. That was a few days ago, and so far I've heard nothing. I tried using Skype again last night and the problem is still there. I've heard other people are having the same issue too. If you're using Android, check out an app called "OTO". It allows free international calls (only use the minutes as if you were calling another phone in Korea) and has worked fine for me so far. It's not as good as Skype, but it works until this issue gets resolved.

... please note that the Skype Number will not "ring busy" - if you are using Skype, incoming calls would be diverted according to your Tools -> Options settings. The Skype Number provides a phone number for people to reach you, but the number has nothing to do with outbound calls you place.

Skype says my 'to go' number is busy

When I call my skype to go phone number, it will sound like it is ringing between 1-4 times, and then simply say that the phone number is "busy". It takes 5-6 rings at my end before my wife hears the first ring at her end. I know that the phone number is not busy. This has been a problem intermittently as long as I have used the 'Skype to go' system. Now this is the only response that I get.

When I tried to call my Skype Number is always busy. I called Microsoft Technical Support, and they said there is no issue! I tried to call again my skype number and still it is busy! I don't know when this issue can be resolved?! Please note that the privacy setting is: accept calls from anyone.

Please do contact Skype Customer Service instead, as Skype Customer Service will have the necessary tools to test your number. One point to clarify - if you are calling your Skype Number from Skype, then your Skype Number will ring busy as Skype sees this as calling yourself.
Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

Calling my Skype Number results in busy signal.

I tested my Skype number from my cell phone an my landline, and I get a busy signal each time. I have to do a consulation via Skype, but now I cannot. I just updated my 3-month subscription and my account shows that the number is active. Should I get a new Skype number? I need this to work.

Please check this first: in the Windows version of the Skype client software,
Tools -> Options -> Calls -> be sure that Allow calls to my Skype number(s) from... anyone is ticked or checked in -> Save.
Please try your tests again, ensuring that your mobile phone is not already signed on to Skype at the same time.

Skype Number Busy

Today, I notice that we were receiving any calls from my Skype number. I have 3 of them setup for my business. Every number that I have rings with a busy signal. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Skype number not working

Evening to all. Purchased skype number yesterday, have gone through what I think is all of the replies, and tried them all, my skype number is still always busy..........please help. Thankyou

By way of reminder, perform your test calls from a mobile or fixed line phone; if you call your Skype Number from Skype, Skype gets confused and thinks you are calling yourself, and the call will always ring busy.
If you have tried the former, you will need to please contact Skype customer service for further assistance.

As you know you intend to contact Customer Service, skip past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page).
