There is nowhere in the skype menu an address to file a complaint!!!! this is a serious issue...

... please note that the Skype Number will not "ring busy" - if you are using Skype, incoming calls would be diverted according to your Tools -> Options settings. The Skype Number provides a phone number for people to reach you, but the number has nothing to do with outbound calls you place.

My Skype number is displayed wrong to those I call...

Hello,
It seems anyone I call from my Skype number is seeing a totally different number displayed on their device than my own. Can someone please tell me how to fix that or how to contact Skype chat. I really need my proper number displayed when I make a call. It's creating a problem for me. I'm operating on a Mac OSX 10.8.5 and have a 3 month Skype subscription.

When I tried to call my Skype Number is always busy. I called Microsoft Technical Support, and they said there is no issue! I tried to call again my skype number and still it is busy! I don't know when this issue can be resolved?! Please note that the privacy setting is: accept calls from anyone.

Please do contact Skype Customer Service instead, as Skype Customer Service will have the necessary tools to test your number. One point to clarify - if you are calling your Skype Number from Skype, then your Skype Number will ring busy as Skype sees this as calling yourself.
Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

I have a few questions relating to the Skype Number, which I recently bought.
The main purpose for me using the Skype number is to receive business calls and have them forwarded to my mobile. I have a small business, and want to appear as if I had a landline number.
Here are my queries:
1) Can I have call forwarding on at all times, even if I am logged in to Skype?
2) Does it cost to forward calls to my mobile?
3) If so, is there a specific plan I can get to pay a flat rate?

- If you have set-up call forwarding in Skype, call forwarding status will be set when you're offline in Skype. Calls can also be forwarded when you're online if the call was not answered after a number of rings.
2) Does it cost to forward calls to my mobile?
- If you use Skype Credit as a payment method, the forwarded calls will be charged at the Skype’s great pay per minute rates. For example, if you forward your incoming Skype calls to a mobile number in the United States, you’ll be charged exactly what it costs to call a mobile in the United States from Skype.

Calling my Skype Number results in busy signal.

I tested my Skype number from my cell phone an my landline, and I get a busy signal each time. I have to do a consulation via Skype, but now I cannot. I just updated my 3-month subscription and my account shows that the number is active. Should I get a new Skype number? I need this to work.

Please check this first: in the Windows version of the Skype client software,
Tools -> Options -> Calls -> be sure that Allow calls to my Skype number(s) from... anyone is ticked or checked in -> Save.
Please try your tests again, ensuring that your mobile phone is not already signed on to Skype at the same time.

Skype Number Australia getting busy tone always

Hi All,
I have bought aq new Skype online number for Australia and my credit balance is zero.
I have updated my settings to receive calls to online numbers from anyone.
I have taken this number for incoming callls predominantly and i am currently residing in india.I tried the support page but the live chat window aint opening for me.
Pleae help me out as it is pretty urgent and i have given number to contact and am facing trouble now.

Number not recognized message when trying to call ...

I renewed my subscription on 3/27/13. I just bought a new computer with Windows 8 on it. I have been able to call the UK before on my old computer but now every time I try the UK number it says either "Call Failed" or "This number is not recognized." Please help. Thank you.

I have the same problem. I can call from the U.S to many numbers in the U.K, but one cousin's is "not recognized". That number does work from a normal phone.

When i got my skype number it was busy when someone tried to call me and my skype was online . I changed my skype to only friends on skype list logged out for 5 minutes then logged in and changed it back to everyone can contact me. Been 3 days now and still no joy on my chefdamo account

UK Skype Number on iPhone 5s

Hi,
I am doing this for the first time. I am currently travelling alot and as such need to be contactable on a central number. I would like that central number to be a UK number from skype where people from the US, UK and the Middle East can call me.
However in addition I was wondering, since I have the skype application on my iphone 5s, if there was a way that when someone calls me from the US, UK or the Middle East on the Skype UK number, if I can make it so that the number ports the call to my local number of the country I am in?
For example, I am in the North of India at the moment. And say I have obtained a UK skype number. Someone from the Middle East calls me on the UK skype number and diverts to my India mobile number. However I dont want the caller to know that I am in India or that the call was diverted to my India number. I want the caller to still think he/she is calling a UK number. This would be the ideal scenario.
However, I think what does happen and am not sure . . . in the same above scenario . . . when the person calls the UK skype number, it rings on my iphone but it rings on the skype application which means while the person thinks they are still calling the UK number, I am limited to always being around WIFI in order to accept the call. If I am out and about with no WIFI, I cannot get the call. What happens to the call then - does it go into some sort of voice mail where once I am within WIFI range I can return the persons call back?
The other question I have - what happens when I call the person from the skype application. Is there a way that I can call overseas and have them only see the UK skype number that I have obtained from skype?
Any advise on what is the best method for me to follow so that people can reach me on one central number that is a UK based number and they think they are calling a UK number no matter where in the world I am. AND when I call them all they see on their end is the same UK number. And of course I would love for the solution to be economic in terms of cost and not to technical to use as I am not technical - I prefer the phone rings and I pick or I pick the phone and I call kind of easy process . And of course it should be compatible for my iphone 5s

iOS 7 will offer call blacklisting, which in reality is not true call blocking. It allows a call to connect, compares the caller ID information with a database of blacklisted numbers, and if a match is there, it hangs up the call without ever riniging.
The feature is part of iOS 7, not specific to the iPhone 5s at all.

Our online number is not working when trying to call from Telia mobile phones in denmark. I have checked with Telia in Denmark and they tell us that the problem is a "prefix" that is set wrong from SKYPE's side?
Could someone at skype please help get this fixed, as some of our customers can not call us.
