My skype shows offline to my contacts whenever I go away from computer I am using Macbook Pro Retina early 2015. I am using another mac as well and that mac shows away to other users but new Mac shows offline status to my contacts whenever I away.

i run test on printer it tells me it is offline so wont print anything from cmputer

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I just wrote this message and received an error and it disappeared, so I'm rewriting my question.
First I will say that I have two Skype accounts. The other day my boyfriend and I were having problems with the Skype sound so we did an experiment. I accepted him as a contact in my second account and we chatted briefly before going back to my first original Skype account.
He had originally been showing only 17 contacts (when I pass my cursor over his username when he is in offline mode. ). When I added him to my second user account, it still only showed him as having 17 contacts, yet when we went back to my original account, he was now showing 18 contacts.
I was curious about this and so deleted him from my second Skype account as we primarily use the other one, anyway. However, it still shows him as having 18 contacts in my first Skype account. Why is this? He should now only be showing 17 contacts since I deleted him from the other account. Is there some kind of a glitch in Skype or is it from some other reason?
I did try restarting Skype to see if it was an updating issue. He has also logged into his account and so his side should have updated, too. I would be grateful to anyone who might know the answer to this. Thank you.

If you inadvertantly pressed a character while in the messanger application, the message list will only display contacts that start with that letter. If thats not the issue, try removing battery and re-insert...

Contact showing offline when online

Hello, I using (newest) Skype on my computer, and one time i used it too on Windows Phone... First time when i get trouble to other see im online but no i will logout all devices online.. Sooo/showplacesand/remotelogout .So, its helped, but anyway, yesterday i taked a sleep my computer... After a 20 minutes ago has powersupply stopped work so Network card etc has stops working... (so PC fully shuted down). But anyway, its will be STILL VISIBLE like as im Online??? Why??? Actually result from /showplacesYou have 1 online endpoints:

My contacts are showing offline when they are indeed online...and they see me as offline too...this is a new problem. I have deleted Skype and downloaded v5.9 for Windows...still no joy..what is going on please?

NAS showing offline when connected

Hi,
I have a mac running (Yosemite 10.10.1) that is set up with a NAS (WD Cloud) drive which is where all my photos are stored. I set this up with organiszer and was able to import and set up albums, this all worked ok until a few days ago when Elements is saying that the NAS drive is offline when its not.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I lost my iPhone oversea. It's show offline on find my I iphone. I try to add serial number then it show that this serial number belong to other Apple ID.

According to our records, this serial number is associated to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other added products. Not sure if you have another Apple ID? Find out

No, unless you had Find My iPad enabled on it then there isn't any way to try and locate it.
Have you reported it to the police in case somebody hands it in ? You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc., and if it was a cellular model also contact your carrier.

Skype shows that it is calling the wrong number

(Skype version 7.2.0.103 running on a Windows 8.1 desktop computer.)
As of this morning I been having an issue with skype where it shows that it is calling the first of three numbers I have set up for a contact, even when it is in fact calling one of the other numbers.
For inscance I select to call the second number for the contact (the office number), skype shows that it is calling the first number (the cell phone). Skype actually calls the office number (as was selected), it just indicates that it is calling the cell number.
Confusing/Annoying problem, but not critical.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

TS4006 Both my iPhone and iPad are showing offline

I was able to use find my iPhone and iPad In the past but now both devices show "offline". I have enabled iCloud and updated both devices.

One reason you may have duplicates is that you have each contact listed under your 'iCloud' account AND under your 'on my mac' account. Only contacts in the iCloud account will sync.
Click on the ribbon in the Address Book to reveal 'Users & Groups', and then by selecting each account on the left side you will see which contacts are in which account. (make sure nothing is typed in the search field)
If this is the reason you have duplicates you have two options of dealing with the situation. Either you can leave the duplicates alone and click on one account or the other before clicking on the ribbon again to limit what you see to that account when you return to the main part of your Address Book.
Or you can delete all the contacts from one account (usually the 'on my mac' account if you want to continue syncing with iCloud). Click on the account you want to delete contacts from on the left side of the Address Book and select the first contact in the list on the right, shift click the last contact to select all and delete.
Finally, You may want to check your default account is set correctly in the Address Book preferences.

I would like to assist you today with resolving the 'offline' issues that you're experiencing when trying to print from your Windows 8 computer to your wirelessly connected HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer. Now, recently Microsoft has released a Hotfix for the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems to 'fix' offline printing issues as Microsoft recognizes this as an issue with their latest Operating System. Therefore, to start, I am going to have you run the Hotfix to see if this resolves the printing issues.
Can I please have you click here to access the Hotfix page. Once the website opens select the 'Hotfix Download Available' button. Allow the Hotfix to run. Please follow any onscreen steps to install the Hotfix.
Once the fix has completed, please test printing again. Should the Offline issue persist there is an additional driver fix that I may need to walk you through. Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

SMF service always shows offline even when it is up and running

I have added a service to SMF under /var/svc/manifest/application and am successful in starting it, but state always shows offline. How can I get it to show up as "online"?

Turns out I just needed to launch the app as a background task (use & in my svc method file) and it works fine.

Then it should work just the same as on your old computer.

I have only updated my mid 2009 macbook pro to Yosemite.
I have synced to my iPhone ok.
My Messages status always shows "offline" on the MBP even though I can chat on it.

How to get an email online when showing offline for sending. Solutions on site don't solve the problem.

How do you get an email account online when it is showing offline for sending. All settings are correct, previous solutions on the site don't help. One account works find the other one receives but doesn't send. No issues with ISP was found. This may have been happening since OS travel. Took a while to realise it was using the other account for sending.

I just solve the problem. While OS we brought an internet USB and connected to a phone, one or both of these must have caused the problem. When both of the downloads associated with them were deleted the email issue was resolved. regards

I have an iMac and MacBook Pro, both running Snow Leopard at current maintenance levels. I have an HP8500 printer connected via wi-fi. All have been working well until just recently. Now, the iMac cannot communicate with the printer. The printer icon shows offline. The printer is still online to the MacBook. I suspect a related problem is that when I try to access files on the MacBook from the iMac, I get a message that they are unavailable, but re-clicking once or twice to re-try works and the files are accessible. The only problem is that I cannot modify them from the iMac, even though the sharing options are set for update capability.
Resetting the printer and re-booting the iMac don't help.

Yosemite is a big problem.
I recommend you factory reset the TC and start over.
Factory reset universal
Power off the TC.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the TC to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
N.B. None of your files on the hard disk of the TC are deleted.. this simply clears out the router settings of the TC.
Redo the setup from Yosemite.. it needs to be directly involved in the setup to remember anything.
Please use short names.. no spaces and pure alphanumeric. eg TCgen5 base station name. TCwifi as wireless name.
Set password WPA2 Personal security which is pure alphanumeric mixed case and numbers.
Please empty out all the old wireless names from your devices.. reboot them and rediscover the network.
If it still fails tell us.
