I tried restoring my Ipod and it doesn't work. It worked once then i couldn't do it again. Please help.

If you only restored from backup, restore to factory defaults/new iPod. If you then still have the problem it is likely a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Perform a Reset... Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

TS3274 the sleep and wake button can not work

Now my sleep and wake button can not work. When I press it either long press or short press. no response at all.
, then I long press the home button to restart the ipad. It appears the apple logo, but after a while, the screen just a flash, and then restart again, and the apple logo appears again. It never restart properly until I plug in the USB cable with it to connect it with PC.
What is wrong with my iPad, pls help, much appreciated!

1. What sleep/wake button are u talking about? You mean the power button? Sleep/wake is a function, not a button, which works for covers that supports it.
2.You press home button to RESTART ipad?? what home button? the one at the bottom of the screen or at the top?

i can relate...it's frustrating! i suddenly have that same issue, as well as my off button isn't working....my phone was functioning just fine until my granddaughter played with it for about 5
minutes> that's all it took, the volume & off button didn't work when she gave it back to me. call it coincidental...who knows, and know one seems to know the FIX. but i can tell you that if your sound setting is ON, then that's not going to fix the problem. i've even reset my phone from settings, but that didn't resolve the issue either. the next step would be to plug into itunes & do a factory restore.....but i read someone tried that and it didn't work either, so good luck getting a resolution for this...:)

IPad 2 Rotation, Sleep, and Volume Buttons Don't Work.

I have an iPad 2 running 7.1.1 (11D201) and just yesterday the sleep sleep and volume buttons don't work, and the screen won't rotate at all. I have already tried the following:
Switched the Lock Rotation/Mute settings in General
Power cycling it
Held the sleep and menu button to reset it (the button worked for that at least)
Done a network reset
Reset All Settings and restored from backup
Reset All Settings and restored from iCloud
Erase All Content and Settings and restored from backup
Erase All Content and Settings and restored from iCloud
If anyone has any OTHER suggestions besides what I've already tried, I am all ears. Thanks.

Go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

I would start with closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device. If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close. Test the results after processing these steps.

My iPod touch's lock/hold and volume buttons do not work, my WiFi also does

My iPod has done this for quite a while and the hold button and volume button (no matter how hard or long pressed) does not work. When I go to settings and look at the WiFi button it won't even let me touch it and it says "No WiFi" even when there is. My warranty has run out though and I don't want to have to pay a lot to repair it. Any help?

I would first try resetting your iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next would be restoring it from backup via iTunes in your computer.

I know there are some problems with Question Slides, but I'm using them as timesavers. Building question slides yourself takes a lot more time. When I started using them, I had to find the right settings to get the results I wanted, but now mostly I do not have that much problems anymore (if the internet connection is not failing).
What are your Quiz settings: can the user have more than one attempt, do you allow Backward movement, Review possibility etc? Is the uploading to a LMS (which one), what were the Manifest settings?

My ipod touch fourth generation keyboard and unlock button are not working

my ipod touch fourth generation was working at one moment and then when i went to unlock the screen and type in the passcode it would not let me swype the unlock button and when i turned it off and back on again and the passcode section popped up it would only let me type the 1, 2, and 3 buttons and now it is not letting me type at all. What do i need to do? The screen is also cracked but when i cracked the screen i was still able to see what i was doing and still able to use the ipod but this was before the keyboard and unlock button stopped working, I dont know if the screen being cracked would have anything to do with the keyboard and unlock button not working. - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. Could be the crack progressed to the point thtt portions of the screen no longer respond to touch

Mini ipod menu and play buttons are not working

My ipod menu button has not worked now for a few months. I can't get back to my main playlist and choose certain things, I just have to listen to the all the songs. Now the play button is not working either, its working to turn on-play-pause, but not to turn it off. So it stays on till the battery goes dead. Help Please-anything!!

It may take quite a few attempts and is best done connected to power.
If this doesn't work, try restoring the iPod to factory settings.
However, it seems as if it may be a hardware problem and need service.

HT201401 Volume buttons are not working and the volume option is not showing up on screen for me to be able to adjust it. My silent switch is not turned on.

I went to turn my app on that plays my music at night while I sleep and the volume buttons on the side of the phone don't work. The volume slider isn't even showing up on the screen in any of the apps that have audio available. I have restarted the phone numerous times, looked in settings, made sure my phone is up to date, and made sure that the "silent switch" is on. I checked to make sure that I can hear the alarms I have set go off, but the volume isn't working any where else on the phone.

Do the basic troubleshooting steps: Restart, Reset, Restore using a backup, Restore as new. (See User Guide, Appendix B)

Stuck on apple logo and Home button doesn't work, help please?

Well, I dropped my iPod Touch 4g by accident and since that day, the home button hasn't really been working that well. Its very hard to use since you have to press it in really hard to get it to work and sometimes it doesn't even work at all. Anways, I was skyping with my girl and I didn't notice that I had to charge the iPod and it died on me so I was like what ever its normal and started to charge it. When it turned on, it got stuck on the Apple logo and its been there for more than a day now? What can I do? I tried to connect it to itunes and see if I could restore it but it won't recognize it no matter where I connect it. Tried it on 3 different computers and none worked at all. I can't take it to an Apple store since there isn't any close to where I live and I really don't have anyone to take me there. I have this same issue. But also, it isn't just that the lock/home button stops working, all buttons stop working. Even if you switch it to silent sounds are still played. I just got my iphone Thursday. Went to school the next day and pulled it out, it happened while it was locked I guess because my screen was black and I couldn't do anything! Thought it died already! This was around 12. Finally I pulled it out of my pocket again at around 3 and it showed the Apple logo and acted like it had just started back up. Which is what always happens after I get stuck playing a game or something. Help please, has happened two or three times just today.
