My Smurfs village won't update on my iPod 3

Can anyone help me?? I have an iPod 3rd gen and the last 2 or 3 smurfs village updates are being picked up on my iPod. I have been able to update it on an iPod 4th gen and also an iPhone 5 but it isn't working on the iPod 3.
I have tried using the app store app on the Ipod and also iTunes but neither works. Now I am stuck with the Christmas theme still.
Does anyone have any advise??
Thanks

Oh, hrd8080, There is nothing for update in Smurfs' Village for your earlier iPod Touch 3rd generation. If you wish to update, here is the supported devices by me: iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 4th Generation, iPod Touch 5th Generation.
If you are still using iPod Touch 3rd Generation, your iOS version must be least at 4.3 or higher (later).

you can turn on the airplane mode function so the app isn't trying to reach their server
there is currently a server issue but you can still get in your game to save crops, etc.

I am having problems updating and restoring my ipod in itunes 7. It simply disconeects Ipod when asked to do so.
    Thanks a lot !!

    hmmmmmm.
it might be worth quickly checking on the issue from this document:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes 7 doesn't recognize iPod
(my diffidence here is because it's a fairly new issue, and i don't have a good feel for the "symptom sets" associated with it ... still, it does no harm to check.)

  • Changed id, won't update on icloud.

I changed my apple id, but it won't change on icloud on my ipod touch.  I can log into icloud on the computer w/ the new id, but the ipod has the old id on icloud and won't allow me to change it.  W/o it I can't get my calendar to sync w/ my son's baseball schedule which I synced to my gmail calendar on the computer, but it won't update to the ipod.

I sync'd my son's baseball schedule from highschoolsports.net into my gmail calendar.  I can see it on my computer gmail calendar, but it won't sync with my ipod calendar.  If I manually type something onto my computer calendar, it immediately shows up on my ipod.
Also I downloaded the app "USA Holidays" today, and even though it says it added the holidays to my calendar, they are not there.

My itunes and ipod say that i need the latest ipod update software which i downloaded and installed, however it won't update on my ipod now i can't put new music from the music store on my ipod.....i don't know how to get the latest software update on my ipod i won't work
    HELP!

    Steve,
It sounds like you are having the same problem as me, I found this suggestion in another discussion and it worked...
Download the update, but skip using the Installer...
"...get around it by going to Applications -> Utilities -> iPod Software Updater and install version 2.3 of the iPod software directly, without the install package.
Before that, trying to copy purchased music to the iPod (since iTunes 5) failed with the "iPod software too old" message, and when we tried to install the package for the 2005-09-23 updater, it said the iPod couldn't be updated because it needed OS 10.2.8 or higher (we're on 10.4.2). But by executing the updater from the folder above, we saw that version 2.2 was installed on the iPod, and clicking "Update" after launching the updater directly got us to version 2.3 of the iPod software. Then we were able to transfer newly purchased music to the iPod again."

  • Updater crashed my iPod also

So I installed the latest iPod update, 2006-06-28. The iPod restarted with a blank screen. I restarted it a few times, it gave me a three-note tone each time but wouldn't actually boot up the iPod OS, just the white screen of death. I tried initiating the latest update again, but it won't update until the iPod "becomes ready," which it refuses to do. I can't update or restore. I tried installing an earlier update but it wouldn't work either, in fact after I left it for a minute it told me I had multiple iPods plugged in (which I didn't). I saw somebody else with the same or similar problem on a PC. Has Apple heard about this? I'm hoping there's a fix on the way if there's no way to do it myself. Thanks for any help.

Plug it into an external power source and let the firmware reset, if you haven't done so already.

  • Complete U2 won't go to my iPod

The Complete U2 on my hard disc won't update to my iPod. It plays in iTunes just fine, but when I try to update TCU2 into my iPod, it doesn't go. Everything else goes, TCU2 doesn't.
    It used to work.
    I have a 2nd generation (I think) 15GB iPod.

I figured it out myself ... just needed to authorize the computer

  • Smurfs Village

HELP PLEASE!!!! My smurfs village application icon stuck on "Waiting/Loading" while I update to the version 1.3.2

    - I do not understand the instructions.  The Users Guide defines a reset as:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - When yo do what they say a slider appears that says slide to power off which is different that a rest.  With neither a power off or a reset, nothing will be lost.

  • TS1702 2 of my apps won't update and my music isn't showing. Help?

Mysmurfs village and logo game won't update. I have tried re-syncing my iPad and everything but won't work. Also when I plug it into the laptop it says I have 392 songs on it yet when I goin to music on my iPad there is nothing there. Can someone help?

Try resetting the iPad: Simultaneoisly hold down the On and Home buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignor the off slider if it should appear. This should take around ten seconds, give or take. Once shut down is complete, turn the iPad back on using the On button.

  • Playsists selected for syncing no longer exist? ipod won't update

My new ipod won't update because it says that playlists I've selected for syncing no longer exist. For this reason I can't get any of my music onto my ipod and I don't understand what I am supposed to do to fix this
    dell inspiron   Windows XP

Hi guys, I've been having the same problem. Specifically, when I try to transfer songs from iTunes to my iPod I get the following error message: "Songs in the iPod "My iPod" cannot be updated because all the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist". I did some searching around at this site, and found that one possible problem is that my library is larger than my iPod's capacity, so I have to eliminate some songs. I did this, but I still get the same error message.

  • Certain apps won't update or download on any device.

I've searched for two weeks to no avail. I've seen similar problems posted but nothing quite like this. I have an iPhone 5s iOS 8.2, a 4th Gen iPad iOS 8.2 and Mac Mini Late 2014 OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. It all started with wanted to download the Pages app. My iPad is old enough it wouldn't let me download it for free so I initiated the download on my iPhone and then promptly cancelled. I then tried to download Pages from "the cloud" onto my iPad. It downloaded 3/4 of the way and failed stated that the app could not be downloaded at this time with two options to continue: done and retry. And now there are a handful of apps that will fail somewhere in the download and some apps that are already installed on the devices that won't update. Any app that has previously failed WILL download over cellular network on the iPhone 5s. I've tried four separate location with WIFI access and these same apps will not download. I've cleared network statistics, restored the iPhone to factory defaults, changed Apple ID password, tried a different Apple ID, and trying to download apps on Mac Mini to sync to iPhone/iPad over tethered connection. The only partial fix I have discovered is to start download over cellular network and switch to WIFI download. Please... any ideas. I feel I may have left out some steps I might have taken so please feel free to ask any questions.

I had this problem and solved it by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
Note: This will not delete any apps, songs, videos, or podcasts from your phone. It will only reset your wallpapers, brightness, bluetooth, contact sorting, network preferences (still remembers networks though), etc.  It's a bit annoying to go update all these back to how yo like, but much less annoying than a full restore.
DO NOT press Erase All Content and Settings. This will delete everything and you'll have to restore from iTunes.

  • IMac display issues: black icons and folders, doubled up files in finder windows, programs won't update

    HELP!
I'm hoping someone can help with my iMac 27" purchased in 2010.  From a previous discussion I started a year ago, I have had virtually nothing but trouble with it.  After the internal hard drive crashing, I was able to install OS X on an external drive and used it for a good 8 months to drive my iMac and I took it to an expert who has replaced it with a 3tb HDD, but at some point the display has gone crazy.  I am not certain if it is hardware, i.e. graphics card or video but I'll describe the symptoms and add some pics to see if anyone has seen this before and knows what the problem may be.
    1.     90% of the screen was covered with white with just a portion of the desktop showing through.
(This happened when I tried to reinstall OS X on the old HDD and the new one, but didn't happen when using OS X install disc)
    2.     Files, folders, photos and some icons on the dock go black
    3.     Files and photos double up when in Finder.  When I'm viewing photos, it shows them but all the previous panes and the photos are jumbled behind the
            photos.
    4.     Anything I open in Preview is completely black, but ColourSync Utility opens everything fine.
    5.     Programs won't update.  They will download onto my iMac but won't update.  Some say, because I don't have OS X 10.6.8 others just won't open.
Including Google Chrome, opens with two tabs open but when I open a third tab the rainbow wheel just turns.  Skype won't open just gives a failure
            report.
    6.     10.6.8 Update Combo downloads but when I restart the screen is covered in white - as in 1. and I have to reinstall OS X 10.6.2 to get the screen to               clear but then all the above problems continue.
    7.     Sometimes videos don't display in Youtube, or the entire page other than the video player is covered in rainbow lines.
    8.     Some buttons are blacked out on selection pages, i.e. system preferences, or saving screens
    9.     Photos opened in FB go upside down and flicker all over the page as my mouse runs over them.
    10.   Photos won't upload into internet editing programs.
I can't find anyone who has had the same issue in all of the discussions I've looked at, but it sounds like I have a video problem, but I wondered if it might be a software problem with flash or something.  Or I have something malicious on my computer.
I also have an iphone 5 that faulted with the iTunes and USB icons and won't fix after trying one of those R-Sims, and I wondered if somewhere along the line it may have even had a virus/trojan/malware that has infected my external drive and then my internal drive.  A reason I have thought that is because I have used my daughter's MacPro laptop and plugged in my external drive and I noticed the windows in hers were starting to do the same thing.
And on top of all that, my fans didn't work for over a year and I had to place an external fan at the back of the computer or it would overheat and shut down, but after resetting the SMU it started working again, but it is very noisy. I have tried to download SMC Fan Control and although it downloads to the HDD, it won't open.
Sorry its such a long post, I do hope with all of this information someone can help me.
    Thanks so much.

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
*Soon after, I installed Quake Wars, L4D 1, 2, Mass Effect 2, Need For Speed: Undercover, Mozilla Firefox and *Sophos Enterprise AV*. Approximately a week after installation, I began to experience malfunctions varying greatly*
Macs get grumpy when running anti virus software. Disable or completely uninstall Sophos A/V and see if that makes a difference. A/V software on a Mac will slow the drive down more and more as time goes on.
Also, check the vendor sites for each 3rd party software you installed to make sure they are compatible with 10.6.x
The "hard reboots" are a result of the system freezing due to incompatible or outdated software.
