My songs on itunes will not upload on to my new 5th generation touch ipod

The songs I got off from youtube and converted on to itunes will not upload on to my new 5th generation i-pod? The message says that itunes can't find the songs. I have 387 songs from youtube and I don't want to have to convert them again.

The message means what it says. iTunes can't find the actual music files. You can confirm that by trying to play the songs in iTunes on the computer.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Select you device from the left sidebar of iTunes and navigate to the Photos tab at the top. Do you have the Sync Photos With checkbox checked and set to iPhoto?

Itunes Match: iTunes will match songs in library, will not upload songs not in library.It

Itunes match is going through the endless 3 step cycle for several days now. It will match songs that are in the Itunes Library, it will not upload any songs that are not "matched"
I have tried alot of solutions, turn off match, turn back on, deauthorize, authorize, reboot, exit itunes, delete songs, add songs, turn off auto renew, plug in ethernet, wifi, basically anything posted on here.
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated. Ive been an Apple customer for decades, and this is one of the times where I am greatly disappointed. Thanks.

Yes, itunes just sets a pointer to the Windows files in its ITL database.http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1660
If you have itunes preference to copy files to your itunes music folder, then it does copy them there and you might now have two copies of the same song. But itunes will probably be using the copy in the itunes music folder.

I purchased the Iphone5 and moved all my info, songs, apps from my Iphone 4 over to my new phone. Now most of my music will play but about 50 songs will show up on my iphone in my Music App but they will not play. I'm so frustrated. I can't figure out why they won't play. Can someone help me?

Purchased songs from itunes will not load on iPod despite software updates.

When I attach my ipod to my computer i get this error message.
"Some of the songs in the itunes music library were not copied to your ipod because the software on your iPod is too old. Go to apple.com/downloads to get the latest iPod software. "
I have gone to apple and downloaded the 11-17 iPod updated and i still get this error messege. The song that will not copy are only the ones purchased from iTunes.
(i am using an older 10g ipod, purchased in December 03. The model number is A1040)

I am also having the same problem with IPod Mini(6G). I purchased it September 2005.
The only thing different was that I needed to change my credit card information. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

My iPad 2 has never been "paired" with any PC. My one and only PC is corrupted and will not, after many many attempts, download iTunes. When I turn on my iPad it insists that I connect to my iTunes. How can I avoid this and just get the iPad to work like normal? Any help is much appreciated

You cannot do anything with the iPad until you do as instructed by the iPad and connect to iTunes on a computer.
You probably need to restore the iPad and the only way to do that is via iTunes on a computer.
Take it to an Apple Store and ask for help at a Genius bar or take it to a friend's house that is running iTunes on their computer and try to restore it.
You will lose all of your data and settings now because you never backed the iPad up in the past.

ITunes will not load--says I need new version of Quick Time

I've used iTunes for a year and downloaded the new software 7.01--it will not run, says I need to install new version of Quick time. I removed all versions of iTunes off my computer and reinstalled iTunes with same result--Need to install new version of Quick Time. I did this and Quick time said--Can't install because a more current version of Quick time is already installed. Catch 22? Is this a do loop of apple frustration or what? Any ideas would be appreciated.

i can take pictures off my phone but thats it, i have some nice programs for pictures and art work and cant get them back on my phone to send them to friends and family. I recently had Windows Vista put on my computer. I had Roxio put on it also. I tunes will not burn my playlist because of this. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing itunes . this does not correct the problem. I tuunes is telling me there is no disc burner found.

From what you describe it sounds like you are getting this error message when trying to burn a CD in iTunes even after uninstalling the iTunes application:
"Warning! The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
I recommend uninstalling not only iTunes but its associated softwares as well, as outlined in the following article:

iTunes installs a device filter which helps it work with your optical drive. If this device filter is missing, you will see the message mentioned above. To resolve this issue, follow the steps below to reinstall iTunes and put the device filter back in place:

Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

We will assume that your pal owns the copyright in these tracks he has sent you.
Possible reason they won't add to iTunes:
Corrupt tags. Check them with mp3val
The files have been imported, but they aren't where you are looking for them. See Missing artist or album not with others by same artist.
Empty/multiple tags. It could be that the files have been imported but are listed as unknown artist, unknown album due to empty tags or multiple tags where iTunes is reading from an unpopulated tag.

Songs are not downloading from itunes software to my ipod classic. I have tried manually syncing, and they are all check marked. Really frustrated as I have spent way too many hours trying to fix this. Please help. Is it possible my libraries are messed up?

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes has no affect on the media on the computer or the account it is linked to.
If the media was purchased under another iTunes account, then it is permanently tied to that account.
Using mulitple iDevices with one computer

Over half of my songs in iTunes will not play and they have the ! next to them!

I went to listen to my iTunes yesterday and over half the songs would not play. When you click on the song the window pops up with a message say the song could not be located and asking you would like to locate it. They were all playing fine earleir this week. I really don't want to go through and locate each and every song it would be close to 3,000. Is there a way to fix it all at once? Any help you can give me would be greatly apreceated!

i dont think there is nothing u can do i have the same problem and i think its just the way it downloaded. the good thing is that it should be able to play on ur ipod/iphone/ipad but it doesnt play on itunes

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Itunes will not show album cover in new features.

I updated itunes to itunes 7 the album artwork shos up when im listening to a sond but in the what apple calls coverflow feature. Even in the itunes music store it comes up that way. I reintalled and still the same problem. Any help would be great its a cool feature that i would love to use.

I noticed around the same time my Apple TV stopped showing in iTunes that Safari was running painfully slow, so I spent my time troubleshooting that instead of dealing with the Apple TV.
Anyway, my DNS server was 208.67.222.222 and several posters suggested i add 208.67.220.220 to my server list, which I did with nothing improving or changing. Well, I just decided to change the order the DNS servers were in, moving 220 above 222 and that instantly solved my Safari issue and internet browsing is blazing fast again. I decided to check if that changed anything with iTunes and it did. After re-entering my network settings into my Apple TV, iTunes now recognizes the Apple TV in the device control panel.
