My songs on iTunes will play but no other buttons work? Macbook Pro 17''

Hello all,
I couldn't find any previous posts having to do with my problem. Basically, I have a Macbook Pro 17'' and when I have iTunes open, the buttons on iTunes I can press but then nothing happens. It still lets me hit play, next, etc. but for example when I click "iTunes Store" it does nothing. It also says that my phone is still connected, though it is not, and when I click eject once again it does nothing. If anyone knows a solution, please let me know. I've restarted my computer and tried quitting iTunes, but when i click "quit" on iTunes it once again does not listen to me. It's as if this program has decided it doesn't want to listen to me! All other things on my computer work fine.

OPPS!! Figured it out still had second monitor cord in, and thus was it displaying on the monitor that wasn't on. Duh

I'm thinking you sync to your computer over Wi-Fi, if correct, switch to sync when connected to iTunes, turn off sync over Wi-Fi. Hope this helps, Good luck. Cheers.

TS1702 some of my songs on itunes will not play

I purchased the Iphone5 and moved all my info, songs, apps from my Iphone 4 over to my new phone. Now most of my music will play but about 50 songs will show up on my iphone in my Music App but they will not play. I'm so frustrated. I can't figure out why they won't play. Can someone help me?

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the songs do not play completely. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

As of today, neither sample songs on the music store nor songs already downloaded will play correctly. They are stuttery and slow. I have iTunes 10.5 and have not downloaded any upgrades for anything recently. They were working last night. Thoughts?

I found a solution that worked for me. Here is what I did and where I found it.
"Looks like I tracked down the problem, it worked for me so I hope this works for everyone else experiencing problems. Go to your Task Manager and locate the program APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push)..... if you see this executing terminate the program and then startup iTunes and it should come up fine. You will see afterwards that APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) starts back up but this is fine as long as iTunes has already started.
I tried playing both music and syncing up my iPhone with no problems. Note if you shutdown iTunes again you will have to terminate the process APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) again. Haven't had time to see what in the world Apple Push is but this appears to have corrected the problem so that you can at least use iTunes and sync any device that needs to be synced.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

Try checking you are not sending the audio to a remote source such as an airport express, appleTV or something similar.
Probably not the solution, but something I keep finding I've done.

Audio stops after the first song, iTunes keeps playing but no sound

So if I play anything - the entire library - podcast - or playlist. A few songs (between 1 to 3 songs) will play, but as soon as the song is done and it goes to another song the audio stops. I have Airport express through the house and it stops as well - so it's not the speakers.
If i hit pause then play.. the audio is on again. I can get it to play by selecting a new song as well.
It's pretty annoying.
If I let like 20 songs play all of a sudden on a random song that starts - the audio will come back for 1 song.
Anyone else have this type of issue?

This has really become a terminal problem. Can't play more than a song without having to touch the system to bump back to the beginning of the track, where it plays fine. This can't be limited to my system only--any ideas or thoughts guys?

Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
