My songs purchased from iTunes keep showing as processing or waiting.

I Am a new user of iPad mini. Have purchased songs in iTunes and they just show as processing or waiting. Have got cookies on safari set to not from third parties etc. totally not a tech person so need basic help please.

It sounds like you have some purchses that seem to have been interupted when they were downloading. I would start by using this info to resume the downloads:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.
If you can't complete the download on your iOS device, you can download it in iTunes on your Mac or PC and then sync it to your iOS device. You can also transfer purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer.

Authorization of old song purchases from iTunes-Win7 PC.

For old songs purchased from iTunes several years ago, I'm notified I've exceeded the max (5) number of computers. I cannot play these songs or have them synch to my new iPhone. I've deauthorized all computers and re-authorized my current Win7 PC. I've changed the notification settings in the control panel. (All of these remedies suggested by Apple on-line support). This issue is still not resolved. Can anyone offer a suggestion? Thank you.

Sounds like you might have multiple iTunes Store accounts. If you purchased that old album with a different Apple ID, it wouldn't show up in your purchase history if you are signed in to a different account. Same deal for authorizing content. If that song was purchased using a different Apple ID, you would need to use that account name and password to authorize it.
If you aren't sure which account you used to purchase an item, you can find out by following these steps:
1) Control-click (or right-click) the item in your iTunes Library.
2) Choose Get Info from the menu that appears.
3) Click the Summary tab.
You’ll see the account used to purchase the item. If you have changed your account name, the item's Summary will still show the original account name.

Why would you repurchase songs simply because they will not sync? Sorry, that's beyond illogical, it's simply not smart.

One correction, from the icloud I was not able to listed to the entire song. So when you purchased the song if it wasn't downloaded to your library, chances are you have lost your opportunity to listen to it.

Does Genius see only songs purchased from iTunes?

Does Genius see only songs purchased from iTunes? If I fill in some of the information, iTunes library such as track names, play counts, and ratings on songs that weren't purchases from the iTunes library will these be included in Genius. Will songs that just have the title and artist be included in Genius. Thanks for the help.

TS4124 Why would a song purchased from iTunes be ineligible for iCloud?

it is a protected AAC file at 128 kbps, purchased from iTunes.

I can't remove it and add it back, because it has been "removed" from iCloud, so the only copy is on my computer. The Get Info does show, on the "removed" or "ineligible" songs that I purchased them with a different Apple ID. Perhaps that is the problem? I spoke to an Apple tech some time ago about merging the two IDs, but apparently this is not possible.

I cannot play songs purchased from our itunes account but we can play all other songs. the songs show up on the ipod but when you click to play, the song never starts and it just goes back to the main menu.

This just happened to me on one song I purchased from iTunes (it plays fine on iTunes on my MacBook). I'm on iTunes 8.0 (haven't yet upgraded to newest version). Everything else works fine so should I do this for only one song - or is there another easier fix? I did copy the song to a cd so would it work if I just deleted the one song and imported it? Did you try carving a pentagram into the ground, filing it with gasoline, lighting it on fire, placing the ipod inside the pentagram, and then dancing around it naked while howling at the moon yet ?
I supose its possible that there were internet interuptions during the download of theese songs. Most computer soundcards have technology that eliminates skips by... skipiing the skips. If you have a problem like Goldwave (freeware), you can open the file and zoom in to look at the wav. If there are little holes, you can delete them and it will be seemless. This is something I have done in the past, but likely isn't your issue.

This is the overview of things to try but each one has its own set of instructions.
Authorize your purchases from an administrator account
Authorize using the correct account name
Turn Off User Account Controls (Windows Vista and Windows 7 Only)
Remove the SC Info folder

Ipads are not authorized at all. Authorization applies only to computers.
You should always make sure that everything on your ipad is also on your computer.

So I upgraded the family laptop with Vista (unimpressed so far, but thats a different issue) and then tried use iTunes and a gift card my wife gave me. With an OS upgrade, iTunes will view your system as new, requiring another authorization to play purchased content. You will have to re-authorize your computer.

I'm a bit confused by your question.
You say you have synced with your iMac, and that you have match turned on. If match is turned on you can't sync music any more.
Are the purchases new, or old ones?
Can you confirm that match is turned on on both the iMac and the iPhone.

Ringtones purchased from iTunes not showing up under Text Tones in iOS 5

I just upgraded to IOS 5 on my 3Gs and i am glad to see there are new Tone options but i can not find the ringtones i purchased earlier this year under text tones. I can find the ones i made but not the ones i purchased from itunes.

I had the same issue. Try this: go into iTunes, select your iPhone, go to Ringtones tab, check the Sync seclected Ringtones, deselect the ringtones that you pruchansed from iTunes Store. Now Apply/Sync the phone. When it's done, Go back to the Ringtones tab and select Sync all Ringtones. Apply/Sync the phone again. Now go to a contact and set a ringtone, you should see all the purchased ringtones. Good luck.
