My sonr prs t1 reader is not supported by digital editions

i recently downloaded digital editions, only tofind that it  does not support my sony prs t1 reader.

Hi!
Authorising the computer via ADE does not affect the reader, just the
computer.  Since you are already authorised, the problem is somewhere else.
I don't know everything you've done, but let me give you some of the steps
that seem to work for others.  I am not a MAC person, so I will do this in
general terms, and hope you have enough skill with the MAC to know what to
do.  You may have done all of these steps and if so, then you have a
different problem.
First, you must attach your PRS-505 to your MAC so that the MAC recognises
it as a disk drive.
Next, you must go to the SONY Store and create an account, or login to it.
When you have logged in, the SONY Store will look for an attached device -
your PRS-505.  It will register the device with the SONY Store, and also
update a small file on the reader with user information including the
registration.  This is key for Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).  When this is
done, the SONY Store will go to a "ready" state, which is when you would go
look for books to download, etc.  Instead, log out of the SONY Store, but
keep your PRS-505 plugged into the MAC.
Now, open ADE.  As ADE opens, it looks for attached devices just like the
SONY Store did, and when it finds one, it will check that file to see that
the reader is authorised.  ADE will then display the reader in the left hand
panel of Library view, and activate it for you to work with.  The PRS-505
will display a small circle with two arrows in it, which means that it is
communicating with ADE.  Now you can drag and drop books from ADE to your
PRS-505.
When you are done, shut down ADE first.  The PRS-505 will finish its
internal update and the small circle will disappear.  At that point, you can
eject the reader or disconnect it from your MAC.  This process is
important.  If you just pull the plug before the PRS-505 has finished its
update, it will corrupt some files.
I hope this helps!

My Sony PRS-T1 ereader does not appear in Digital Editions for me to be able to transfer ebooks to the ereader.
The Adobe site lists this ereader as a supported device. It's software is updated and my version of Digital Editions is 2.0
Any ideas on what I can do to make Digital Editions recognize this ereader?

  • E-mail reader does not support MIME: please upgrade

After receiving an HTML weekly online newsletter with no problems for months, I suddenly got a LISTSERV message asking me to confirm that my e-mail account actually does exist. The message said the error was this: Your e-mail reader does not support MIME. Please upgrade.
Since I have the latest version of Leopard (which I sincerely wish I had NEVER installed, but that's another topic), I don't know what I am supposed to upgrade to!
In addition to this, when other people forward me e-mail messages, the series of e-mails they forward now appears as a MIME attachment. I can get to it by double-clicking on the attachment, but it's a pain.
    Any suggestions?? Many thanks.

f I choose to see the emails I send to my hotmail account on the internet on my computer and not on the phone, I can see that everything should be okay, everything gets received exactly as it should. And if I select feature on my Nokia E72, which means that I can "hear" the email, I hear the e-mail has all the words and phrases in the email I sent to the e-mail account on the phone. Strange! : (

  • SSRS in SharePoint Mode: Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services [not true]

    Hello,
We are experiencing some issues with SharePoint 2013 which is driving me insane.
We have a deployment with two SQL Servers (HA groups) and four SharePoint servers: 2 Application servers, and 2 Web FrontEnd servers.
We installed SSRS for SharePoint in both application servers. The disc I have used is the MSDN image of SQL Enterprise 2012 w/ SP2.
    ISO name: en_sql_server_2012_enterprise_edition_with_service_pack_2_x64_dvd_4685849.iso
    MD5: 003e14c55fa648ad15f8be1e2439bd06
The installation completes without any problems. We can start the SSRS SharePoint Service in the first application server without any issues. However when we try to start the second one, we get the following error:
Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services. This edition only supports one instance of the sql reporting services service in the farm. The SQL Server Reporting Services cannot be started on
this server unless it is stopped on all other servers in the farm.
Now I am at a loss here. As I mentioned, we have used an image of SQL Server Enterprise. This is the same image we used on other environment, which worked as expected (we got no such error).
I have included the text related to the correlation error from the SP logs below.
Has anyone ever seen this issue before? Very, very strange!
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi Wynn,
I appreciate your attempt to address my concerns, but even your reply seems to ignore the fact that I have not only provided the name of the ISO, but the MD5 checksum of the ISO as well. Also this is the first time I am being asked to double-check the version
of SSRS. The first reply I got to my query simply disregarded the version mismatch.
As per your request, I have checked under the folder you have specified (C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\WebServices\LogFiles), but unfortunately there are no files under this folder in neither of my two application
    servers.
    We only have logfiles under C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
Is there a way I can turn those logs on?

  • SQL 2012 SP1 Enterprise (SSRS in SharePoint mode): Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services

    Hello,
SSRS in SharePoint mode is driving me insane.
We are recreating a SharePoint 2013 (SP1) farm in a test environment with the following set-up:
    2 SP Web FrontEnds
    2 SP Application Servers
    1 SQL Server
At both SP APP Servers, we installed SSRS (SQL 2012 Enterprise w/ SP1) in SP integrated mode.
We managed to start the SSRS SP service at the first SP APP Server. However when we try to start it on the second APP Server, we get the following error:
"Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services. This edition only supports one instance of the SQL Server Reporting Services Service in the farm.  The SQL Server Reporting Services service cannot
be started on this server unless it is stopped on all other servers in the farm. "
Now I can't stress this enough: This is a SQL Server 2012 SP1 Enterprise. This is the image we got from our MSDN subscription. There is no mistake here.
Could someone please advise why SP might think this version of SSRS is not the correct one?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hello,
I'm afraid that is not it.
After a long, frustrating and strenuous investigation and troubleshooting, we found the problem.
The problem is the current ISO for SQL Server 2012 Enterprise SP1 (x64) found at MSDN. Bear in mind that we downloaded this ISO from MSDN about a month ago.
As soon as we recreated the environment using the ISO for SQL Server 2012 Enterprise SP2 (x64) found at MSDN, everything worked as expected -- and that includes running more than one SSRS in SharePoint mode.
Also bear in mind that we tried updating the SQL SP1 install with SP2 and subsequent cumulative updates but that never fixed the problem.
There is something fundamentally wrong with that ISO with SP1 slipstreamed in it that no matter the subsequent updates installed, SSRS in SharePoint mode fails to work properly on a multi-server environment. We went as far as SP2 with CU3 and nothing seemed
to fix the problem. And yes, we also performed manual updates to the SSRS and PowerPivot SharePoint MSI add-ins.
I am shocked and distraught to find out that I lost hours of work due to a dodgy ISO image.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi,
Please try to download the SP1 Edition of the rsSharePoint.msi
file and install it. You have to install the SP1 edition of RS if you are using SP 2013.

  • The feature: "Report part gallery" is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services.

Struggling trying to get off the ground on same basic reporting functionality - I have a report that basically just dumps out the contents of a table for now.  When I attempt to publish the report, I get "The feature: "Report part gallery"
is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services." for both the single param I am trying to define for the report and the Tablix report part.  What
can I do with this version of Reporting Services?  Ultimately, I need to create a few very simple reports and then be able to display them in a UI developed in Visual Studio 2013 via a Web Form.  It seems that Visual Studio 2013 does not
offer a report viewer so that is another issue entirely (hoping the one for 2011 will work).  I am just trying to design and publish a few simple reports right now and can't even get past that right now.

    Hello,
What's the version and edition of SSRS did you used?
Report Part Gallery is only available in Standard Edition and above. If you using SSRS express edition, you can try to create a subreport which ccontain the Tablix report part content, and then add the subreport in other reports to meet the similar requirement.
You can refer to the following blog about compare Subreport with Report Part.
    http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2314/ssrs-report-parts-versus-sub-reports-faq/
As for display SSRS report in Visual Studio, you can using the ReportViewer controls in Visual Studio.

Initially PowerPivot wasn't working either but that got resolved after re-installing the rssharepoint and sppowerpivot msi files. Has anyone faced this issue?

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that the PowerView not work after installing the November CU Updates.
I check the November CU updates, it have no affects on the PowerView or PowerPivot.
The reason for this issue may occur when the PowerPivot Service Application is not running after installing the CU updates.
Here is a detailed article for your reference:

  • How do I stop Adobe Reader X from reading documents meant for Adobe Digital Editions?

I  was trying to download via  Sample e-Book Library, just to check if my Adobe Digital Editions was working properly.
Turns out, PDFs / Urls are interrrupted by Adobe Reader X.
Even though  Adobe Reader X is unable to read it, or as it  keeps telling me: "Adobe reader could not open URLLINK.acsm because it is either not a supported file type, or because the file has been damaged"
Any suggestions to how I could abort Adobe Reader X from automatically read documents meant for Adobe Digital Editions?

    It's Windows 8.
Turns out the problem was acsm.files preconfigured to be opened in Adobe Reader. The solution was to right click on the file(s) in Downloads, and then reconfigure  it through the option "open as/in ..."
and somehow give the correct adress, through Computer:/ C and so on,  to the  Adobe Digital Editions.

  • I can not get adobe digital editions 2.0 to open on my pc.now i cant drop new books on ebook

i can not get adobe digital editions 2.0 to open on my pc.now i cant drop new books on ebook

Are these DRM books, or DRM-free.  If DRM-free, use the free and far superior Calibre ( http://calibre-ebook.com/)
There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1).  Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

  • Scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of reporting services

Can the "scale-out deployment" option be turned off so that I can migrate SSRS databases from Enterprise edition to Standard?  After I attached databases from a SSRS 2005 Enterprise to SSRS 2012 Standard I am getting an error about
scale-out deployment not supported.  Any way around this so I can migrate the databases, bringing the reports and report subscriptions to the new SSRS instance?
    Lee Markum

    Hi Lee,
    From the
document, we can know that Scale out deployment is a feature that only supported in Enterprise and Business Intelligence editions in SQL Server 2012.
In order to fix this issue, we can refer to the similar thread post by Ben:

    Hope this helps.

  • Does Windows 8.1 support Adobe Digital Editions 2

I have an Archos 9.0 eReader. Adobe Digital Editions has always worked on Windows 8 but since upgrading to Windows 8.1, I am unable to download from Windows 8.1 to the eReader. Should I delete the Adobe Digital Editions file and download a newer version.
Any help would be much appreciated.

ADE2.0.1 sort of works for me, going through the Win 8 to 8.1 upgrade without deterioration.
I don't actually use it to transfer to my eReader (Sony PRS-350),
as bugs in ADE2.0/2.0.1 mean that it will not work with that eReader and Overdrive library books.
That isn't an OS version isssue, but an ADE bug.
General solution to many curious problems ...

Some people have found ADE trying to upgrade automatically.
It appears (not 100% sure) that if you install ADE2.0 as a new install (not as an upgrade) that your 1.7.2 will continue to run.
Probably best to say no if 2.0.x installation asks if you want to migrate your library.
