My sons ipod touch says ipod disabled connect to itunes and then doesnt work, what do i do?

how do i unlock my sons "disabled ipod"?

You need to connect it to iTunes, and then perform a Restore on it.
If it tells you that you need a password to Restore it, you may need to put it into Recovery Mode.
