ok i just bought a new soundblaster Li've! 24-bit and i got the sound working but my microphone doesnt work... what the hak? im 50% positi've that its in the right jack, and i also disabled onboard sound on my BIOS and in my creative surround mixer application, under the REC section i changed to microphone and i made sure the "Do not monitor" has not been enabled. can you pleaseeee help me? thnx.., o yea more question, the soundblaster Li've! 24-bit uses creative labs EAX regular? not creative labs EAX 2 or 3. thx please answer

Welcome to the forums.
If you have a video that is muxed it is possible in converting it that one or the other tracks (audio or video) will get left behind. You will need to demux it first and then convert it to MPEG4 if this is the case:

Now, this assumes the video was MPEG1 or MPEG2 in the first place. If it started life as an MPEG4 it ought to convert properly -- check it out in iTunes (Ctrl-I) and see what the resolution and maxbit rate are to make sure they don't exceed the iPhone specs. If within the specs you can always try resetting your phone (it never hurts and sometimes helps).

check in rc.conf and see if your sound module isn't listed. Odd that it doesn't find your sound card on boot.
U may also need to run alsactl store as root. Permission problem, possibly?
sounds like alsaconfig is finding and loading the module each time u reboot, but its not being loaded because I think u need to run alsactl store as root, since it needs to be loaded by the kernel. That would require root privileges I would think. That's my best guess.

yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
ls /Volumes

It sure sounds to me like something on the iPod is broken. If it's under warranty then I would send it back for repair. If not, check out some of the web repair services, such as iPodResQ etc.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). We checked it with an iPhone 5 in house multiple times and could not reproduce this Problem. Must be something specific to your device. Maybe your speakerphone volume is turned down completely?

Call your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and explain them your issue, it could range from having your router configured incorrectly to having a wiring issue. Personally, I have Comcast and they are great, no issues, and awesome customer service.

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.

I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Exactly which password are you inputting? iCloud looks for your AppleID password.

Wake on Lan (works, but not always)

Iam trying to get Wak on Lan working on my iMac. It works, but not always. When I put my mac to sleep en send the magic package, my mac turns back on. But when my mac turns to sleep and I wait a few hours (the next morning), my Mac doesn't respond to the same magic packag. When I wake up the Mac by hand, and put it back to sleep again, the magic package works again en turns the mac on.
It almost looks like the mac goes into a deeper sleep mode after a few hours. Does anyone knows what could ben the reazon.

mmm, It seems like my mac doesn't always turns to sleep mode. Most of the time it only turns off the screen (solid light). My energy settings are 10 minutes for the screen and 15 minutes for the mac. But after turning of the screen it never turns to sleepmode. Ecxept when I put it to sleep manualy.
Strange thing is: when the screen is turned of, shouldn't I be able to get tot my files... (I can't actualy).
