Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

Vista Ultimate, Firefox 4.01 just installed. The back and forward buttons do not work with this new installation. Help please.

O?S is Vista Ultimate 32 bit fully updated. I have just installed Firefox 4.01. I have lost use of back and forward buttons - they are greyed out. Is there a solution please?

It is possible to have earlier data in a tab if the latest tab had target="_top" that means the back key will not work, but if your right-click on the back/forward you see a context menu. As far as I know the only difference between 3.6 and 4.0 ws that the drop-down arrow was dropped but like before you can still right-click.
There are some extensions that mess with the Back/Forward buttons.
There is a difference between gray and '''black''' on the buttons, '''black''' means there is history in that direction.

Really hope someone can help with this as I can't find the solution to save my life.
In my css file I have:

In my HTML file I have:

The css and HTML are woring fine together apart from the 'vertical-align:middle'??
I have no idea why this is not working and I have looked all over the internet, can anyone out there help with this, PLEASE!!

Mail not working.. just "thinking"...Help PLEASE!

My email is not working, I have restarted my computer, tried opening my email from the launchpad instead of the desktop, and I have tried so many different things that seem to be "common sense". Please help! When I open Mail, it looks very normal, pulls all of my folders up (although I cant open them), and my mailboxes etc. But then the spinning wheel never goes away AND it never gives me an error sign or anything. Then when I close out of it and try to quit, it wont. I have to force shut it down. It worked yesterday just fine! I use this for work, and so its super important I find out a way to get my emails again and use this like I always do... Thank you!!!!!!

Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
Now, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network > Show: Network Port Configurations, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.
Finally, try launching Mail under the following conditions (you may need to force quit it first if it’s running):
1. Holding the Shift key down until the main window appears.
2. With no Internet connection.
Post back with your observations.

Canon MG5250 Scanner not working with OSX 10.7.2 HELP PLEASE

I have tried to get my canon mg5252 multifunction to scan, im using OSX Lion 10.7.2, I have tried downloading the canon drivers (mp 4.0.3 and ica driver 1.9.0) but still cant get it to work !

Uninstall the device using Canon's instructions. Then assuming you are using a USB connection to connect it to your computer restart the computer in Safe Mode to clear some caches. Then restart the computer normally. Then connect the printer to the computer via USB and turn on the printer. The printer should then be seen in the Print & Scan preferences. If not run Software Update. To scan use Image Capture (it's preloaded on your computer) and scan using the Image Capture tool.
If you still have trouble then follow the instructions in Printing Overview OS X Lion.

Videos not working on iPhone or iPad. Help please?

I've been having an issue lately where videos will not load on my iPhone or iPad. It doesn't matter whether it's through YouTube, Facebook, or even safari, videos won't seem to load. You can press the play "arrow" button but nothing happens. On YouTube the video will constantly load and then say "playback error, tap to retry". Is anyone having video related issues?

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
For now you can try one of these and see if it helps.

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?

There is no built-in microphone for Vista Plus either. The current selling webcam model that has built-in microphone is Live! Cam Optia AF and Live! Cam Voice. You can also use this comparison chart to see which webcam has built-in microphone.

No sound and audio on Satellite A10-S177

My laptop is a Satellite A10-S177 XP, I happened to delete some programmes from my laptop in order to create space but it so happened that it affected my audio and sound and currently they the sound and audio bit in the control panel say no sound/audio driver. Tried to down load some software from the net but it did not work for it required printer access which I dont have.
I also dont have my XP installation CD, so am all lost and could do with any help from computer geniuses out there.

First of all would you tell me where did you downloaded some software where you thought it would bring back your sound?
Since your machine is from america you would have to go to the american driver download site:

Please visit the link Ive posted and download the sound driver. Install it and check if the sound works.
