My sprint unlocked iPhone 5 is not working in Brazil??

HI there,
i have an used sprint unlocked iPhone 5 that was passed to me from my sister and the sprint carrier unlocked for international but when I put my SIM card from my Brazilian carrier ( Claro) is keeping saying invalid SIM card and doesnt work. So I was wondering what can I do in braxil to fix this problem?? I have been told to use iTunes.. i don't have anything in the phone that it need to be back up in iTunes.. The phone has been reset and keep saying the the SIM card is invalid?? Please help me clarify this issue.. I can provided you my imei or let me know what am I doing wrong..

If you have been told to restore the phone with iTunes, then why don't you do this? It is irrelevant whether you have data that needs to be backed up or not.
You need to restore the phone as new with iTunes in order to complete the unlock. You should get a message after the restore informing you that the phone has been unlocked. If the SIM does not work after that, then Sprint has NOT unlocked the phone, and you would have to go back to them. Apple does not unlock phones; only the carriers do.

    I bought a brand new unlocked iphone 5 on ebay off of a seller (a legit seller). I got my phone today, and started to set my phone up and then I noticed the camera would not work. When I open the camera app, it is just a blank screen. SOMETIMES, the frontal view camera will work, and when I would switch it back to the regular view, it would just freeze and be blurry. and sometimes, the frontal view doesn't even work. I talked to a friend who is very good with phones and she suggest that there was probably a problem with unlocking the phone. She thinks the phone was not unlocked properly and I was wondering if that seems like its the case? I was wondering what I could even do now, because I can't just get a replacement phone from apple because it will not be unlocked. I am wondering what are my options?? I am already trying and getting a refund from the ebay seller, but I have no way of buying the iphone 5 online or at any T mobile store since it has been "discontinued". I was wondering what I can do???

    All you can do is return the phone to the seller. It is defective. If you want an iPhone 5, you will have to continue to look for one via a 3rd party seller. Be advised, however, that you must make sure the phone has been complete wiped, and Find My iPhone has been turned off, or you will not be able to use the phone.

    I bought an iphone 5 from Apple store in San Jose California, and used it with an at&t connection for 3 months. I have moved to India last week and am trying to use it with an Idea cellular connection. It gives me following error:
    The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.
    The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.
    Can someone tell me what do i have to do here. The phone is not locked to any carrier!!!

    Does the purchase receipt lists it as "Unlocked iPhone 5"
    If yes, pop in AT&T, Airtel or Aircel sim inside and connect in iTunes to activate. Once activated you can use non-supported carrier's sim (idea or any other)
    If no: Get it unlocked from the carrier.

    I purchased 2 iPhone 6 devices at launch (both "T-Mobile/Unlocked" from Apple Store),
    One was for my fiance' who already had an iPhone 5 Verizon device so I inserted her Verizon SIM and ALL Verizon features work great.
    The 2nd phone, I activated on Cricket (AT&T) for approx 3 months, I recently moved over to Verizon as my company pays the bill. They provided me a SIM, and only my Verizon Voice and LTE data work. Verizon cannot add Visual Voicemail or HotSpot feature. They cannot activate the LTE Voice feature either. I've been the Verizon store 4 times with no success. They said it was a T-Mobile phone /device  and it cannot be added to the Verizon database (yet Verizon and Data works??!). I just reset/deleted and completely downloaded > restored iOS via iTunes, still no success.
    Any suggestions?

    Why did you buy TMobile phones if you have service with Verizon? The Verizon version of the phone is unlocked if you want to use the phone later on other GSM networks. If you're still within the return period, I'd advise you to do that. Generally speaking, if you are using a CDMA/LTE carrier such as Sprint or Verizon, you will be far, far better off buying a phone intended for that network. Unlocked ins not really a CDMA concept. The only part of the phone that is unlocked is the GSM portion.
    Sometimes, if you have an already active Verizon SIM, as your girlfriend does, you can get service to work. However, she may have trouble with calling once off a 4G network. Should she ever need to replace the SIM, she may also have problems getting the phone to work. Verizon isn't going to be willing to do much as the IMEI for that phone will not be in their database.
    You're not going to be able to get your phone to work unless you have a SIM that is already activated on your number using a Verizon phone. Is your girlfriend's iPhone 5 still around? If so, you can try having Verizon activate that on your number. Then, take the SIM and put it in your TMobile iPhone.

    I bought my iPhone 5s in Canada that was locked with Bell. I am not a customer with Bell, so I could not get it unlocked through them. So I got it unlocked at the Flea Market in Canada from a guy that who said he worked with Bell; he took my IMEI # and said that using a code he bought from Bell, he would get it unlocked within a week.
    I moved to Israel and weeks went by and my phone was still locked, but I was at least able to access my home screen and apps. My carrier here is with 'Orange'. I was told I needed to reset my phone through iTunes in order to the unlock to work. I did that, and now I can't access anything on my phone! Every time I try to, I get a message that says "SIM not valid" and it doesn't let me go further. I'm going on vacation soon so I'm wondering how I could at least get access to my apps for now.
    I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue or if it means my phone is not actually unlocked? Did the guy scam me? How can I get it unlocked (if it's not unlocked)? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!

    It doesn't matter what he said to you - if Bell didn't do the unlock for you (and you have no paperwork from them indicating it was done), then your phone is still locked to them. He hacked it to unlock it, if it ever was unlocked.
    If it wasn't still locked, you would have been able to restore the phone using any SIM card and wouldn't be stuck on the invalid SIM screen.

    did ae install without problem? check the install logs to be sure (Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC)
    if it did, what do you see when clicking the executable?

    Verizon has confirmed (here and here) they WILL unlock the SIM on the iPhone 4S, allowing for use of local SIM cards while traveling abroad (no word yet on whether this will allow for use on AT&T and T-Mobile.) This is different than the jailbreak unlocking method; SIM unlocking through Verizon is permanent and will not affect your warranty in any way.
    1. Meet the following requirements:
    * Must be a Verizon Wireless customer.
    * The iPhone 4S being unlocked must be active on a Verizon Wireless line of service.
    * The line of service must be active at least 60 days.
    * The line of service must be in good standing for the past 60 days.
    * Only one SIM Unlock per line every 10 months.
    If you don't meet one or more of the above requirements, call anyway. You may still get lucky.
    2. Insert a foreign SIM into the SIM card slot on the side of your phone (only required to confirm that the unlock is successful.)
    3. Call 1-800-711-8300 (Verizon Global Support) and ask the representative for a SIM unlock. Occassionally a representative may not know exactly what you are referring to; make sure you are not transferred to a different department. You are in the right place. Explain that they should have a walkthrough on how to do this, and that it allows for the use of local, non-Verizon SIM cards while traveling abroad.
    4. Get confirmation from the rep that the unlock has been applied to your account, then check your phone to make sure it recognizes your SIM and can connect (if successful it will roam on AT&T, assuming you are calling from the USA.) You will NOT see an unlock confirmation in iTunes as that is for a factory-applied unlock only.
    5. Enjoy your new unlocked iPhone 4S!

    Do you have an AT&T carrier file number showing? The only time you can use Facetime on AT&T cellular is if you are using one of their Shared Data plans. While they have not locked your phone, it appears their carrier file is in control of your device when you have the AT&T SIM card in there.

    yes did you buy it of somebody or a well known company such as apple or carphone warehouse?
    and i mean the phone would have been activated in the first place with the sim card you get given when you first get the phone.
    trying to activate the phone with another sim card that you did not get when you brought the phone may result in you not being able to activate it
