My Spry Vertical Menu does not "drop-down"

I've created my Srpy Vertical Menu and does not drop down to the second level, am I missing something?, I must have moved something in the style or something because it does work in a new page but not in the one I'm creating, how can I restart?...

  • Apple menu does not drop down

    When I click on the Apple icon the menu does not appear and drop down. I have restarted the computer and I don't know how to fix this or what it means.

    Run troubleshooting. You can see the troubleshooting steps here, here and here.
    Usually a Safe boot and/or booting into Single User mode to run fsck fixes the glitches on my PB G4.

  • Spry Vertical Menu does not display properly when uploaded to server.

    I am using Dreamweaver CS5 Version 11.0 Build 4909 on Windows XP.  The website I am working on is displaying the ordered list incorrectly.  The drop down submenus are not lined up underneath each other.
    So I did a basic one and uploaded it to the server and had the same outcome.  Locally it looks fine but uploaded to the hosting server not fine.  Below is the code from the document called deleteme.html.  I am new to all this so I apologize if this seems basic.  Thanks for your help in advanced.

    Hello all,
    Thanks to everyone who replied to my post.  I have it working now but I have other issues that I will post separately.
    Here was my thought process and you can tell me if I am right or wrong.  I was working with multiple pages that I was using Spry.  I had only one folder set that all the Spry Assets were being saved into.  My thinking was that they were getting over written.  So I deleted the folder and re-built the page.  When I deleted Spry Assets folder it showed me I had 6 pages linked to the Spry Assets folder.  I also deleted my Spry Assets folder on my hosting server....thought I would really start from scratch.  When I went to upload the files I created a SpryAssets folder and what I realized I had originally put a space  between the y and a of the folder name.  So I am not sure if the elements in the Spry Assets folder were getting over written or it was because I had a space in the folder name.  Thanks again, Mike

  • My CS3 spry vertical menu does not maintain properties on web.

    My first web site is available at www.edgarcemetery.com. I used Dreamweaver, and it is hosted through Yahoo Small Business, I am having trouble getting the properties of the Spry Menu Bar to display appropriately in Internet Explorer 7, on Windows XP desktop. However, it looks fine on laptop, which contains all web site original files and worksheets, as well as IE7 and XP. On laptop it looks pretty; on desktop, only black letters. Loses menu format, font, text colors, hover overs, etc. Please take a look and tell me what I need to change. I've tried and tried. Would really appreciate it. Thanks.

  • Premiere elements 11 - project assets menu does not pull down - I can't see what media I have added.

    HI, When I press the arrow for projects assets, I cannot see any assets.  Actually, I cannot seem to add any via the add Media option in the expert view, but, if I use the quick view I can drag and drop.  Please help. While I hope it is something simple, I am willing to reinstall or upgrade.  Please advise.  Thanks!!!!

    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running on?
    Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
    I would not move to Premiere Elements 12 or 13 just yet.
    How long have you been working with the program without the problem from the day of purchase until now?
    Are you saying that you cannot use Add Media (click on triangle and list does not drop down) as well as use
    Project Assets (will not open)? If both is the case, I would encourage you to do
    a. Deactivate the program in an opened project's Help Menu/Update - then close out of there.
    b. Uninstall the program using the usual Control Panel way
    c. Do a free ccleaner run through (regular and registry cleaner parts)
    CCleaner - Download
    d. Reinstall the program with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
    Please let us know the results. Then we can decide what next.
    Thank you.

  • Help with Dreamweaver CS5 spry menus. Menu is not dropping down in IE7.

    Hello.
    We recently upgraded from GoLive CS3 to Dreamweaver CS5. Wow! This has been a big change for us. We are having trouble with a website that we are building, specifically the Spry Menu drop downs not appearing correctly in IE7 and older. While the dropdown menu appears in other browsers, it is not dropping down at all in IE7 and earlier versions. After researching this topic on many websites, including this forum, we are still unable to resolve our particular issue. We have tried many of the suggestions that are common to our problem, but have not found a solution as yet. Could someone please check out this page for us, and possibly give us some advise. We are working on Mac OSX. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may offer.
    http://www.advertools.net/pgtdemo/index.html

    When I added the following to the document
    <style>
    #main_image {position:static;}
    </style>
    the menu items appeared albeit in the wrong position.
    The reason for the hidden menu items is because #main_image had a position of relative, effectively creating a flow of its own rather than following the natural flow of the document.
    Now for the postion of the submenu. If I add the following style rules to the document the submenu items are in the correct position
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li {text-align: left;}
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a {text-align: center;}
    In the first line I have reset the rule that you had changed to center align and in the second line (which is not in the original CSS) I have aligned the text in the anchor tag to align center.
    The reason is that IE<8 behaves differently to other browsers when it comes to list items causing the nested list items (submenu) to align themselves to the center of the text of the parent list item.
    I hope the above helps.

  • Spry Menu Bars not dropping down in Firefox/IE

    I recently published a website and found that my menu bars dont drop down in Firefox or IE, except the first cell on the first menu bar.
    Here is the address: http://www.tvnewsjunkie.com/
    Thanks,
    Grant

    There are too much sloppy coding to go through them all.
    To help you on your way
    line 4980: missing closing DIV tag
    line 3693: missing closing LI tag
    line 142: empty LI element.
    If you delete line 142, the first three menus will work, but then there is something that is stopping the rest to work.

  • My child page does not drop down when i preview

    I am new to muse and i created my website, but the child pages do not drop down when i preview. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi
    I believe you are referring to sub menu items which links to child pages.
    Select menu in design mode and in options please select "All Pages" in menu type. This should resolve the issue.
    Please let me know if you have additional questions.

  • Drop down menu does not drop

    I have been struggling with a spry horizontal menu. I am new
    to Dreamweaver, coming from GoLive. Web work is a small part of
    what i do.
    I created a set of drop down menus, no problem. I am not sure
    what happened, but at some point, they stopped dropping down,
    either in previewing the site in DW or in Safari.
    I assume that I did something to a style sheet. I deleted and
    recreated. Some of my customization of the CSS stayed. as did the
    no dropping.
    I cannot easily see what I might have modified and I do not
    seem to be able to get back to a zero point.
    Tech support does not seem to exist.
    Any advice, appreciated.

    Maybe you should have followed the link that was given :-) It
    was to a free
    tutorial... not to a $90 extension. While I have your
    attention, one of the
    reasons we charge $90 for some commercial extensions is that
    they contain a
    lot more features than what Macromedia behaviors or the new
    Adobe widgets
    have... and also because we provide unlimited free email,
    newsgroup, and
    telephone support. But let me emphasize again - the link
    provided to our
    site was to a FREE tutorial showing how to make CSS dropdown
    menus.
    Thanks for your time and editorial :-)

  • Spry Vertical Menu Bar not working in IE8

    I've upgraded to 1.6.1, but it still doesn't work in IE8 unless in compatibility mode.  http://jimgreenrealty.com/Test.html
    Works fine in other browsers and other Spry elements appear to work normally in IE8.  Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Steve B.

    If you deselect compatibility mode on IE8 the menu bar disappears (on
    all our computers anyway).  Works fine in all other versions of IE and
    all other browsers.  Updated to Spry 1.6.1 and still no avail.
    Here it is w/o the emulating statement: http://jimgreenrealty.com/Test.html
    The other pages on the site still have it.
    Thanks for looking at it.

  • Spry dropdown menu not dropping down and reversing order cs4

    Hi, thank you for reading my post.
    I am having problems with my spry menu bar not dropping down when
    I upload it to my site, I get bulleted lists. When I preview it, it works fine. Also, the menu is in reverse order (??) I've tried retyping it in the opposite order to see if that fixes it, but somehow it goes back to backwards. It should start with home at the left. I am trying to post my code, but it will not let me paste. How do I paste code? Sorry if thats a silly question.
    Thank you

    Hi, thank you for your replies. I set everything to left, which caused it to display correctly in dreamweaver. Thank you! I did enjoy the "wiggle" that I get from the menu items on hover, they move from right to left, will that cause problems if I change one back to right? I still am having trouble getting the menu bar to show on the website, Im still getting bullets.
    How do I put the css files? They might be on the site, but not in the right place, where should they be? I also made another site from the same template, and saved it to a folder in my site so it can be previewed. Will that cause problems? Both spry's are not working..... argh! • SPRY menu not dropping down on certain pages

    I'm having a lot of problems now that I've uploaded this webpage. I created this webpage in Dreamweaver and used the SPRY menu template and everything worked perfectly in Dreamweaver but now that I have uploaded it I can not use the drop downs on like 7 pages. When you are on the shop page, the dinning page, Living, Directions, Design, Events, and the contact page the SPRY menu will not drop down. Could someone look at my site and perhaps my code and tell me what I am doing wrong on those pages?
    http://discoverclearfield.com/shop.html
    http://discoverclearfield.com/dining.html

    Website was designed with Dreamweaver CS5 on a Mac. The navigation drop down menu does not appear correctly with Internet Explorer. When you mouse over a navigation option that has a drop-down menu, the drop-down portion appears on top of the first level. Hope someone can help me out.Thanks!

    Hi,
    and you should then iron out this minor inaccuracy, which I found in your source code, for example here:
    <div align="center"><a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="hays.html">HAYS</a>
            <ul>
              <li><a href="hayswalkingtour.html">Walking Tour</a> </li>
              <li><a href="forthays.html">Fort Hays</a></li>
            </ul>
    All your "first" entries have to show a '#", like this:
          <div align="center"><a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="#">HAYS</a>
            <ul>
              <li><a href="hayswalkingtour.html">Walking Tour</a> </li>
              <li><a href="forthays.html">Fort Hays</a></li>
            </ul>
          </div>
    after that you can link to the individual subgroups. See here e.g. (screenshots from my German DW):

    For future reference... if you have the trial version installed and plan to buy it after trying it out, there is no need to uninstall it.  It can be activted to full use with the serial number from your purchase.
    You should still be able to download and install the trial version and use your serial number to activate it.  For the direct download link to the trial below, be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.
