My SSD Won't Restore, Keep Getting Error

I previously posted on this forum regarding my purchase of a Crucial 2.5" M4 SSD for my 2010 Macbook Pro to replace the standard HDD, namely on how to transfer the O.S. and my other files to the new drive. My new problem is that I keep getting errors when trying to transfer the data. When I use my regular Mac drive, or even the larger "500.11 GB ST9500325ASG Media", I get an error indicating that I either have a "broken pipe" (whatever the heck that means) or "could not validate source - 254". My question, then, is how to resolve this issue. I've not only tried using the regular Disk Utility, but also tried Carbon Copy Cloner and and Super Duper!, though none have worked.
I don't know if this is one of the issues, but when hooking up my SSD for the transfer, the message "the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" came up. In the Disk Utility it doesn't show up as an SSD, but only as "256.06 GB Apricorn SATAWire Media".
Any help that can be provided would be very well received.
P.S: Just saw that, under 'Partition map scheme', it is listed as unformatted. Is that the problem? Do I need to partition it? I don't want to do anything before receiving an answer; this SSD cost a bundle, I really don't want to fry it by accident.

Whoa - let's take this one step at a time.
Is the SSD installed in your hard drive bay? And it reads as "256.06 GB Apricorn SATAWire Media" in Disk Utility? I have a 512GB Crucial m4 SSD and mine reads:
Yours, too, should show as M4-CT, etc. media. That may be at least one problem.
I'm assuming that you're trying to clone the SSD to an external drive for backup purposes? And you've two that you can use? I use Carbon Copy Cloner for the three drives that I use as clones and have never had a problem.
If you can, try to verify the SSD using Disk Utility - and repair if necessary. Then call back if I've gotten things confused here...

I just got back from the Apple store in Ginza, Tokyo and they gave me a new 3gs. Since it already had the new software on it, I just had to restore from my last backup. Things have gone along pretty well but resetting a lot of things has been tiresome. The people at the Apple phone service center were great and set up the appointment for me here in Tokyo. The Genius bar guy just swapped my SIM card and I was good to go. This has been an ordeal but the end result is: my (new) phone is working! Thanks for everyone's suggestions but the failure to load the firmware update couldn't be fixed on my iPhone.

Clear the contents of ...iTunes\iTunes Media\Download and try one more time.
If the problem recurs use the "report a problem" links in your account history and explain what has happened so far. There may be a problem with the source rather than your download of it.

BT Vision setup won't work, keep getting Error Mes...

I have just recieved my new BT Vision box, I already had a BT phone and broadband (with BT HomeHub), with no problems in service with them, and thought the offer from BT Vision was great, but now have noticed several people on this forum having problems with their service, some of their problems are similar to mine; my BT Vision setup won't work, it will not start let alone complete the setup process, I keep getting Error Message CO3.
It tells me to check my broadband is working; it is. It tells me to check any Powerline adapters are correctly setup, but I'm not using them, because my broadband hub is close to my TV. It tells me to check my cables are connected; they all are, and it tells me to restart my Hub and Vision+ box which I've done several times and achieved no satisfactory result.
I placed my order on Tue 22 Feb 2011, recieved my equipment on Thu 24 Feb 2011, and was told it would be activated the same day, I only decided to plug it all in and set it up earlier today; Fri 25 Feb 2011. I tried sorting out the problem over the phone earlier, speaking to someone in CustomerCare, and they said it would be activated and working by midnight of 25/02/2011- (before the morning of 26/06/2011), but it isn't.
I will give my BT phone number only to a BT employee who can actually help me, and get things done.
The account and order is in my wife's name, but I am the more technically minded, and less easily stressed individual, so would appreciate any advice or assistance you could give.
P.S. I occasionally, but rarely, have seen other Error Messages such as Error Message CO1.

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum. I am sorry that you are not yet able to use your BT Vision service.
The C03 error message can indicate that the order on our system has not yet completed. This would explain why your service is not working. Are you still getting this message when trying to use Vision? If so then I can help.

Iphone stuck in recovery mode wont restore keep getting errors

iphone 3gs is stuck in recovery it will not turn on unless plugged in and in restore mode saying to connect to itunes. when i restore it i get errors 3194, 1604 and 1611, i dont know what did this and im not sure what firmware the iphone is. itunes will recognise it in recovery mode but the computer will not. in dfu mode it will not restore either.

Well, as a start, Recboot hosed the network database on your computer, which could be the problem. Especially if you had used it at some time in the past. Look in /etc/hosts, and if you see any lines containing "gs.apple.com" delete those lines.
From your profile you are also using a version of OS X that is not compatible with iTunes 10, which is required to update iPhones. You need OS X Leopard 10.5.8 as a minimum.
See: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error9 for other tips. You could have a bad or dirty connector on the iPhone also. Try cleaning it with a soft, dry toothbrush.

Last night I plugged my iPhone 4 into the APPLE wall charger and it would not recognize it to charge it, I unplugged it and plugged my iPad into the same charger and it worked so it was clearly my phone. I called my service provider because I was going out of town today and it was already late at night. I was going to re-activate my old iPhone 3 until I could take it in and get it looked at....that was a nightmare....it's always a sad day when a consumer knows more about a product then the person selling them......she told me to take my sim card out of my iPhone 4 and just put it into my iPhone 3 and it would work, there was no need to call in....seriously??? They are TWO DIFFERENT cards that don't work in one another....if it was that simple would I have really called in the first place.....UGH! ANYWAYS..................so after she hooked up my old iPhone 3 to my husbands account and disconnected his iPhone 4S.....she is real swift.....I put my sim card in my husband's phone to get through the day! WIth my iPhone 4 only have 9% battery left I turned it off and left it over night. Then this morning while it was turned off I plugged it back into the same charger and the apple sign appeared.....so that would tell me that it's not the charging port that is the problem....except it still won't recognize the charger? I have done a reset...hold the home and power button at the same time with no luck, called apple and followed their instructions of holding the home button and plugging it into the USB port that is hooked to the computer to do a restore, it makes it through like it's going to restore and then I get the following message: The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1604)
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

It sounds like your iPhone 4S is not charging when plugged into your computer. I found an article with some steps that might help with this. My Ipad 2 won't restore and I keep getting error 14

So today I decided to finally update my Ipad 2, it was 4.1.3 I believe and the newest update was 7.0.4 . After backing it up and waiting for the long update, suddenly it asked me to restore it. So when I try to restore it, my Ipad turns on and it will show the apple logo with the loading bar, right after that a message pops up in my computer saying that it cannot restore and there's error 14. Check for hardware issues

Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
