My status bar won't pull down and I can't use the search/menu buttons at the top of sony/stock apps

Hi. I recently bought a Sony XPERIA SP and have been using it for a week. Yesterday I turned on my phone to download an app and the search/menu buttons at the top of the screen in the play store wouldn't work. I tried using the buttons that appear at the top in Walkman, Album, and Messaging, and they didn't work either. I then received a text and swiped down on my notification bar a few times but that wouldn't work either. Weirdly, the notification bar will only pull down in landscape mode. Help please?

It's quite easy for me to answer this question, your phone is water damaged. I used to have Sony Xperia Z and which was water damaged too, I couldn't pull down the notification/illumination bar. The water entered through your speaker at the top which happened to me. It's quite notable that you'll have to spend like half of the price of your phone to fix this issue...but I have something easy round for you. You should place that phone in a polythene bag for 3 days minimum with full of dried rice and every path ways that water can enter should be opened up. 'Cause mostly water damaged phones are fixed by rice because rice s-u-cks every water out of your phone. Note: Now I'm SP user. Had to sell that old phone after fixing the issue. I have a custom menu button. When the user clicks I want to show TOC, ( I see there is a state to show TOC) but when the user clicks the same menu button again on that slide how can I hide the TOC. ie toggle between hide and show.

I will get notifications but I can't pull down the actual menu to look at all of them. Does anyone know why? Or how it can be fixed?

I have screwed up all my side bar settings and I can not use tools because I meesed up the path way. I havent had the app long Can i just rest it all?

can i reset the program or do i just uninstall it ?

Not exactly sure what you mean, but you can try going to Window>Workspace and either clicking on Essentials (Default) or Reset Workspace,
Also, if you have photoshop cc 2014, you can right click on the big tool icon on the far left of the tool options
bar, click on Reset All Tools and that will reset the tools to the default values and also show the default tools.

What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your phone ? If it's not your id then tap on it and log out of it and you can then log in with your id.
If you have any apps or other content from the id that is currently showing then that content will be tied to that id e.g. only that account will be able to download updates to its apps and make in-app purchases in those apps

HT4528 My Iphone 5 icons went very large and won't let me reduce them to normal. It won't shut off and I can't use it.

If the icons on your iPhone seem large or magnified, it's possible that the "zoom" feature was enabled. This article explains how to check for and disable the feature:

I have an iphone4, it will not respond when I press the round menu button at the bottom. I have tried powering it down and turning it back on but does not help.

sounds like you're having a hardware malfunction. You can try restoring your phone first from backup, then as new, but if these don't help, you'll need to bring your phone to Apple.

So I downloaded itunes set up which took an hour or so.
Now what do I do?

Please check 2 things in your computer.
1. Right click 'My Computer' => Manage => Services & Applications => Services. Look for Apple Mobile Service at the top. Status must be STARTED. If stop, please start it.
2. Open iTunes in computer. For Windows 7, go to iTunes Store => Authorise this Computer => key-in your Apple ID and password when prompted. For Windows 8, press ALT and S together. A pop-up window would show information of authorising computer. Click Authorise this Computer => key-in your Apple ID and password when prompted.

Stephylei you will want to download the Mac versions of the installation files. If you purchased the software from Adobe, and choose the download option at the time of purchase, then the download will be available under your account. You can find more details at Find a download link on Adobe.com.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. You can then do a backup

My tool bar won't drop down when I'm online and I can't click out of tabs

When I'm online, my tool bar won't drop down when I move my mouse to the top of the screen. I have to keep pushing the ESC key until the screen finally minimizes. Also, I no longer have the little x in the left corner of my tabs, I have to right click the tabs in order to exit out of them. It's really frustrating and this just all of a sudden started yesterday. Any advice as to how I can fix this?

No - there is no x in an active tab, either - that's my problem! It's nuts.
I can't exit a full screen using option+command+f. ESC was my final straw. Thanks anyway.
I guess I should emphasize that I'm not new to Apple, so I know how my computer works. But I am new to this particular problem, and like I said before, this just started all of a sudden.

Well first off you shouldn't have had to pay for a download (just an assumption from the word "purchased".
If you are trying to install iOS 5 on your iPod touch, it won't work they arent compatible. I suggest checking what version of software you are trying to install and posting it in this forum so people can have a better understanding.

Cannot connect to Itunes, status bar goes about half way and stops. I have tried all the fixes other people have used, no joy. Running Vista with the most recent Itunes installed. Disabled fire wall and anti virus software. Once again, I have tried it all

Itunes won't connect, status bar goes about half way and stops, then times out. I have tried all fixes posted, you name it, I have done it. Running Vista and current version of Itunes. Can connect to Internet with any other app. Using Firefox, their latest version if that matters.
I have seen this is an on going problem throughout the Itunes community. All I can say is 'Bad Form Apple, Bad form.'

One more odd thing. The itunes diagnostics believes my windows firewall is on which is it not (believe me I've checked/double checked etc) AND believes itunes is not enable in windows firewall which it is, if ever I turned WF on. How can itunes get this wrong? I mean, if itunes believes its being blocked, maybe that's why I'm being blocked...has anyone heard of this?

Well I figured it out, right click the arrow that makes the screen bigger and unclick the Hide Toolbar. I knew it couldn't be that hard.
