I tried to download google earth and also Microsoft fix it and got the following error message:

Would be problems with purchases, billing, and redemption option. It's not 100% exact to your issue, but it will get you to the right department.
Go here https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do then select ITunes, then Store, then Purchases, Billing, and Redemption. Then.. probably pick "My topic is not listed."

Do you remember if you have installed some software prior to this issue?
Delete programs you never use.
If the issue reoccurs in Clean Boot, but works fine in Safe Mode, the cause may be the disabled hardware drivers. You may narrow down the
causes in Device Clean Boot.

Hook it up to your computer and open itunes. try to download hte apps via your computer. Every time you update hte software you have to reagree to the itunes terms of service. Sometimes it's hard to get it to come up on the device, but is easier on a computer.

Whenever I boot my macbook up, it makes a loud rattling noise. On the upper right side. Not sure what it is. It just started a few days ago.

Everytime I boot my macbook up, it make this really loud noise. Usually you hear the disc drive (or whatever it is) booting up, but this is ten times that and it doesn't very good! Not sure what's going on...

OK - more details/info now.
When I use terminal and type this:
drutil eject
I believe the DVD drives makes the odd noise I heard when I booted the laptop up.
Any thoughts?
I'm guessing that means my fan/hardrive are actually OK then, and it's probably the mechanism in the DVD drive that is causing problems?
I'm almost certain there's no DVD stuck in there?

Numbers is not responding...the colorful "thinking wheel" just keeps spining and won't let me do anything

Try to do that. If you may start the app, you will be able to see the true state of Numbers.
As you gave us a ridiculously short set of infos, we can't give an accurate answer.
I already saw Numbers busy for more than an hour.
Sometimes it's its normal behavior.
Sometimes it's the result of a bad design used by the user.

Try to change your Apple ID back to your old email address (http://appleid.apple.com) in order to set up and activate the phone. After the set up please sign out of iCloud and turn off "Find My iPhone" (Settings > iCloud) - do that on all your devices -, then change your Apple ID to your new address again and then add your iCloud account on you devices again.

I am trying to install an app and I am asked to type in a password for an Apple ID I no longer use. How can I get rid of this ID? I changed it on Manage My Apple ID a long time ago. I can't figure out where this is coming from.

It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID.

If you aren't doing any heavy duty photo editing
the base model should work just fine. I would suggest
that if you go with the base model, bump the RAM
up to at least 4gig, but get it at Newegg or direct from
Crucial or Kingston, it will be way cheaper.

I purchased Flash CS3 in 2007 for my mac. The dvd is macintosh only. Recently, I have built myself a new computer - pc. I use Flash a ton for animation and was curious if there were a way for me to use my cs3 version on my pc without having to purchase a new product. This may be a stupid question, but honestly, I needed to ask. Would it be possible to download a CS3 file and use my old serial and auth code, or is that mac specific?

but if you have a pc version on your dvd it should have a serial for that version.

I just purchased MBP 2.6 Ghz running Lion 10.7.3 and I am trying to install the Combo Update 10.7.4.
After I launch the installer at the Destination Select step I get this message:
Mac OS X Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirement for this update.
The sharing and permission on Macintosh HD are "Read & Write" for system, wheel and everyone.

If it's a new MacBook Pro (2012), you have to update in  > Software Update. They need a special version
