My Thunderbird opens 2 windows no matter what

It has just started happening, have years of use. EVEN in safe mode, 2 Thunderbird windows open, and nothing seems to stop it. Need suggestions please

Are you using the current version 24.6? There were problems with this happening back around ver 16 or 17 but I have not heard of it since then.

In the home page setting you need to use a pipe (|) symbol as separator.

You can also create or modify a Firefox desktop shortcut and add the two URLs to the target field of that shortcut.
In that case you need to separate the URLs with a space.

Thunderbird opens multiple windows for no reason

When I open Thunderbird the screen flickers many times and opens duplicate (30) windows of my inbox.

What version of Thunderbird?
What operating system? Windows 8, Windows 7, OSX, LInux?
What add-ons are installed? Add-ons that minimize to the tray have been known to cause this problem,

Try alt+F4 to close each of the multiple windows. If what you're seeing are message view windows, ctrl+w may be useful too. Then re-start.

Thunderbird opens in Windows 8.1 then stops responding. Why?

I cannot use Thunderbird and have reverted to Windows Live Mail which I hate. I can open Thunderbird. It will show any new emails but if I attempt to click on any thing else the program stops responding. I have tried to uninstall without success so that I can try a new download - equally without success. Anyone out there can help please? I'm running Windows 8.1 on a HP 64 bit All-in-one.

Firefox updated to 19.0.2 and now cannot access aol emails...simply will not open; OS windows 7, 64bit -- what's the fix?

after update to Firefox 19.0.2 supposedly optimized for aol, browser seems to work fine except for aol mail.
AOL mail opens, however after selecting new mail it will not allow one to open a new email by double clicking the message as is a normal way to open an email. It can be opened by right clicking the selected email message and selecting open in new window; however this mail cannot be replied to, saved or any other option as the option buttons on top of new window are inoperable. What's the fix- never was a problem in earlier versions of Firefox

ITunes doesn't open in window's 8, what can I do?

I had itunes running well in Windows 8, but about 1 week ago, it stoped working; it just didn't open, so I tried to unninstall, the compatibility solution; and nothing work... Someone can help me? Thanks in advance!

once that is installed
Right click the iTunesSetup.exe - Extract - Extract to folder -
In this new folder you will see individual MSI files
Right click each one by one and run as a administrator one at a time
Install in this order
iTunes - Do not open after installer Exits
Apple Software Update
Apple mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support

It won't open any website, no matter what i type in, in ff 4 beta 5

i downloaded ff 4 beta 5 this morning, and at the end of the installation, (where they check compatability of add-ons) a pop-up said

and when i opened the ff beta, it won't load any pages...
its just in the beta... my regular ff (3.6.9) is fine.

I have a browser setting change notice that comes up every time I open Firefox. No matter what I click on it will not go away. How do I get rid of it?

Images open in RAW no matter what.

When I open an image it opens in raw first. why? when I need to open an image template say from WHCC it won't show the lines (I'm guessing because of the RAW thing). Please help.

Look in PHOTOSHOP PREFERENCES>FILE HANDLING. In the lower half of this panel there are several choices you can make about whether your jpg, tif, or whatever , will open in camera raw automatically, or directly into Photoshop. RAW file will always open ACR, but you can click at bottom of the ACR panel "open" and it will be opened in photoshop .
It is not perfectly clear in the panel, but you can figure it out. Don't forget to save your choices (R upper corner of the panel). These can be changed repeatedly until it works your way.

ITunes won't open...no matter what! Expert advice needed

Hi,
I installed iTunes on my computer but I cannot open it.
Everytime I do I receive the message:
*'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.'*
The thing with this is, I am an administrator. Now, I've logged into my computer on the built in Administrator account and it loads up and works fine, but as soon as I go back to my personal account I can't open iTunes.
I've tried all the obvious such as reinstalling the program etc. but nothing works.

I am afraid I don't have a definitive answer, I guess it must be something to do with the way you ahve your account set up.
However to get running, how about going to your shortcut and selecting poperties, then the shortcut tab>Advanced.
There is a run with different credential checkbox, it is geyed out on my Home Edition XP, but maybe you can use it to run iTunes as the adminstrator from your account. This wouldn't be a long term solution.

Email Attachments No Matter What Size will not download or open up

My Playbook was originally able to open my email attachments from my BB phone but now I can no longer download or open any attachments - no matter what the size. Even an attachment that is 1 KB won't open! It just says 'Attachment too large'. When I click the ? it says 'The attachment exceeds the download size set by your administrator.'. The thing is I am a BIS user and not a BES one so there is no administrator.
Please help cause I've searched all over for a solution and have found nothing. I've had my playbook for a year now so I can't get direct support. Also, my phone is a Bold 9900 on OS7.

I am a BIS user. I wasn't able to pinpoint the problem but I deleted all the data and settings from my phone and only added the basics (contacts, calendar, emails, etc) and got it to work. It must be a setting or application permission that is causing the problem. If I find out exactly I will let you know.
I did the same thing - as mentioned above with the latest software and reinstalling the bridge but had no luck.

When I click on I Tunes store from my library nothing happens. No matter what I do the I tunes store will not open. What can I do?

I just downloaded the new version of I tunes and I went to the I tunes store. It opened just fine and I was browsing the store. I saw a song I wanted to purchase but I decided to return to my library to make sure that I didn't already have that song. When I clicked on I tunes store to return to the store nothing happened. Open every window in a new tab, even from another application?

I've got the extension Glims but even with all those options on, my other applications in Mac OS are still opening a brand new window and moving it too out of position.
Any way to make every window, no matter what app is opening a window, to place it in another tab?
I have BetterTouchTool but that's not controlling the window movement as it should be doing.
I can do this with Google Chrome but I would like to stay with Safari.

I have the first iPad, and it keeps crashing no matter what program(safari) app (iTunes) or game I use. I check the updates regularly and I'm up to date. Why does it keep crashing and how can I fix it?

I have the first iPad (which is considered ancient). I'll open safari and no matter what I'm searching after a few minutes it crashes (it will close safari and bring me back to the main app screen). The last few days I've been searching song on iTunes, and I have the same issue. It closes my iTunes and brings me to the main app screen.
I have checked my updates and everything is current for this iPad. It's a 64gb iPad with 54gb of available space so I know it's not a storage issue.
Does anyone have some pointers on how to keep it from crashing all the time?
