My Time Machine says there is no backup disk available. I've never had any problems with my time machine completing backups. I was away from house with my laptop for about 9 days so I'm wondering if there is something I need to do now that I'm home to get it working again. You can lose your ability to backup through TM for any number of reasons, but the most common is what happens after a update. If your drive still works, your best approach is to read this:

I just downloaded the new itunes update, now I can't copying TV shows purchased from the library to my backup computer, it says the files are invisible. Never had any problem doing it until the update. I have a Mac Pro G5 OS 10.6.8. The desktop hidden files app doesn't reveal the TV shows.

I have an iPhone 4S and never had a problem with syncing it. But suddenly, when I connected my phone to my mac, it says that its in recovery mode, and I need to restore it in order to sync. I've updated both my phone and my itunes, and it didnt work.Help?

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

i have just purchased elements 12. It will not convert a raw file for me. i have downloaded DNG convertor 8.5 but it says that my Canon 70d is not compatible. I never had a problem with my last camera canon 7d and elments 8. Can someone help me please
Did you buy PSE in the mac app store? If not, just go to Help>Updates in the editor and update camera raw and you should be able to open the raw files in PSE 12 directly without the DNG converter.

I rented a Movie and it has been loading for 3 hours now. Internet connection is fine. Have never had a problem with this before. What's really annoying is that the 24 hour time limit is counting down even though we cant watch it. Any suggestions?
The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Additionally, your 24 hours don't start until you begin to watch the movie, you have 30 days to start watching the movie. -
Time Machine gets stuck on 'Making Backup Disk Available'
This has been happening a few days now. Time machine kicks off a backup but it never gets anywhere. It just keeps spinning and saying 'Making Backup Disk Available'
The log says only:
Starting standard backup

I tried to use Disk Utility to repair the sparsebundle and although it says it needs to be repaired, when I click repair it quickly says it 'Volume Repair Complete' but then gets stuck on ''Updating Boot Support Partitions for the volume as required'. I left it on all night to see if it would ever finish and it never did.
Where do I go from here?

if disk utility can not repair the sparse bundle you can try repairing it with disk warrior or a similar tool. if that does not work either you need to trash the sparse bundle and start backups from scratch. there isn't anything else you can do.

I have Mac Book Pro ( bought November 2010) that I want to migrate all of the data and applications from, over to a new Mac Book Air? It was suggested that I use the Migration Tool as it is supposed to make an exact clone of the Mac Book Pro machine and put it on the Mac Boor Air. Can that really work if you are going from one platform to another?
I was also told I could restore the data from my time capsule to the MacBook Air.
I'm looking for the easiest method that will leave me with as little to do as possible to get up an running on the Mac Book Air afterwards. I'm not a real strong user and don't want to have to reconfigure applications to make them work.

Connecting your MacBook Pro and your MacBook Air will be the fastest way, but you have to spend money on cables and adapters (also, your MacBook Pro doesn't support Thunderbolt).
As you have a Time Capsule, one thing you can do is to start your MacBook Pro and make a Time Machine backup. Then, turn on your MacBook Air and set it up. Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so select the option to restore the backup from the Time Capsule and be patient. This can take a lot of time if you have to migrate a lot of files -

I've also gotten error messages saying that the page can't be loaded, even though everything else I use (Skype, etc) is running fine and connected to the internet. ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"
