My timeline empty and grayed out. :-(

I shot a video of multiple presentations (1-10 min clips) in training class. I imported the clips into Premiere Pro CS3 in lieu of Elements (more my speed)...anyway. I want to create a highlights video using 30 secs to 1 minute excerpts from each clip (I have about 15) Problem #1: I have set markers and "ins and outs" for the excerpts I want; however; I do not know how to save and/extract them. Problem #2: My Timeline panel is empty and grayed out, so I cannot drag even the whole clips into the timelne.

If you upgrade to iTunes 10.3, you can redownload your past purchases from the iCloud. Just go to the home page of the iTunes Store and click on "Purchased" under "Quick Links." It will bring up a list of your past purchases that are not currently in your library, with a little arrow icon that lets you download.

In photoshop cc timeline panel is grayed out

Can't Re-Install Lion from Recovery HD - Internal Drive Locked and Grayed Out

I can't boot into Lion on my Macbook Pro. I can boot into Bootcamp. When I'm in Bootcamp, using MacDrive, I can access all my files on my main Lion partition. I can also boot into the Recovery HD. From there I can get to Disk Utility which tells me that I need to repair my Lion partition. When I run the repair, it tells me it can't be repaired.
Given that I can still access all my files from Bootcamp, I tried to re-install Lion using that selection from the Recovery HD menu. It verifies my Lion copy over the internet. But when it asks me to designate the drive that I want to re-install Lion on, the drives (Bootcamp, Recovery and Mac) are all grayed out and all say "Disk is Locked". I'd rather not reinstall from my Time Capsule back up because of the time involved, the fact that the backup is a week old and because I dropped the !@#$ external drive with the back up on it yesterday and I don't trust it (it's making weird noises).
I've tried booting up in safe mode and ctrl-sys-r-p but all that happens is hours of watching the wheel spin. I had not set up File Vault so it shouldn't be for want of a File Vault password.
Any idea how I can unlock the drive to at least try to re-install Lion?

Thanks for the idea. I do have another Macbook at home although it's quite a bit older and I've only upgraded it to Snow Leopard, but I'll certainly give it a try. I've already tried what would seem to be about the same thing with, unfortunatley, no luck. I have an old hard drive (running Snow Leopard) that used to be the internal drive in my Macbook Pro. When I pulled it out, I stuck it in an enclosure. When this problem cropped up, I plugged it into the Macbook Pro that's giving me grief (via USB), booted up on the enclosed drive, and ran the disk utility off of that drive against the current internal HD of the Macbook Pro. All I got was the "can't be repaired" message.

No templates and grayed out menus

Maybe I'm missing something, since I'm new to iWeb, but when I open it there are no templates at all, and everything on the File menu OTHER than Close is grayed out. Suggestions?

Disabling and graying out a field

Hi all,
I am creating a form. One of the things I would like to do is disable/enable a field. Basically, I have a checkbox. If its checked, then certain fields should be disabled for filling and grayed for identifying them as disabled. If the same checkbox is then unchecked, the field is enabled and ready to be filled. Default condition is the field is fillable.
I am new to javascript, so based on what I found online, I came up with this to disable the field first, but nothing seems to happen when I check the box. I entered the code below in the "Run a Javascript" Actions and "Mouse Up" trigger under the "Checkbox Properties"

Hana on Solution Manager/DB Parameter empty and greyed out.

on this oportunity i'm configuring Hana DB on Solution Manager 7.10 SP08 (Recently upgraded to SP08), before the upgrade on SP05, the system was correctly configured but with the upgrade to SP08 now i see this:
like you see the instance name it's empty!! and i can't find how fix this.
Please if somebody have a solution or a clue, i've this problem on DEV and PRD.

i found the solution, if some one have this problem, can check the sapnote 1951729.
if you don't see any changes, try creating the connection through trx. dbacockpit and then assing the DB conection created previously (dbco trx-sapnote). Next step check it on solman setup (enter system parameter step).

Red exclamation and grayed out song

Earlier tonight my daughter purchased 10 songs on her authorized Windows 7 laptop. Of the 10 songs, 8 play with no problem; the remainging 2 have a gray circle and red exclamation point beside them and the songs will not play nor can they be added to a playlist. She then went to another authorized computer and downloaded the songs--no problem. She continued to troubleshoot and searching for answers online. She then called me and I downloaded the songs (another authorized computer) and all play including the 2 in question.
She has tried checking for any songs to download and even looked in the Quick Links => Purchased to determine if the songs were available to download. No songs were available for download. She has searched her File directory and the songs do not exist on her laptop.
How do we correct this problem on her laptop?
Any help is appreciated.

It's been awhile since I used that level of iPhoto but I believe that you have to select an area on the photo before you can use either of these two tools. For crop simply select the desired area and for red-eye select a small area around the eyes.

Why oh why did developers think it's okay to automatically check AND gray out "form history" in clear recent history??

For years I have been using clear recent history to quickly clear cookies and cache only. I had already unchecked the things I did NOT want cleared in options. But the new update automatically re-checked everything to be cleared! I did not realize this until too late, now ALL of my autocompletes are GONE! Updates should improve the function of the browser NOT change personal settings! Plus they changed options so the place to uncheck what is to be cleared is hidden and painstakingly time-consuming to find. Please do not pull this kind of "improvement" in the future, leave personal setting alone!!!!! you just ruined my night.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

Timeline Grayed-out/blank. Any ideas?

So I was resizing a clip of my *almost* finished project, and suddenly as I dragged the clip to make it longer, the entire timeline blanked out.
At first I thought I was inside a compound clip until I tried opening other projects, or anything for that matter. The timeline just stays grayed out or blank. I can't zoom in or anything, it almost seems like the entire timeline just corrupted in Final Cut.
I deleted my prefs and layout, nothing changed, then I reinstalled the program and it seemed cured as I could open other projects. But when I tried opening the orginal project (the one the program crashed on) suddenly the timeline blanks out again, and then it won't open any other projects again.
It's like my project is screwing up the entire Final Cut program...
I've already pretty much resigned myself to the idea that I'm going to have to start over, but I was wondering if anyone else had found a solution to this problem. From what I understand, this problem isn't uncommon, I just haven't been able to find a solution yet. Any ideas?

OKAY - I just read some other discussions on this (sorry - didn't see it until after I posted) and NOW I understand my problem - I got it fixed - thanks!
