every time i switch to a new tab in browser (laptop or device)
my timeline is stop
when i back to the page ... then continue ....
why ?

Edge Animate uses requestAnimationFrame API for animations.
When focus is out of a tab there is no repaint and requestANimationFrame does not call a function to update animation.Thus you see the pause in animations.
Not sure if there is any way to over come this.

I deleted bing as one of my search engine choices, but the bin page still appears when I open a new tab. How do I stop the bing page showing up?

I clicked on the search engine emblem and then I clicked on the "manage search engines" line. I then deleted bing as a search engine option. However when I open a new tab the bing page appears on my screen. How do I stop this from happening?

The most straightforward seems to be: hold Ctrl and Left-Click on the Reload button. You could also Middle-click on the Reload button (e.g. "click" with the mouse wheel, if you have a wheel-mouse.) The thread above also has some other options.
Edit: you could also hold Ctrl and drag a tab next to itself to clone it, another suggestion from the above thread.

When I open a new tab and click on a new link it open an entire new browser page. This started today with an update i just received.

Never used it myself, so I'm not sure if you can set to about:home or not. You'll have to give it a try.

I restored my most used sites page through troubleshooting but then downloaded stylish and the alt. browser came back when i open a new tab. Help?

I downloaded some dodgy software and having cleared it up it seems to have installed an alternative browser (delta?) and toolbar to my firefox. I've uninstalled the toolbar, but when i open a new tab, instead of my most used pages, it came up with the delta browser. So I followed the instructions on here and troubleshooted and restored the default settings of firefox. This worked until I re-installed the add on Stylish to customise webpages, and now it seems to have come back. Having uninstalled stylish it hasn't changed. Can i not use stylish now, or is there a way of my completely getting rid of this delta, enabling me to use the add on as before?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

How do I keep my browsing window the same size everytime I start Firefox and when I open in new tab

I can't see the the words unless I hit control and plus to view bigger. I used to be able to have the bigger size every time I opened Fire Fox and would not change when I open in new tab, now I click control and plus to make bigger, I click open in new tab and it's small again, every time I open Fire Fox everything is small letters so I have to control and plus all the time.

The size, in pixels, is staying the same. Most of the time, this is the way you should think of image size. Working in inches is only meaningful when you are about to print.
In your example, if the piece you have added is too small, select it and use Transform to make it bigger. This is upsampling, so quality may be compromised.

Firefox is adding advertising links to certain words on my website cornish-surfing.co.uk, and when I open a new tab an additional window opens with unwanted sites.
1. How can I stop these things from happening?
2. Why is it happening?
These things only happen when I’m using the Firefox browser. I use Sophos antivirus and firewall and the scans indicate my system is clean. So I’m assuming that it’s built into Firefox or there’s a security flaw with Firefox.
Can you let me know which and how I can stop it from happening?

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by adware on your pc (certainly nothing that is shipping with a plain official firefox build).
please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

How can I stop Firefox from opening a new Tab as Babylon Search?

So I recently downloaded Babylon (for an offer), and Babylon search started to open when I open a new Tab. I've uninstalled the Babylon program and the Search Add-On, but it still keeps on opening. is there any possible way that I can fix this? I want to open my new Tab as a blank page.

I recently downloaded a program that has, as an undesired additional action, apprently setup Yahoo as the page that opens by default when I open a new tab using <Ctrl> <t> (or the <+> symbol on the tab bar). This is aggravating to me, particularly as I have not been able to find a way to stop it occurring.
I expect that it is buried somewhere in my profile, but I also have not found a way to explore or edit the contents of my profile.
There is a JScript script file called "user" in ...\profiles\4g4vpust.default that I suspect is associated with the behaviour, but renaming it achieved nothing.
Prior to this, my new tabs used to open as blank pages, i.e. did not load any URL and I was happy with that. How can I get back to that state?

Did it add the freeze net assistant add-on? That add-on is known to do this. If you have that add-on you can uninstall it Firefox should revert to the default behavior.
