My tool bar isn't showing at top and the start and time at bottom isn't showing up...
What has happened and how do I fix this?
* If on Windows in Firefox 3.6 the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
* Go to "View > Toolbars" and put a check-mark for "Menu Bar" to make that permanent. See [[Menu bar is missing]]).
* Make sure that you have the ''Navigation Toolbar'' and other toolbars visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then see if you can find them in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window.
* If you see the item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window to the Navigation toolbar.
* If you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window.

That has never been a feature of Mac OS X, but I believe there was some kind of third-party software that could add that capability. i don't recall what its name is, but you must have had that installed, and it either isn't installed anymore (perhaps removed as incompatible?) or is not working properly in Mountain Lion.

I have been unsuccessful merging serval pdf files into one file. I select the Sidebar for both pdfs, then drag one pdf on top of the other and Save the Version. When I open the file I think I have saved, it shows only the original pdf. Advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I hit the magnifier tool on my iPad and now it only shows a portion of the screen and I cannot get out of it. What do I do?
Which magnifier tool are you referring to? If you double-tap with 3 fingers it should disable zoom. Then you can go into Setttings>Accessibility>Zoom and turn it off.

Everytime I reply to an email, my reply is at the bottom. My clientele, looks for a response at the top of the email. Is there a way to permanently fix this? It is a nuisance to cut and paste at the top of the email each time I reply!

my iphone is able to charge when i connect it to my computor, but no matter what i do, will not show up on itunes. i have tried resetting both the computer and the iphone and nothing is working.
Type "ipad not recognized in itunes" or similar into the search bar at the top of this page by "Support".

When I open up iphoto and click on the events tab then double click on an event, it used to show minis of all the photos in that event. Now it shows only one photo at a time. How do I get it back? Can you help?
On the bottom bar of the window (on the left iPhoto 11, on the right in other versions) note the slider. Drag it left.

If I am browsing on site such as Ebay or any shopping site and click on an item, when I return to the search page I am once again at the top of the page and have to search down for where I was in the list of items. This is not only on Ebay it is everywhere I search. Firefox goes back to the top of the page . It is annoying to have to figure out exactly where I was if I left the page and then returned. This is a hinderance when using Firefox. I have considered uninstalling it because of the inconvenience of 're-searching' after already doing a search. Firefox used to take me right back to where I was if I left a page, but that feature is not working now. I am not sure how to change this in the settings.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test. -
Firefox inverting the top of the browser and placing in footer on scroll
when i scroll down the browser flips the top of the page and paces it in the footer, greyed out.

Lately I have been getting a rectangular screen titled Login Setting, with my Username and Password and asking me to Login. This screen shows up on opening the computer and has never been seen before the last month or so. It has one box titled Login Credentials with a username and password field and a second box titled Login Status at the bottom where it says "Profile not found" in red. I've never seen this before and ignoring it does not effect any operations. Is this legitimate or some kind of identity fishing?

Should my iPhone 1 (iOS 3.1.3) with Bluetooth 2.0 (Handset HSP?) work with wireless earbuds with BT 4.0 and the Headset (and Handsfree, A2DP, AVRCP) protocol? They pair and connect as expected (with a PIN); status bar looks good and shows Bluetooth active, and I even see the iPhone displays the battery levels of the wireless earbuds. But audio always comes out the speaker. (If I plug in wired headphones into the headphone jack then audio comes into the wired headphones, as expected.) I have rebooted the iPhone; I have had it forget about the wireless earbuds, and repaired and reconnected; I have reset all network settings. Thx in advance.
PS: I understand that more recent versions of iOS have a way to choose where audio output goes (speaker, headphone jack, Bluetooth device). Does this older version of iOS? I could not find an option or setting.I've noticed this lately as well, with my iPhone 4. I couldn't confidently pin it directly on any particular iOS update, but my iPhone used to automatically connect up via Bluetooth with my Prius's handsfree feature, and now it doesn't. I work with a CE-based device at my job, with Bluetooth capability, and I used to test out that feature by having it discover my iPhone. This no longer works either.
What I have found (not really a solution, but it does work and may be a clue for Apple) is that if I simply go to the Settings app then the General -> Bluetooth screen and let it sit there, it will pair right up with my car within a few seconds. Bluetooth is always on, and always says "Now Discoverable" at the bottom of the settings screen. -

I do not have the 'Advanced' tab on the menu bar. I am trying to change ringtone on my iphone 4s. Have done the following: Right cick on song, entered the start and stop times, but unable to proceed as need 'Advanced' tab in order to change to option.
You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
