I restart with another computer (win 7) ... same problem!!
Please help

Hi Rallal
If you have tried all methods but failed, you can try this one.
This article is high recommended as it fixed mine.
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Torch/Blackberry-Torch-9860/m-p/2671439#M68206
You dont even have to bring your phone to the technician. You can fix it by yourself. Keep trying and follow the procedure step by step carefully.
Cheers!

  • My Torch 9800 stuck after restart and removing muncher

Hi, anyone help me out this problem...
I bought this Torch almost 2 years ago (first model)... Since 2010, there is no critical problem occured till now, but ...
today my Torch can't be use of these problem. Let me explain the details.
    1. I installed Munched (screen capture program), after installed i launced this apps and my bb automatically restarted.
    2. Then, after restaterd, the bb can be used as usuall and i didnt launch screen muncher apps after (Case 1).
    3. Last night, my bb runs properly and there is no problem at all...
    4. This Morning, i think to remove the apps (muncher) because i didnt use anymore. Then, i deleted this application using normal procedures. And, as we known, bb must be restart after unistalling any apps, then i restart.
    5. During restarting (loading bar) is stopped at 3/4 bar load.... So, i remove the battery to restart again...
    6. After restart, my bb seems ok till it loads menus and other. But it was only for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, a icon (loading star * like sunflower) appeared.
    7. My bb stuck and i can''t use any button / touch screen function. My screen display also won't shut off their light.
    8. I've tried to restart almost 6 time (remove battery), but it still same...
*I can use the menu for 15secs, then it becomes unresponsive....

  • BB Torch 9800 - won't sync calendar

    Device info
    Your carrier: Rogers
Model info and OS version (Go to Settings, then Options, then about): BB 9800; 6.0 Bundle 2921
    Apps and free space
File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): 193.5 mb
Did a battery pull fix your issue? No
    When writing your question
When I try to sync my BB with the desktop software, it pops up with an error while trying to sync the Calendar.  All other applications sync, just not the calendar ... Super frustrating.  I tried to search and fix on my own, but the suggestions for fixing it that I have found so far do not work.
What is worth a thousand words
Unfortunately, I was unable to insert the screen capture ... Not sure what I am doing wrong??  But the error message that comes up on the BB Desktop Manager is ... "Synchronization Error" "A program error occurred at line 131 in .\Error.cpp.  Please report this error by sending a log t technical support"  Unfortunately I can not find where to send a log?!?  This is the only place I could find ... Please help!

    Hello!
Unfortunately, since you did not list what you've actually already tried, we of course risk redundancy now...nevertheless, here is a KB that discusses that error:
KB32032 Recurring appointments of a specific pattern cause the sync to fail with an error message in BlackBerry Desktop Software
Hopefully it contains something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.
Otherwise, please do detail out exactly all that you've already attempted and exactly what happened with each attempt (with details please).

Via formal support, which you obtain by contacting first your mobile service provider, who can escalate your case up to BlackBerry via formal channels.

  • Torch 9800 won't turn on at all.

I was using Facebook app on my phone when I noticed it froze on the screen which I assumed was the phone lagging since I had a couple other apps open but then I also noticed my LED light come on in a still abnormal red, a dark red and then immediately my phone shut off completely.  I did a battery pull thinking I just needed to reboot it but that didn't even work since even after multiple battery pulls the reboot screen won't even show up, no loading bar, no LED either.  Just nothing at all.  Tried leaving it alone for a few hours, put the battery back in and still nothing.  Left the battery in while charging in and still nothing.  The battery was more than halfway full before this happened & no history of battery drained issues, this battery was sent to me brand new a couple months back so I highly doubt it's the battery itself but if someone has any input it'd be much appreciated.

    Hey Sonny_D,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
I suggest trying a new battery in the BlackBerry® and if the device still does not respond, I would suggest contacting your network service provider for repair and exchange options.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Desktop Software won't run - so I can't transfer from my current Bold to my new Torch 9800

I currently have desktop software operating on Microsoft XP SP2 with a Blackberry Bold. The desktop software was loaded approx 18 months ago.
I have upgraded to a Torch 9800 and wish to transfer my existing info from my Bold onto it via the desktop software. I have attempted to download the latest desktop software but ultimately it ends in a message stating that the application requires XP SP3 to run.
Are there any solutions other than upgrading my OS? An earlier version of desktop software that will work with both XP SP2 and a Torch 9800 perhaps?
    Cheers

Correct, the current Desktop Software does require WindowsXP, service pack 3.

  • AW version 4.3.0.26 installation story on a Torch 9800

This story began when I received a message that AW version 4.3.0.26 was available. I have a Torch 9800 with software version 6.0.0.706 and for the last 2 years every time I tried to install a new version of AW I ran into icon issues, either by clicking the AW icon it did not open the AW start up page or the icon could not be found. So I was curious what happen this time.
After I downloaded the new version and clicked the AW icon the app did not open. I checked the 'Application Management 'info and alas: AW was installed but already running showing CPU time had accumulated, i.e. AW was stuck in a loop.
I then tried to recover by pulling the battery a few times and uninstall/reinstall the AW software but to no avail. (This often is a quick fix but mostly not for a Torch 9800).
The only way I knew how to solve this issue was to wipe the phone but with an 'auto restore' feature for my current data. While this method wipes one's phone, i.e. it removes first all current device information and applications it is smart enough to reload all your device info and all apps including the paid apps later automatically.
I call this method 'auto restore'. A classic wipe leaves your phone with no data as suggested in other threads but then one has to reload  the backup data file  by hand to restore stuff but it does not restore your apps automatically and is quite cumbersome.
     Here are my initial conditions:
I have the newest DTM (Desktop Manger Software) installed, e.g. version 7.1.0.41
I have a copy of my current device software on my (Windows XP) PC
I made a backup file of my current data and apps
I had previously installed a valid ID
I installed the newest AW version, e.g. 4.3.0.26 (but with issues)
    Here are my actions:
    1) I selected 'Update' on DTM under 'Device' on the main DTM screen getting this message:
An updated BlackBerry Desktop Software component must be installed before you can continue.
    2) I selected 'Install'
    Windows Installer Window popped up.
Please wait while Windows configures BlackBerry Device Software Updater.
Existing BlackBerry software has been detected on your computer and must be closed before proceeding. Disconnect your device and click OK to close the applications. Otherwise click Cancel to stop the installation.
    3) I disconnect my phone and clicked OK.
DTM shut down and then restarted after the BlackBerry Desktop Software component installation was complete.
    4) I reconnected my phone and selected again 'Update' on DTM under 'Device' on the main DTM screen getting this message:
There are no BlackBerry Device Software updates available.
    5) I unchecked 'Keep me subscribed to email notifications' and selected 'View other versions'. I then selected 'Install' using the currently installed version with the default check mark.
DTM checked again for updates but now I got an 'Update Option' box with 2 default check marks:
    6) I unchecked 'Keep me subscribed to email notifications' and then clicked 'Install update'.
    7) After the 'auto restore' installation was complete I disconnected my phone and followed all prompts. (Make sure you can receive and send emails before you continue).
I then looked for the AW icon but this time it was not there!!! Normally this 'auto restore' resolved the 'non responsive click issue' but today it did not.
    8) I decided to delete the just installed AW version and then reinstalled it. Alas, finally the AW icon appeared and now it was responsive.
I followed the phone's prompts, installed my ID and then initialized my paid apps. It is important to do it in this order (install the ID first) or the paid apps will not work properly.
This 'Update' path method  which leads later to the 'auto restore' resolved my issues and all was good again.
Note: If you have a large music library on your phone as I have make sure it has stopped loading all files before you try to start your ID installation or you get some 'unwanted' messages.
While KB29422  suggests to install App World 4.0.0.55 to avoid the 'no show icon issue' I found that the 'auto restore’ method was always a good work around for either issue to have the latest AW version on my phone.
So this is my today's story which I wanted to share with the community. It might give you some new ideas to try out. I you liked it click either the 'thumb up' or ‘Like button' in the thread. Thx.

  • Torch 9800 Not turning on/red light blinking

I have Torch 9800 that won't turn on.
I've seen a few other posts on here and it seems this is a common issue, I've tried a few of the fixes suggested but no luck so far.
My 9800 has the latest version of BB OS available (unless there was one released within the last 4 days)
The red light only comes on when charged and goes on and off. When plugged into my PC it disconnects from the PC and then reconnects. Sometimes the charging battery symbol comes on and the blackberry loading screen after but the blackberry loading screen shuts off.
I have tried a new battery and that is not the issue.
I read that you can do an OS reload but my BB is not showing as connected under my connections (the noise indicates a device has been plugged in)
I'm at the end of my rope and need to know what to do !

Try following the steps here to reload the software on the device:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Device-software-for-BlackBerry/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-S...
Unfortunately you won't be able to backup the data on your device, but if you had BlackBerry Protect installed, you should be able to get most of your data back.
If you have any problems getting it to connect to the Loader.exe file in Step 2, unplug your phone and remove the battery, then plug the phone back in, and as soon as your PIN shows up, select Next. Don't worry if you miss it, just unplug the phone, plug it back in and try again.
    I hope this info helps!

  • My torch 9800 really really nuked

    Hi
I really pray someone will help me here..i have a torch 9800 which i owned for a long time. a month back i tried upgrading my OS to the new version, and my phone worked for 2days and stopped. the phone would go on and off on its own. then i did the reaload again and this time didn't manage to load the OS again. and since hen i've been serching on how to resolve my problem. i have tried BBSAK and JL_Cmder my phone always disconnects stating (recconecting to jvm). I've tried almost all of the suggested ways on how to wipe the phone but i just can't come right. maybe i am missing something.
what it does sometimes is show battery charging on the screen with a red light off and after 5sec you'll see it trying to restart then it goes back to black screen and red light on. is there's any other wipper i can use?
    Thanx in advance.
    Ray

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Given your description, I'm actually thinking you may have a hardware problem...perhaps your battery...
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Otherwise, beyond what you've already discovered, here are some more tricks to try:
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any state

  • Syncing issues with my Blackberry Torch 9800

I have been trying to sync my Blackberry Torch 9800 since August 2011.  I have updated the latest software and followed every instruction given to me. Nothing seems to wortk.  My Mac (running OS10 Leopard) recognizes the Torch but won't sync.  It gives me an error message and asks me to resync.  I'm close to throwing the Blackberry out the window and purchasing an iPhone.  I'm at wit's end.  Any suggestions?

I had sync issue on Enterprise email and my gmail account today from 6am to 8pm.  Single point of failure sucks.  I would go Iphone but my company uses Blackberry.

  • Camera - Torch 9800 - Unable to capture the image

    Hey everyone!
Had a torch 9800 for 18 months now and always been working fine... until today.
I went to use the camera and it all seemed to open up fine but instead of seeing what the lens sees the screen was black. The centre focus [ ] was there and I could zoom back and forth just a black screen.
When I click for a photo I get a message " Unable to capture the image "
I have searched the web and found nothing conclusive. Battery pulls, a full wipe and installation of the o/s have made no difference to it's lack of function.
Does anyone out there have a suggestion?

I am having the exact same issue.  I also tried rebooting, taking out the battery and sim card and cleaning out the back, alas no difference.

  • Torch 9800 ''email set up icon not responding'' ... unable to edit or set up email accounts.

Torch 9800, Network provider, O2 UK.
Although my BlackBerry service with O2 is connected and working as normal, I am totally without email on my Torch 9800. I have owned the Torch 9800 since March. All has been well until last week when I changed the password on one of the 3 email accounts I had set up on my device.  This password change left one of the accounts unable to send or receive mail, and is also what lead me to discover that I could not enter email set up on my device or via my network providers website ( www.o2email.co.uk ) .
I have spent hours on the phone with O2 discussing this issue. The usual checks and procedures have been carried out, battery pulls, checking settings etc and the service books have been deleted and resent several times. These actions have not resolved the problem but instead led to the loss from my device of the other 2 email accounts which were working correctly but have now disappeared into thin air. Having tried all possible solutions with O2 I now come here looking for an answer.
When I visit my Network Providers BlackBerry mail service trying to create an account using my pin etc,  I am without fail getting a pop up box containing  the error message ''Your account is not accessible via HTML browser. Please use your devive to access BlackBerry Internet Service''  !?  The result is the same whether I log in from my device over 3G or Wireless, or from a PC (have tried several browsers) .
On my device, when I click on the Email Accounts icon from the setup menu nothing happens, no response at all. I have tried many times and there is just no way to set up or edit mail accounts. I am without mail on my device and growing increasingly short of patience.
I am now hoping somebody here can offer me some advice on how to resolve this issue. What use is a BlackBerry without email capabilities ? I see from researching email set up problems on the Torch 9800 that I am not alone here so if somebody at BlackBerry is listening ? If this is a Torch 9800 issue then I am sure you will be doing all you can to resolve this but in the meantime PLEASE help by offering a solution to the issues I have mentioned.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums, bs342!
Well, since you searched the forums, you are undoubtedly aware that the problem you report is unfortunately a common one these days.  The good news is that RIM is definitely aware of and working on the problem.
First, let's try something on your computer.  What browser are you using?  Your problem there might just be as simple as clearing cache in your browser, then closing and reopening the browser to try the website again.
If that doesn't work, try this:
From your device's browser, go to mobile.blackberry.com. Select your country of choice, then go to Communicate>Email. Scroll down to Other Personal Email and click on Integrate Now, then Launch Email Setup. You should be able to integrate your e-mail accounts that way until RIM has fixed this issue.
Please let us know how it goes!

For BBM: I tried to add a contact as well as my frend tried to add me but i never received the invitation nor did my friend (my friend also has the same Carrier as mine and enrolled on the same package using his BB Bold 9000 OS 5 with BBM 6.1.0.71),another friend also tried to send me BBM invite but never received it. When I tried to log-in on my YM app,it says "service not enabled for this handheld".. I tried to go to the Carrier Customer Service to help me with the settings or something and say that my account is already updated to their BB services and I have already the correct settings. I tried to delete and reinstall the apps..did countless hard resets on my phone..but still the same problem..Can Someone help me plz..

I'm sorry to say, but I'm having the EXACT same telecom, same plan, same problem. I wonder if the original poster was able to solve his problem. I still can't use my BBM, though the other apps work just fine. :/
