Mine is even weirder, but maybe I can help.
First, a number of people are reporting that the zoom feature seems to stop working after the computer goes to sleep. You get it back if you reboot. However, a simpler solution is that you can move the cursor to a screen corner - one you have set up to start a screen saver - and when you move the cursor away to stop the screen saver, the zoom works again. Still a bug, but fairly easy to deal with until your computer goes to sleep again.
Mine is really weird because, as I was working to try to get zoom to work before finding out this other stuff, somehow I ended up with a situation where if I turn on zoom, the screen instantly zooms and I can't get it to unzoom except by turning off zoom. However, even though zoom is then turned off, I can zoom the screen as if it is on!
So, besides trying the trick of activating the screen saver, you might try turning off zoom and see if it will still zoom.

HP Photosmart 7510 touch screen, power light and wifi lights won't turn on

I bought my HP Photosmart 7510 over a year ago, just past warranty. I've printed less than 50 pages total at home and only 3 photos. Just as of two days ago, the touch screen decided not to work anymore, and the lights that usually come on next to the power button and wifi icon won't come on either. However, when I turn it on, the same tones sound out and the scanner and ink jets move around in their usual set-up. I've troubleshooted with trying several different ways of restarting it, but to no avail.
HP tech support phone line was a joke, I got told by the first representative (before telling him which product I had or even offering to troubleshoot) that he was going to send a repairman to my house for $149. Over the price of my printer. So I tried calling back and spoke with a young woman who, when I asked if she would help me troubleshoot my printer, said "you can't troubleshoot that, only software". Then insisted that I pay $130 for a new printer. When I asked to be transferred to her supervisor, I was yelled at, told to again buy a new HP printer, and pushed off the phone.
I have had several HP products, I always seek them out for the brand name and have trusted the merchandise. But one year of life in a product is just silly. And unforturnately, I won't be able to convince myself to buy another one for that kind of lifespan unless I can fix this. I know I'm not the first one with this issue, is there a RECALL I'm not aware of? How can I get this puppy working again?

I am sorry to hear about your Photosmart 7510's touch screen showing blank and not working. I understand you can still hear the printer warming up when you power it on. I would like to post you a troubleshooting guide below to try in hopes to correct the issue.
If you have tried all of the steps and the screen is still blank, you can also try another power cable if you have one.

If you are able to have the screen come back on, also check for a Firmware Update.

Also, I have at the same issue the starter of this thread. To describe in more detail, I can hit the on/off button to show the home screen. But, the touch screen is not working. And, there is a faint red light about 5mm to the left of the Verizon logo at the top of the front screen. I chose this phone because I wanted a smart phone and this looked like a great option, but I have been having consistent issues and have not dropped the phone or changed anything on the phone. Hoping to get some help, otherwise, I am contemplating paying the cost for the new Samsung note, as much as I DO NOT have the money to do this. Please let me know ASAP as to my options, especially since I don't have any discount or good upgrade options until 04/2013. Thank you so much hope that I can get some resolution to this problem. 8gig ipod touch screen not lighting up can see if look closely but cant slide the unlock or anything either will not show up in my itunes either

ok so i turned on my ipod but the screen stays dark if look closely at an angle you can see the screen but doesnt light up

Try:
- A reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Restore the iPod from backup
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have a problem then it is likely a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

That's why it is recommended that you sync the device with iTunes regularly, to backup your content purchased on the mobile device. iTunes music is purchased as a one time download, and it is up to the purchaser to make backups of their purchases.
If you have not sync'd the iPod Touch and have no backup, and it won't even power up, I think you may just be out of luck.

You have to have a passcode enabled first. I was having trouble with this as well but I figured it out. I think it's because you will need the passcode to modify the fingerprint settings. Y'know, for security.

Is there any way to get touch screen working for unit that got wet?

i recently had my ipod touch fall in water for a few seconds, and since then my touch screen will light up dimly, but is unresponsive. the unit works for sync on my computer, as well as playing on my bose sound dock. only the touch screen seems affected

If the liquid damage has occurred recently you should try to dry it completely before attempting to use it. Have you tried putting the iPod Touch into a bag/bowl of uncooked white rice? That would help to pull all the remaining liquid out of the iPod.
If, after that the iPod's screen is still not responsive then it's something you may need to have repaired or replaced.

Lumia 800 touch not working and battery question m...

I have been quite happy with my two months old Lumia 800 until recently when I accidentally dropped it on cobblestone and damaged the glass. Although the phone still worked I ordered a new combined glass, digitizer and screen from an internet supplier. The spare part was OEM and it was relatively painless to replace the old screen with the new screen. However, after replacing the screen, touch did not work and a question mark appeared over the battery icon. I searched the forum and other places on the internet and found out that this type of issue had been seen before and that it in some cases could be fixed by an upgrade of the firmware and a hard reset.
Now a few frustrated days later I am starting to think that possibly the replacement part is faulty as I have tried various firmwares, various ways to charge the battery with various types of USB chargers, but still no success. The phone simply won't respond to touch. Currently I am on firmware 1750.805.8773.12220.
Would any of you in the forum have any ideas what could possibly be wrong? Could it be a broken cable to the screen? I had similar issues with an iPhone 3GS which turned out to have a dodgy ribbon cable connecting the phone and the digitizer, but I cannot seem to find anything on the net mentioning this as a potential problem and I am wondering just how likely it is that the part is faulty, when the screen works fine and only the touch functionality is not working.
Any ideas would be much appreciated. It is very difficult to get in touch with Nokia in Denmark as their support phone is not working and the websites chat functionality seems to be off line all the time.

You shouldn't have used the phone at all after it dropped in Water.
Only Nokia Care can assess the extent of damage and tell you the repair cost. First, they should accept the device for repairs..and Second, this is certainly not covered under Warranty ..
Even if the phone is repaired with replacing a few components, not sure about the effect of the seepage on other parts which may start acting in a short span ...

Problems with touch screen

After successfully updating my Lumia 920, its touch screen got a problem. After every screen lock, the touch is not working and so it needs to be On/Off at each time. I have done volume down +power button option also. Still the problem is there. Can anyone help me to solve this issue?

I don't have much app's installed towards my Iphone5. But I update it on regular intervals whenever i see updates. Now i am facing a huge problem my touch� is not working and every time I need to restart my device. Please suggest me on this.
I brought my Iphone5 at Canada. Currently I am at India, no service center is looking into this issue and not supporting. Apples doesn't have International warranty ??? .

I don't think you're aware that this is a USER TO USER technical support forum. Apple is NOT here.
You have been given solutions to try in many different posts. If those have failed you, then your phone has a hardware malfunction. The iPhone can only be returned for repair to the country of purchase (except for the EU, which serves a a single country for warranty purposes). You don't have to agree with this or like this. That does not change reality.
There is nothing further we USERS can do for you on this forum. Do not continue to post if you have no further technical support issue.
