how do i get my itouch to play thru speakers while on the universal dock?
hmm if your ipod touch will not play music tru its internal speakers while it is connected to a power cable might be beacuse of a malf. to fix this issue just restart your ipod touch while connected to a power adapter. if this does not work it may be a hardware problem. please take it to your nearest apple store. they might be able to fix the issue and if your ipod touch is under warrenty they might be able to replace it.

It did not have iTunes in the list, just mail and iCal alarm. Deadlines and emails are vital in my home office.
Now that I think about it, adding Mail to the list was the only thing that I had changed to the computer when this happened, but I can't imagine how that would alter permission to install on the OS.

I just bought this iphone not even a month ago. It will not work unless it is plugged into the wall. It will not turn on plugged into a computer. Am I SOL? I do not have insurance.

You do have a one year warranty on workmanship and materials.
Call Apple and set up an appointment to have them look at it.

I recently dropped my iphone 4 from about 15 feet in the air, had an otter box gel case on it and it did not break the screen, but it will not come on, no back light but can still hear the voice contorl and randomly hear music when I push the center button, I have it password locked but can't see to unlock, any help out there
Just guessing here, but dropping your phone is probably the reason your screen or backlight doesn't work.
Only solution I see is to take it to Apple and buy and out of warranty iphone 4. -

My ipad2 will not connect to wireless. It recognizes our router but when I put in password it just spins.
Some things to try first:

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

My iPhone 5 will not charge or turn on while holding the home / sleep buttons.
My phone won't charge, have tried the wall and the computer. I tried holding the home button and the sleep button at the same time and got nothing except the battery with the bolt telling me to charge.
You should try to use a different cord to charge the phone, if this is solves the issue you can call AppleCare and if your phone is under warranty they will replace the defective cord.
If you try a different cord and this does not solve the issue, you may need to contact AppleCare and get a replacement phone. If there is no physical/accidental damage done to the phone and the phone is under warrany you will receive the replacement phone for free. !

I have a 13inch, late 2011 Macbook Pro. It has a Os x Lion 10.7.4 as its' software. The camera was woking fine when I got it, and then one day it just stopped working. I have no idea why. I checked in system information to make sure it was present in the USB section, which it was. Also, the green light turns on. But none of my applications register that it is there. My microphone works and everything else. Just the camera. HELP!
Same problem here...running an iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo and ever since the 10.8.4 update, the external display is not working. I use a "Apple" Mini-DVI to Video (RCA/S-Video) adapter to an old school 4:3 TV...I read some threads thinking this was a 3rd party adapter issue, but it is not. When I click OPTION-F1, I get either the blue adjustment screen dim, and then nothing happens, or the iMac screen goes black. On both occasions, nothing shows up on the external display (TV). I tested the adapter on my children's computer, which was still running 10.8.3...extended display worked....I updated their OS to 10.8.4 and sure enough, same issue. I sure hope they fix this soon. I was encouraged by an Apple employee friend to submit the problem on their feedback page...the more people the better.

I updated Iphoto on 12/13/13. Now when I try to open it, I just get a message that says "The library iphoto library cannot be opened. To open it, you must upgrade to the latest version of Iphoto." But I have no updates for iphoto.

Universal dock remote control play/pause button doesn't work

Ok since updating to Ipod touch software v2.2 I have been unable to use the play/pause button on my Apple universal dock remote, whilst my iPod touch is in the dock.
The volume controls and track next and previous buttons commands on the remote control work just fine.
I have tried unpairing and then pairing the remote with the universal dock but same issue. I thought that maybe the play/pause key was possibly broken. However I tested the remote on my iMac and play/pause button works fine in front row.
Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated.Strange thing is mine started working again last night and is still working. Seems the problem went away as it originally appeared. I hope it doesn't stop working.
I will mark this thread as unanswered until we can figure why the remote, universal dock and iPod touch are behaving this way. -
My mac desktop will not provide sound from internal speakers. When I go to audio devices window it only shows airplay. How can I get internal speakers back.
There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Some may not apply to your model. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
4. Other third-party software that has been reported to interfere with sound output includes "Boom" and "Samsung Kies." If applicable, uninstall according to the developer's instructions (not by dragging something to the Trash.)
5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select Built-in Output from the list on the left. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them.
7. If a red light is visible in the audio-out port when sound should be playing, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
11. Reset the NVRAM.
12. Reset the SMC.
13. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Recreate your settings in the Sound preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
14. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.

What kind of iPod is this? Have you tried a different set of headphones to see if that makes any difference?
If no luck there, work through the usual 5 R's of troubleshooting to help eliminate any possibility of a corrupted software or data on the device.
