My touchscreen goes crazy when I am on a call.

It does not do this any other time but when I am on a call. Applications start opening, the phone goes on mute, then it goes on speaker, then it opens contacts - it is driving me insane. If I am not ona call it is totally fine.
My power button is also not working. Not sure if the two issues are related, but I know that they started around the same time.
I have tried letting battery run out and have tried resetting the network settings. My software is up to date.
Am I going to have to suck it up and take it in?

Mine start doing crazy things while I was listening to music. The phone was just lying on my desk with nothing special around it, and certainly I was not touching it. I noticerd the screen had some finger prints, so I figured it might have been body oil making contact.. so I just wiped the phone with my shirt and it went back to normal. This is kind of creepy because it can go into an app and start buying some **** without my consent..

  • My iphone screen goes crazy when it charges

    Hey there,
Whenever I charge my iPhone my screen goes crazy when I touch it. If i'm typing whilst its charging it clicks random things and deleted what i've typed. The phone works completely fine when its not charging and I haven't had any other problems with it. I have the iPhone 5c iOS 7.1.1 (about to update after this post).
If anyone could help me that would be great!
Ps. Someone posted a video and my phone does the same
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbsNCjbs-xg

I have the same exact problem and I use an Apple charger and lightning wire cord. Resetting the phone doesn't work and neither does shutting it off and turning it back on. It is infuriating to say the least, especially because this stupid phone spends more time on the charger than off. The battery is crap.

  • Creative Zen 16gb goes crazy when FULL volume - 25 (with UE 5 P

I dunno if anyone in here have this problem!!! My zen goes crazy when i pump up the volume FULL. It has problem with MP3, AAC (Nero AAC) works fine. My mp3s are all LAME 3.97 vbr V0. And its surprising, when i use custom EQ setting even the MP3 works fine with FULL volume but once I change it to preset ROCK or anything else the sound goes cracking. My UE 5 pro's sound goes ON and OFF and the CRACKING sound is killing me. BTW I am using latest firmware version
(Creative ZEN Firmware .2.0). Any Idea! Thanks in Adv.

Just want to comment on the sound quality. With my player it's the opposite direction; sounds for videos are not as good as with my mp3 and wma files, but it's nowhere near bad either. With my set of Koss PortaPro the?sound is outstanding with the music.

Nope, it isn't normal, but I don't know the cause. You might have better luck posting in the Safari forum:

  • Touchscreen going crazy

My phone is going crazy! Sometimes the touch screen will not register the letters I am pressing and randomly presses letters by itself. The phone will open apps by itself without me even touching it, open emails etc. I seriously want to throw it! I just got the phone brand new from Apple about 4 months ago or so. I end up having to shut the phone down for a few minutes but lately, even that isn't fixing the problem. I've synced my phone and updated all apps. Is anyone else having a similar problem or know a solution?

I have never had the same or similar problem.
Standard troubleshooting steps in order are:
Power your iPhone off and on.
An iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
If no change after the last step, the iPhone includes a one year warranty. You can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

  • My fan goes crazy when watching vedio clips?? Why??

Everytime when I watch video clip or movies with RealPlayer, the fan of my Macbook just goes crazy. It sounds like a jet. Is it something wrong with the Macbook or the Realplayer?
Does anybody else have experienced this issue?
    How could it be solved??
    Thanks

    Like this:
    1) Click on the blue apple in the top left of your screen.
    2) About this Mac
    3) Click the "More Info" button
    4) When the System Profiler opens, click on Applications. It is in the left pane near the bottom.
    5) The right should now contain all the names of your applications in alphabetical order. Look for RealPlayer.
    6) Once found, click on it to clearly highlight it.
    7) You should see:
    Version: 10.1.0
    Kind: Universal
If you don't see that, then uninstall RealPlayer and download the correct version from:
    http://www.real.com
Read everything VERY carefully. Look for the Intel version of the player.
I just realized that you might be asking how you know if you have the latest system and firmware updates. If that is the question, then:
    1) Click on the blue apple in the upper left of your screen.
    2) Click "Software Update..."
    3) Download 10.4.7 (if you don't have it already)
    4) Download Intel Firmware update (again, only if you don't have it already)
    5) Reset your machine when prompted by OS X.
That's about I can type right now (my brain is pudding). Post back if this STILL wasn't helpful enough (or at all).

  • My ipod touch 5g goes crazy when i plug it up and i use the apple cord that it can with

When I plug my ipod touch 5g up to charge and I get on there to play games but when I do, it goes crazy! The screen wont work and I keep on tapping at it and then the screen finally works but only for about 2 mins.

Try a different cable and a different charging source.
Other users have reported the same but never posted back when how it was resolved.

  • Fan going crazy when booting

When I boot up iMac, the fan goes crazy. After a moment it stops and is quiet again. I unplugged my power and plugged it in again but that does't work. I tried to start AHT by holding D when booting, but that didn't work. I didn't get any discs when I bought my Mac so I can't run AHT using the disc. How can this be fixed?
I also have Windows 7 installed but I don't know if this is relevant. The fan goes mental everytime i boot up. It doesn't matter whether I do that with Windows or OSX.

  • Touch screen on iPhone 5 is going crazy when i'm typing and using my apps

is anyone having issues with the sensitivity of the touch screen on iphone 5?  Mine is going crazy!

Just had exactly the same problem and the stress it caused!
My phone was calling people, deleting emails and then locking me out because the screen wouldn't respond properly when i tried to put my passcode in...
Thank you so much for this info.. i rebooted with the power and home button, gave the screen a good wipe with a lint free cloth and crossed my fingers..
So far, so good. I may even be able to cancel my genius bar appointment for Sunday.
    Thanks again!

  • Bionic going crazy when charging.....

the touch interface goes haywire when i'm using my bionic while it's charging.  the home button opens the video camera, texting produces letters i never touched, touching the apps drawer gets the home screens flipping, etc.
i'm using the wall plug AND cord that it came with it from the corporate verizon store.  i've hard reset, and pulled the battery.  what's the deal??
(this is in addition to about a million other bugs this phone has)

I've experienced this, too, and there's been a discussion of it on the Motorola Bionic Forum -- check it out for ideas:
Touch Screen acts erratically when phone is charging
The explanation that makes most sense is some kind of grounding issue...though having that explanation doesn't fix it, of course.  Try a different cable, if you have one or can get one.

  • The voice over thingy goes crazy when switching sound system.

When itunes asked me if I wanted the feature where an artifical voice says to me what's currently playing on the ipod when pressing the middle button, I answered yes. Because I wanted it.
The feature works as expected, when I listen away on the pod and press the button the voice says what I'm currently listening to.
    But.
When I leave home to go to work I plug in my headphones and listen away all the way to work. When I arrive at work I simply disconnect the headphones (ipod automatically pauses) and I plug it in to the speakers I use there. When I've done this and press play the artifical voice starts saying EVERYTHING I have on the ipod in one long sequence. Turning the ipod off and on at this point does not help. Turning on the radio and then turning it off kills the voice though.
This happens every time, at lesat five days a week.
    Bug? Broken?
    Best Regards

I tried the Reset & Restore guide you linked to for me. And since I performed the steps in that guide I haven't been able to get VoiceOver to work at all! I checked the VoiceOver option on the iPod menu in iTunes but I get no voice when pushing the center button on the iPod.
I tracked this down and it seems the work around for this is to set the option VoiceOver Language for every track to something else than the default value which is 'Automatic'. i tried this for a couple of tracks and it worked - but come on, this is Apple late 2009 - make it work!
Yesterday i updated to the new iPod firmware but still no dice, I still have to change the language option for tracks to enable them for VoiceOver. Oh and by the way I upgraded first and then performed the Reset & Restore guide once more, just to make sure.
Hence I have not checked if the original problem of this thread remains because I'm not going to set all my track languages, it's ridiculous. So in a way the tip fixed my problem I guess... But not really...

  • IPad goes crazy when using it while charging

Hi, these couple of days my new iPad started to act weird whenever I'm using it while the charging port is intact with my new iPad. Which means that it is not responding to my touches when the charge port is intact and reacts normally when I pull out the charge port. This is the first time it is happening after using it for a couple of months. The weird reactions are such that i can't type or touch at the correct location as it goes else where. It changes my pages, goes blank enlarge my page and becomes jumpy. It's getting annoying as it is not functioning the way it Shd be whenever the charge port is intact. It goes back to normal when I unplug it. I have actually taken a video on this issue and i can send the video to you via youtube if you require. Please advise. Thanks

If the reset does not help, then transfer all purchases to iTunes on your computer, next backup the iPad to your computer and then restore the iPad with the backup.

  • Monitor goes crazy when I adjust the angle...

When I tilt my monitor back away from me, at a certain point the picture scrambles or sometimes the screen goes white until I tilt the monitor closer towards me. Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds to get the picture back, but it always has come back thus far.
I assume a cable on the inside is getting pinched. Is there an inexpensive way to fix this or am I looking at a major repair???

    Hi Avidediter,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
I believe that you are having a problem with your reed switch, which usually cause symptoms that you are experiencing. You should bring it to your local Apple Store/Reseller to get it looked at and fixed. Did you purchase AppleCare?

  • Computer goes crazy when coming out of "sleep"

    Here is the scenario.
When I run on battery power and I close the lid,
then I open it back up... the graphics go crazy (distortion) then the computer freezes.
My battery does not qualify for the replacement program (different numbers), but clearly it is some sort of power management issue since it never does this when running on the adapter.
    Anyone see this before?
Apple told me to re-initialize the battery and I did.
Should I call back and demand a replacement?

Yes, if the problem continues then AppleCare should provide a solution. If you haven't already done so, repair permissions, install any missing updates, repair permissions again and perform a Power Management Unit reset.
Repairing Permissions and/or Resetting the Power Management Unit (PMU) is known to resolve certain anomalies or conditions, and may help with your symptom. Neither process will compromise or harm anything with your Mac so it’s worth a shot.
    Repair Permissions:
    Go to: Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility
    Select: your Hard Drive
    Select: the First Aid tab
    Select: Repair Permissions
Resetting the Power Management Unit (PMU)
If the computer is on, turn it off.
Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the computer's battery.
Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds and then release the button.
Reconnect the battery and AC Adapter.
Press the Power button to restart the computer.
