My touchsmart 520 will only sleep for 10 seconds, is there anything i can do to rectify this?

It's usually an optical mouse, if you go in to Device Manager then the properties of the mouse, and Power Mangement tell it to not allow the mouse to wake it from standby.

How long did you wait for the download to run? The last time I downloaded the Windows support files for Boot Camp, it was going very slowly, so I swapped away to another task. Several minutes later I came back and it had moved a little, but not much, so I went on with other things. When I got back to it several hours later, the download had completed. Perhaps you just need to let it go overnight to perform the downloads...

Win 7 either comes with a virtural XP machine installed, or it's freelly availible. I forget which, but this may be a simple solution to your issue.

No. Return it and get your money back if still within the 30 day return window. All US iPhones are carrier locked and cannot be officially unlocked.

Unplug it and let unit go dead. Then hold your Home button down and plug the USB power cord back in. iTunes should see it and then restore.

40 Gig iPod Photo will only play for five seconds

My 40 Gig iPod Photo will only play the first five seconds of the songs I have on it. I have not changed anyting and it worked just fine last week. Any ideas? I have done a hardware re-set. I have no clue what is going on.
Any help would be great!

Have you tried a reset?
Hold down the home button and off button together for about 6-8 seconds(until the apple shows ignoring the slide to turn off at this point).Soon as the Apple appears let go and allow it to reset back to the Home screen(can take a couple of minutes).
Try it again.This isn't a Restore,so you wont lose any of your media.

Everytime i connect my iPhone to my laptop itunes will say "This computer has previously been synced with an iPhone or another iOS device" is there anything i can do to stop this?

The error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer". There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone -- you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video. So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS.

Explicit versions will have 'explicit' (or a red 'E') against them in the store, if it's not labelled then it will be clean.

My MacBook Pro's USB ports will not work. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I bought it in late May of '12. The USB ports stopped working a couple of months after I bought the computer. I did not spill anything on it or drop it. I went in and had them fix it and they worked for about a month. They will work occasionally and it takes me removing and entering the USB connector multiple times before it recognizes that anything is there. The computer is no longer under warranty and I don't want to have to pay a bunch of money to have it fixed. Is there anything that I can do to fix this or am I going to have to have someone else do it.

If there is no change, bring the MBP to an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation. Bring the recalcitrant devices with you. This should at least determine exactly where the fault lies, with the MBP or the externals. Any repair costs quoted you may accept or reject.

Subtitles will only display for five seconds no matter what

I am running DVD Studio Pro from FCS2 and I cannot make the subtitles display for longer than 5 seconds. I need the subtitles to display for the entire movie across a dual layer disc with 3 movies on it. I have extended the subtitle over it and that did not work. I have force display checked, but it seems to have little effect aside from the 5 seconds. I have increased the default time of the subtitle in the preference pane again with no luck. I have even duplicated the 5 second default subtitle over the entire movie and had no luck either.
This is an urgent matter so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

First off it might be useful to know what you are trying to achieve so you can get the best advice.
Do I glean from what you have said that you want the same Subtitle to appear across the entire movie? Is it some kind of watermark? If it is you do know that the end user can turn it off or (if they off the mind to) easily rip the movie without the sub.
If it is some kind of watermark that needs to be on the movie then the only way it being permanently there is to "burn it in" in Final Cut or the like and then encode the resulting movie.
Give us a bit more info and we can probably advise further.

I just brought my MacPro in for service and they replaced my hard drive. However, now my disc drive has suddenly stopped working! Is there anything I can do to fix this without having to take it back in for service, again!?

The nearest service center is 2 hours from my house and my computer isn't under warranty anymore, so I need alternative options. I'm just frustrated that my disc drive was totally fine until AFTER I took it in for service. I just paid a lot of money for a new hard drive from the apple store and now my disc drive has suddenly stopped working correctly. I tried with multiple CD's and DVD's...loading a disc, but my computer would just make a weird loading noise and then eject the discs. Now it has started fighting taking the disc, so I have stopped trying. Is there anyway to fix this problem without taking it in for service again and paying another boat load of money?

when you say that your disc drive is damaged, do you mean your MacBook Pro’s hard disk drive, or do you mean its SuperDrive (the CD/DVD drive)?
When you’d updated your MacBook Pro to Mavericks, did the installation succeed, and subsequently freeze up? Or did it freeze up during the Mavericks installation?
Which version of OS X was installed on your MacBook Pro before you’d installed Mavericks?
Are you currently able to boot into the Mavericks recovery partition? To see if you can do so, hold down a Command key and the R key while starting up your MacBook Pro.

I got Mavericks and now clicking my mouse doesn't work in many apple programs, is there anything I can do to fix this, and is Apple working on a fix for it?

Clicking buttons doesn't work in calendar, preview, or updates, and it also doesn't work in fullscreen videos viewed on youtube. Right click seems to work like a left click, but not for everything. Clicking the mouse works in other programs.
