My Trackpad is loosing the connection

Hello,
my trackpad loses, during a session, often the connection and it shortly afterwards. I got this error since yesterday. What can this be? Can anyone offer a solution? I´m using an iMac mid 2011 with an Intel i7 3.4GHz with 16GB RAM.

Very likely to be batteries. Have you changed them recently; did you replace them with the usually recommended batteries like Apple (not my choice) Energiser, Duracell or Eneloop? When you lose connection do you notice if the green light goes off.
When you check batteries, never forget to check the terminals inside the battery compartment; remove the batteries, clean them and the terminals with white vinegar or an alcohol based substance. Wait for whatever you use to dry off then reconnect and (hopefully) away you go.

Keep loosing the connection to my 30" display

Hi
I've just bought a MacBook Pro 17" + and adapter to my 30" Apple Cinema Display.
There seems to be an annoying issue however; 3-4 times during a work day I loose the connection to the 30" display. This happens without any prior notice. I don't mess with the cables or anything. Everything is plugged in nicely and securely, and the weirdest thing is that even thought the connection is lost to the screen itself my mouse and keyboard (which are connection through the screen) still works.
I need to unplug the adapter to the mini display port 1-3 times before the connection is reestablished.
3-5 times during the day what also happens is that the screen "blinks" for about 1-2 seconds (goes dark) and then goes on again ... causing me to hold my breath hoping the connection is not lost again
Is this a knows issue? And what to do?

Can I "change the channel"?
Of course. You would change the channel on the wireless router creating the wireless network. The AX will automatically detect the channel that the wireless network is using.

Why does my iPad loose the connection to VPN in Stand-By?

Hey!
I got a problem with VPN and iOS (on iPad 2). When I connect to a VPN-Server (I tried it with different protocols exept the 'Cisco IPsec'-stuff) and the iPad goes into Stand-By, the iPad looses the connection and I manually have to reactivate it in the menu. I am very sure that this is not a problem of the server (tried also different services). Can I fix the bug myself or do I have to wait for an update?

Apple tv keeps loosing the connection with the mac

Purchased a new desktop mac, time machine and an apple tv. everything is working splendid however the the apple tv seems to keep loosing the connection with the computer. As I sit here i see its no longer listed on the i tunes as a device, I seem to have to reset to the factory defaults again and re install it. I hope I am wrong and I am missing a step and its there and maybe I just don't know how to access it, So here I am posting this to all, Help.... I will be the first to admit I really am a little lost with this apple tv

I have the same problem as you do. i have had my apple tv for about 2 years now. I connect my apple tv to my iMac, via wifi by airport extreme. i used to before connect via ethernet cable to my airport extreme, i still had the same problem as you do. that itunes losses the apple tv. yet, from apple tv i can still access the internet. i have gone through all my settings on my airport, they are all correct. the connection only seems to last a few days then, it just losses connection. i have asked this question before, but now one was able to help. Apple is not interested because apple tv is just a pet project to them. you do not have to rest the apple tv every time, you just need to go to the options menu and select the connected computers and tell it to delete connection to your computer. once it has done that, make a new connection to your computer on itunes put in the new passcode and set up which films etc you want to be sync. We should not have to do this every few days. Apple needs to sort this out or at least lets us know how to stop this.

Ich betreibe im Büro und zu Hause jeweils einen Microsoft Home Server. In beiden Netzwerken ist neben diversen Windows Rechnern auch ein Mac vorhanden.
Die jeweilige "Konfiguration" ist wie folgt:
- Apple MacMini (Late 2011, als HTPC) mit Lion per Wlan über AVM Fritzbox 7390 an Microsoft Windows Home Server 2011 (Windows Server 2008).
- Apple iMac (Late 2010, Arbeitsplatzrechner) mit Snow Leopard per Lan über AVM Fritzbox 7270 an Microsoft Windows Home Server V1 (Windows Server 2003)
Alle Betriebssysteme sind auf aktuellem Stand.
Die Fritzboxen laufen mit der jeweils aktuellen Firmware
Nun zu dem Problem:
Beide Macs unterbrechen ca. alle 30 min den Kontakt zum Server. Die Verbindung wird zwar ca. 1-2 Minute später wieder aufgebaut, aber am MacMini (HTPC) macht sich dadurch bemerkbar, daß der Film oder die Musik für obige Zeitspanne stoppt und danach weiterläuft. Beim iMac (Arbeitsrechner) kann ein zuvor vom Server geladenes Dokument dann nicht mehr gespeichert oder gedruckt werden.
Der MacMini hat dieses Phänomen direkt bei der Verbindung mit dem WHS gezeigt. Der iMac hat jedoch zuvor ca. 1,5 Jahre ohne Probleme funktioniert. Dieses Problem tritt bei dem iMac (Snow Leopard) erst seit ca. 6-9 Monate auf.
Da unterschiedliche WHS und OS X Versionen betroffen sind und auch unterschiedliche Fritzboxen verwendet werden und scheint ein allgemeines Problem im Zusammenspiel Windows/OS X vorzuliegen.
Bei dem iMac fällt der genaue Zeitpunkt der Verbindungsunterbrechung nicht auf.
Bei dem MacMini läßt sich der Zeitpunkt dagegen relativ leicht bestimmen. Aus der Ereignisanzeige beim Windows Server ergibt sich leider kein eindeutiges Fehlerbild. Zu dem jeweiligen Zeitpunkt taucht aber relativ oft, aber nicht immer (!), in "Windows-Protokolle Sicherheit" der Fehler 4625 ("Fehler beim Anmelden eines Kontos") auf. Dies würde auf eine Rechteproblematik hindeuten. Das Konto des Mac kann aber alles was ihm auf dem WHS erlaubt ist.
Beim Suchen nach einer Lösung (bisher leider erfolglos) bin ich u.a. auch über das Problem des Server Infrastructure License Services (silsvc) beim Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials gestolpert (auch alle 30 min!). Vielleicht ein Zusammenhang?

I run the office and at home each a Microsoft Home Server. In both networks, in addition to various Windows computers, a Mac is available.
The particular "configuration" is as follows:

Now to the problem:
Both Macs are loosing every 30 minutes the contact to the server. The connection is "re-"established about 1-2 minutes later. On MacMini (HTPC), the film or music is stopped for the above period. Thereafter, the film / music goes on. With the iMac (workstation) a document loaded from the server can no longer be saved or printed.
The MacMini has shown this phenomenon directly in connection with the WHS. However, the iMac has been working about 1.5 years with no problems. This problem only occurs for about 6-9 months
Because of different WHS and OS X versions are affected and also different Fritz boxes are used and it seems to be a general problem in the interplay Windows / OS X to be present.
When the iMac is the exact date of disconnection does not occur.
With the Mac Mini, the time can however be determined relatively easily. From the Event Viewer on Windows Server is unfortunately no clear error image. At the particular time but appeared relatively often, but not always (!) In Windows Security Logs the error 4625 (Failed to log on an account) on. This would indicate a rights issue.
Searching for a solution (so far unsuccessfully, unfortunately), I stumbled over the problem of the Server Infrastructure License Services (silsvc) in Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials (every 30 min!). Maybe a connection?

My reason for not posting this in the server forum is that I suspect it is a clien issue. All my other clients connect happily to the server which leads me to believe the server is configured correctly.
Only my the two MacBook Pro's are having problems.

i am loosing the hotspot connection between my iPhne5 and my iPad afetr closing the smart cover. i should go to the hotspot settings and turn off and then on again to restore the hotspot connection between the two. i got fed-up to do so whenever i close and open the cover.

Wifi turns off to save battery life when the phone sleeps. That's why you lose connection.

I can't put my windows xp to standby without loosing the connection...

So I can't put the windows xp machine in standby mode without loosing the internet connection. According to my LAC icon I still have a connection and if I "repair" it, it says it can but still no joy. It will work just fine after I restart the comp but that kind of destroys the whole idea of standby mode (having a saved session and all). This never happened before I installed the airport.

So, I think I've solved all my issues with the airport and my xp machine.
I did some other research and found that there might have been a issue with my zone alarm firewall and the airport. I turned it off and everything has been working good all day. I turned it on and I was back to my comp not recognizing the airport and no connectivity when I went to sleep mode and came back.
If you're running zone alarm and are having these kinds of issues.
Try and turn off ZA, if that solves the issue, turn ZA back on and go to:
Zone Alarm > Firewall (on the left side) > Zones tab (top right)> ADD (bottom right) > Host Site (top of popup menu).
When the dialog comes up, make sure the "zone" is "trusted, type in the name of your aiport (ie; house, my airport, what ever you named it when you set it up, if unsure, start the aiport from the start menu and see what it says), under "description I just put "airport router".
Then the "lookup" button comes into focus and you press it. It will find the ip address press "ok" and that is it!
BTW- My XP firewall is off.
So far so good for me. Maybe this weekend I'll see if I can get the external HD to work....(crosses fingers and knocks on wood).

We loose the connection to oracle (ORA-03114)

Our connection pool looses connection to oracle (ORA-03114) in a random manner.
We use jdk1.2, jdbc 8.1.6 drivers & oracle 8.0.5 db on solaris 2.6.
This problem started when we switched from jdk1.1.7, jdbc 8.0.5.2.
We also seem to have problems reading from a date column, rs.getString("DATECOLUMNNAME") has for some reason seized to work.
The application is pretty db exhausting, we use a lot of long raw fields for storing images etc.
The connection pool is a free version from Bitmechnic.

Loosing the connection

I keep on loosing the Apple TV from my device list in iTunes. Also my iPhone remote doesn't control it. In the setup menu of the apple tv the option of adding another remote stays grayed out all the time. Any ideas?

A strong signal doesn't necessarily indicate you aren't suffering from some form of interference, have you tried changing wifi channels.
The remote app only works with the tv and a primary library, how have you set up your itunes library to work with the tv.

My facetime says it looses the connection when i try and make a call ? Why ?

When I try and call someone else who has facetime through ipod on wifi , It wont ring and then it says Connection Lost . When someone calls me i accept the call but It hangs up because it says Connection Lost .

I have the exact same problem with my ipod! Ever since i have upgraded to IOS 6, whenever i try to ake a call it will say 'connection lost' and when i try to ring someone, it wont make a ringing noise and when i accept it again says ' connection lost' it has never done this to me before since the upgrade! could it be due to my network/wifi, im on orange?

Why the radio is stopped every 3 or 5 minutes loosing the connection..?

Ignore the call and send it to voicemail: Tap Ignore.
Put the first call on hold and answer the new one: Tap Hold Call + Answer.

With a CDMA network, tap End Call and when the second call rings back, tap Answer, or drag the slider if the phone is locked. If you’re on a FaceTime video call, you can either end the video call and answer the incoming call, or decline the incoming call.
Switch between calls: Tap Swap. The active call is put on hold. With CDMA, you can’t switch between calls if the second call was outgoing, but you can merge the calls. If you end the second call or the merged call, both calls are terminated.
Merge calls: Tap Merge Calls. With CDMA, you can’t merge calls if the second call was incoming.

After about a half hour or so my new iPad air looses the wifi connection

My laptop in the same location never looses the connection. Why does it happen with my iPad air ? I can get the connection back by either shutting off my ipad or going into settings then wifi and turning wifi off and then back on again. It connects right back up. The signal strength is full, I cannot find out why it does this, does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it ?

The prolem is from fabric, You are not the first one with that problem. Those are the bad things of buying new technology when its aout, most of time comes with problmes. I recommend you to go to an apple store and them to tell you whats going on. I had the same problem and I pay a little and they change it to me to a new ipad but from the same model.
Turn it on a try everything on the same store like that you dont need to go again and pay again.

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Since installing Lion, I have been loosing my connection to airport Extreme after I have put my IMac in sleep mode. My Ipad is also loosing the connection. This issue started since the installation of Lion, is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I've had that problem on my macbook running 10.5.8 for a few years. Sometimes it's worse than others. No other computer in my house has this problem.
