My trackpad isnt working correctly

When i woke up today my trackpad was just working incorrectly, when i use the left click, it works as it was the ¨enter button ¨ for example in safari when i look for a webpage, for example facebook, when i click the direction bar to start writing, the search starts immediately and i havent even type the webpage yet, other example is here, while im typing this and i make a left click, it takes it as the enter button and this line that indicates where im writing goes down, like this.
im writing, then i use the left click
and now im down.
My trackpad works as the enter button
Can someone tell me what is happening ?
When I restart my laptop the trackpad stills working incorrectly but when i turn it off and then i turn it on it works correctly for a short time and then
starts to work incorrectly again :S
please can someone help me?

  • Trackpad not working correctly in Lion

So been waiting anxiously to download and did so this morning.  I cannot get the gestures to work.  Is the software not working properly or am I not holding my tongue correctly while using the trackpad on my core 2 duo machine.

    Hi,
After installing Lion on MacPro, I had no problems with trackpad, but than it suddenly stopped working. I realized that I have moved my trackpad to close to my MacBook pro and it got paired with it. Once I unpaired the trackpad with MacBook Pro, (in system preferences->Trackpad->Set Up Blootooth Preferences) and paired it with Mac Pro all was fine again. It might not apply to you, but it might help other people.

  • I load the Retina Macbook and the trackpad not working correctly

When I put the Macbook Retina to load the trackpad starts to fail, generate actions that we did not perform. I noticed that the MegaSafe charger is heating up too much during charging. When I remove the charger from the Macbook trackpad back to work properly.

The charger has to be replaced.

  • MacBook Pro trackpad not working correctly

The last few days my MacBook Pro track pad is not working properly. For instance the trackpad doesn't click (sometimes on left but not at all on the right side). The mouse clicks on things and drags them, basically is acting very annoying. I've press down on all the corners to make it work and can hear grit sounds under the  trackpad e.g. Crumbs, also tried going round all the pad with my nails but not making any difference. I haven't got AppleCare but I bought it January/February

    Hi rbarnes1121,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
From what I understand, your trackpad on you MacBook Pro can be erratic and perform commands that you are not meaning for it to perform. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article to help troubleshoot this situation.

  • Trackpad not working correctly when plugged into AC power

When i am running on battery, the trackpad is great--when plugged in, it is very flakey, not smooth, sometimes freezing up...all in all pretty frustrating!
I have reset the power management unit, but it did not help.

    Hi Lemenos,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Do you have any "hacks" installed your iBook? Try going to System Preferences > Energy Saver > Power Adapter (next to Settings For:) > Processor Performance > Try faster or reduced and see if one works better. What are you doing when this happens? Do you notice any patterns? You may want to look at Knowledge Base Document #17228 on Portables: Jumpy or Erratic Trackpad Operation and Knowledge Base Document #58389 on Your PowerBook and iBook's trackpad doesn't respond. Is the wall socket grounded? How can you tell if its electrical or static? What does it feel like? Try touching something metal to ground yourself before touching (bed frame) and see if you still get a shock. You should not get an electric shock from the button, if you do stop touching it. Bring it to your local Apple Store/Reseller.

  • WRT54GSV7 Wireless Internet Just isnt working correctly..

I have been on the phone with AT&T and Linksys for the past 5 days for hours at a time trying to figure al lthis out and its still not 100% right. This NEEDS to get solved.
Heres the basic simple rundown. I recenetly had to reinstall XP Pro on my laptop. So I then had to re-start both my DSL modem and Linksys Wireless Router to factory defaults to get everything set up again.
My setup: My desktop running XP has the router and modem plugged into it. I have 2 laptops pulling wireless connection from the desktop. One laptop running XP, and another running Vista.
So I have AT&T DSL service. I am aware of my PPPoE Username and Password. I plug my modem straight into my desktop, and internet works fine. So then I plugged it into the Wireless Router, and into my computer. I went into the router settings (http://192.168.1.1) and the only things I did were:
Set the Internet Connection Type to : PPPoE
Set the correct password/username for the PPPoE
    Clicked Save
    Went to Wireless
    Set the Channel to 11
Changed the Network Name to DCL
    Clicked Save
    Went to Wireless Security
Set the Security Mode to WPA Personal
    TKIP
    And set the shared key
    Clicked save
This is ALL I did with my wireless settings. I could then get on wirelessly via my laptops. But my moms Vista laptop would drop connection randomly. My computer also started to drop the connection randomly too. From every hour, to every couple of minutes, to not for 2 hours at a time.
It would just connect me to another Wireless Network, then I would just open the network connections and connect back. It would connect RIGHT back.
Also I noticed today, my laptop said "This computer cant share IPS" or something like that.
I really need to get this solved. My internet worked FINE prior to re-setting everything.  Is my Wireless set up correctly? Did I do the right settings? Miss some settings?

On all Vista computers, disable IPv6 under the LAN properties for all adapters.  On the router, disable UPnP.  Under wireless set Beacon Interval 75, RTS and Fragmentation threshold to 2304. Wireless channel 1.  Reboot computers and try again.

  • My LR 5.4 Crop Tool isnt Working correctly?

I just bought a new Macbook Pro 15" fully loaded with the 27" Monitor, I am running Mac 10.9.2 Mavericks and just updated to LR 5.4. It is the second time I have used LR on it since I bought it. When I went to crop a photo from 4X6 to 8X10, it is not changing the photo in the view. It looks like the thumbnails show it changed, but I would like to see it in the full view. I have tried rebooting it, and still get the same results, can anyone help me out? I have never had this problem in 4 years of use.

Have you restarted Lightroom and your PC?
    RMIPhoto wrote:
I'm having the same problem on a Windows 7 PC after installing LR 5.4.
When you crop a photo in the develop module and click close, the crop is not reflected in the work area.  Likewise, no changes that I make: white balance, exposure, etc. are being reflected in the work area.
If I make a bunch of changes and then create a virtual copy, all of those changes including the crop are reflected in the virtual copy, but nothing changes on the photo as I am working.
Not an acceptable way to work!

  • Java isnt working correctly...

It never really loads...stalls out waiting for game...it all runs really slow

    To avoid confusion:
Do you really mean the Java plugin or do you have a problem with JavaScript?
In case of Java you may have to add a security exception.
There has been a change in the Java security settings, see:
*"What should I do when I see a security prompt from Java?":<br>http://www.java.com/en/download/help/appsecuritydialogs.xml
If you visit a website regularly then a possible workaround is to add the URL to the Java Exceptions Site List, see:
*"Why are Java applications blocked by your security settings?":<br>http://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_blocked.xml
*"How can I configure the Exception Site List?":<br>http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/exception_sitelist.xml

    Hi Karisam,
    Try this:
    Open a Finder Window
Click on the "Go" in the above status bar
Press and HOLD the "option/alt" key
the "Library" should appear in the Go list
Click Library still while holding the option/alt key
    Go into Preferences
    Look for com.Apple.imessage.bag.plst
Move that file to the trash
    Delete the trash
    Restart iMessage
This should hopefully resolve your issue.
