My Twitter profile picture is sideways when viewed on ANY iPhone.

Hello,
My profile picture on my Twitter account is showing up sideways, 90 degrees to the right, when I view it from my iPhone. I also tried it on two other iPhones, a 3G and 4S and it's the same. It's fine when i view the picture from my computer. I tried removing and then uploading the picture again on Twitter, but it's still sideways on the iPhone. Trying to figure out if this is a Twitter issue or the iPhone?
Thanks, Debbie

You connect the iphone to your computer via the cable provided with the iphone (USB).

  • Menu navigation buttons do not appear when viewing page on iPhone

My webpage shows the menu navigation buttons on all browsers and platforms but when viewing on an iPhone they are not there. Hence you cannot view other pages. Is this a restriction of pages created in iWeb or am I doing something wrong?
I have trawled through the discussion forum and tried tips such as the height of the menu bar from the top on the page, pixel width and making sure the menu box is at the front or brought forward.
    my website is www.sussexgolfcaptains.org

This may or may not be of interest, but some site builders (such as weebly.com) are mobile friendly — click here:

Also, unlike sites made with iWeb, Weebly sites respond to desktop Safari's +View > Zoom In+ command — this is helpful for many who don't have perfect eyesight for reading small text. (iWeb's default font sizes are relatively small.)

  • I lost all my profile pictures on Facebook when I sign in using Firefox...can you help?

It's all in my question. If I sign in using Internet Explorer then all my profile pictures on facebook are there.

#Be sure ''Tools > Options > Content'', "Load images automatically" is checked to display all images for all sites. In Firefox 4 and later you can click ''Firefox button > Options > Options > Content''. '''If you do not want images for all sites''' to be allowed, you can leave the selection un-checked and enter an Allow exception by clicking Exceptions, entering the site URL, and clicking Allow for the site.
#*while on that panel, click "Exceptions" to the far right of "Load images automatically; if the site is on the list and shown as "Block", click the site in the lower panel and click "Remove site", then click "Close" at the bottom of that small Exceptions window.
#*See --> [[Options window - Content panel]] ''(click on "Content settins"}''
#Load the site; if images are now visible, you do not need to continue, otherwise, continue with the follow steps.
#Click on the Site Identity button (the icon at the left end of the URL/Location/Address bar
#Click "More information"; the "Page Info" panel will open
#*Click the "Media" tab and verify that "Block images from ''(site)''" is NOT checked
#*Click the "Permissions" tab. On the "Load Images" line,
#**at the far right, "Allow" should be selected; if it is not, click "Allow" (the options on the far right will be grayed-out as long as "Load images" is checked
#**"Use Default", when checked, will use your settings in step 1, above.
#Close the "Page Info" panel and test.

  • Why am I getting 2 images of each picture on iPhoto when I connect my iPhone to the iMac?

I have been experiencing this problem for a while. However, it doesn't happen all the times.
When I connect my iPhone (4s) to my iMac (running Yosemite), iPhoto pops up on screen, all the pictures from my iPhone displaying under "Devices" (i.e. the iPhone) are all duplicated, meaning each picture has 2 copies displaying. Therefore, I don't feel comfortable uploading them to the iMac, worrying that I may get 2 copies of everything taking up the memory.
Appreciate if someone could help me resolve this problem. Thank you.

Before you import unplug the iPhone and plug it back in.  That usually will remove the duplicate photos showing and import just one copy.

Thanks for the above input from all. I found, regardless of updates and whatnot... that if I were importing photos from my phone via the USB connection, I had to make sure that in iTunes both "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" and Sync this iPhone over wifi were UNCHECKED.
Open iPhoto after those options in iTunes correspond, and finally the duplicate issue stopped.

  • Why do my movies come out sideways when transferred from my iPhone to my PC no matter which way I hold the iPhone when I record?  And how do I fix it?

Why do my movies come out sideways when I transfer them from my iPhone to my PC, no matter which way I hold my iPhone when I record the video?  How do I fix it?

    Defiled:
I did sign a two year contract and completed that contract. The 3gs is no longer in service. My daughter is going overseas to protect you and your family. I was attempting to find a way for her to have a reliable phone that could offer her some connection with home as she travels through the middle east.  She travels in missions all over.
At&T unlocks other phones of theirs why not the iPhone?  AT&T says that Apple will not give them the code, it is not the carrier.  If I would have known this situation would have come up I would have bought and unlocked 3gs phone"Deggie" .  My main complaint is that Apple has not good excuse as to why they will not allow their phones to be unlocked from services well, AT&T .  I bought the phone full price, completed the contract terms, even went for and iPhone 4 with another2 year contract, along with owning an apple computer... I love the product.  My main issue is give me a good answer as to why you won't allow a phone to be unlocked. It doesn't hurt Apple, People still have to buy the phones from them, and use their App store and iTunes.
Sorry, just upset about my daughter heading over there, boots on the ground, and just pray she will be safe. Would have liked to facetime her while she is in the airports and in specific areas allowed for that.
Please don't come down on me for asking this question. I understand all the contracts etc.... but to single out the iPhone specifically to not unlock after contract is over does not seem fair.
    Thank you for your responses.

  • HT201302 Why do my pictures sync sideways when importing into my computer

When Importing my Pictures to my PC why do they come in sideways.

Because the software you're using to view the pictures on the PC is not reading the file/metadata information on the picture to put it in proper orientation.

  • Pictures are bright when viewed in photoshop

I have a couple of computers with calibrated monitors (Huey for both xp and vista). So if I view a photo in photoshop elements (4 and 7 and also ACR as I import DNG's) the picture is brighter than any other applications I view it in (iview, canon's digital photoshop pro, safari, ie7 etc) and the print (using canon printer, paper, ink and profile).
They are brighter even when displayed side by side with the other application running at the same time. Adobe gamma shows up in the control panel but I do not have it in the start folder. I have spent about a week searching around the web and found other people with this problem but no answer.
Currently I solve it by doing adjustments in ACR then just before bringing it in I bring the blacks lighter by 3 points. In photoshop I have a layers level at the top of the stack and have the black marker up 5 points. Just before I output to a file or print I turn that layer off. This gives me comparible results but it does not feel like the right solution.
    Any ideas?
    Tony

I have also observed the same and the reason is processing algorithm of each software is different for Camera-Raw Files.
Since Camera-Raw files are raw information which is processed by each software in different ways.
I have obsrved that results are better in ACR sometimes and in opposite way...
Its better to get JPG through the application where you are getting good view. Also you need to some experiments to conclude something. I use Nikon D200 and normally process my files in PSE-ACR. Rarely process them in Nikon-NX
When I shoot in NEF+JPG in Camera, I get different previews in PSE due to the same reason. But I find it useful...

  • I enter specific times on the computer icloud calendar and the times are three (3) hours different when viewed on my iphone. I have checked the time settings on the iphone and it is correct (EST).Where do I go next?

I have entered dates and specific times on my computers icloud calendar.  When I view the dates and times on my iphone the times are three (3) hours later. I have checked the time zone settings on my iphone and it is correct (EST).  Where do I go next?

Restoring is the answer. It sounds as if there is a rogue process constantly draining your battery.
The issue you face is that, if you restore your backup thereafter, you risk the problem coming straight back with your files.
Store your files individually and it is time to start fresh.

  • Company EShot is scrambled when viewed on the iPhone.

    Hi all
I have recently been employed with a firm and have the task of creating a weekly Eshot that is to be sent out. I don't have much experience in Dreamweaver and I am seeking your help.
Firstly I have created the page using tables over a background image and centred it all. It looks fine on most browsers on computers. However when I try viewing the EShot on an iPhone it is scrambled. I can't understand why and I included a <div id=wrapper> tag to try and correct the problem and used <div> tags for each section. However they seem to be moving around slightly on seperate browsers and the iPhone moves the tables everywhere.
    I would appreciate any help.

This may be the first time I have seen an email put together like this - interesting.
When using tables, design view in dreamweaver is actually very accurate, so if it looks a little off there, it's likely to be a little off everywhere. This is maybe the only time when design view is very accurate. Using your code in DW, it's seems to be off.
General HTML email guidelines (a short list):
Use an outer table to contain all the inner tables - much like your div wrapper.
    Do not use divs
Do not use embedded CSS unless it's for email client overrides or mobile devices (iphone reads them). Instead use inline CSS styling. http://www.tizag.com/cssT/inline.php
The way you have built the email, using a background image with tables over the top, will NEVER work across all email clients and should be avoided at all costs - in fact, background images themselves don't appear in all email clients. You need to construct your email using sliced images and position the text inside color boxes instead of on a background. Keep in mind that some email clients turn images OFF by default so make sure the structure, and design of your email is kept even without the images.
I have included some resources below to help you get a better understanding of the HTML email side.

    Thanks for your comments
Several of our iPhone users in the UK reported the problem this morning, and as the Apple fan in the office I've got the job of resolving the issue
The original Excel was an old .xls file, but I have saved it as a .xlsx and the problem still appears
I haven't spoken with our developer yet, but I assume he has created the Excel file using some programming tools rather that directly using Excel
In the meantime I have created a simply spreadsheet with 8 cells contain values
In the first 4 cells, I have formatted them using Currency, and have used the currencies USD, DEM, GBP and CHF
In the remaining cells I have formatted them using the Accounting option, using the same currencies
When I review the spreadsheet on the iPhone (or iPad), the first 4 remain the same yet the last four all show the £ symbol
I have now changed the Region Format of the iPhone to United States, and when viewing on the iPhone the bottom 4 values are now all showing the $ sign!
If I had created the spreadsheet I would have put the Currency code in a seperate cell and purely used a numeric format for the number, and there would be no issue.  That might be the only solution
Yes, the Director has the full MS Excel app on his Windows 8 device, but I can't expect all of our clients to go and do the same, in business many of them will have the iPhone
We may have to change the way we produce the report because of Apple's failings here, and it's not the first time that we have had to change something because Apple devices can't display them properly
In business, submitting a potential job contract only for the recipient to get the wrong idea of the costs is a major concern

on my bb curve 9300 I have NO profile pictures and can not view albums etc . I have read thought he other thread again. No one has reported back that they have raised the issue with their carrier, just that they would do. They may have solved it but who knows.
So it would be useful to get feedback from someone who has spoken with their carrier and had it solved at that level, or had the carrier raise it with RIM. If everyone who has the issue does that, the answer may well be forthcoming.

When logging in to my iMac OS 10.7.5 my profile picture had changed... Any idea why that might happen?

Not on this forum, on my iMac. It's the picture above your password when you log on. I know how to change it, actually did in settings before this post. When I came back from a errand, it had changed back to a default of a parrot. Weird... just hope it's not a virus
