My udating Firefox failed and not I cannot access it

I tried updating Firefox on Tuesday and somehow it overloaded my Mac and now all I have is the Firefox symbol with a circle/slash through it and it does not function. I tried downloading SeaMonkey and have the same result. I know the two are related through Mozilla. What can I do to revive Firefox as it has been the browser we have used exclusively for several years. I tried downloading an older version of Firefox and get he same result, the circle/slash in the symbol. Why did this happen when I was prompted to download the latest version? I tried sending you a note about this the other day through Opera but could not determine where the prompts were for sending and realized too late that I had mistyped my email address and was unable to correct it so sent it anyway. Paldeng, thanks for the suggestion. I've done all that. I can connect to the server, but apparently they are not recognizing my ID and password. I can use the server program if I don't go through Mail (using the same ID and password). My mother in another state with another provider has had the same email issue, as also my husband on his laptop who uses the same internet connection I do. His worked fine until we had it repaired at the Apple store and all the original programs reloaded (with the required updates, I assume). We can receive email in Mail, we just cannot send.
I contacted my service provider, and we went over my connections. They said it was not their problem and connected me with Apple, resulting in a charge to me because my warranty is long expired. Apple swears it is not their problem, it is the provider, so here I sit. My son was able to fix my Mom's Mail (she's 97) and got my husband's working also, until mine went out, by tweaking connection descriptions and ports remotely. The thing is, we had not messed with any of those settings, so what changed? I just did not want to bother my son again, as he has many other demands on his time.
Since this fiasco with the Mail v4.6 update, I'm wondering if something else was updated that works well with Lion and Mountain Lion, but does not work well with Snow Leopard and Leopard. I think the problem I had with the Mail update was that my Mail program had been renamed to Mail (original), and therefore was not being recognized by the update. Perhaps they had another tweak in there somewhere that is affecting outgoing mail connections?

In other words sort links A - Z but leave the Folders alone.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

Problem with Photoshop Express IOS 8.02 - I recently installed IOS 8.02 on my iPad Air and Photoshop Express cannot access my full library of images. Also, when opening the app, I'm not given the option of selecting "Open from Adobe Revel", "Take a Picture" or "Open from Camera Roll".......I am taken directly to a small selection of images. The only images that show up are the saved photos previously adjusted through Photoshop Express. I also updated my iPhone 5s with IOS 8.02 and Photoshop Express works perfectly on the iPhone with all images in my library visible.
What could be the problem?

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

It's not related to any hacking.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    1.    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    2.    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    3.    Restart your router.
    4.    Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
    5.    Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

How to I contact Apple about a support issue with Game Center--itself, directly. I changed my Apple ID and now I cannot access my game center account that I had previously. It created a new one for me with my new apple ID instead of keeping the old one.

I want to submit an issue with Game Center--itself, directly. I had an account set up that I used to play online games. I changed my appleID and then I no longer could access my game center account. I, apparently, had a new game center account created for me (which is friends with my old account) and now I cannot access my original game center account.
If I can't get access to email apple directly (which seems ridiculously difficult to do), then someone please tell me how to FIX the issue.

Yes. I have tried that. When I use the ID I had before, it sets it up as a new account and I don't want to lose my stats attached to my old account.
Let's say that my old nickname was "user10" and I used the email, "[email protected]" for my apple id. I changed my apple id to "[email protected]" and it changed my game center account to "mynew" and somehow I am friends with my old acct, "user10". I tried getting a password reset for "user10" but I apparently don't know my own birthday, which is possible because I usually give a false one, but the same false one each time.
