Hello there!
I have an iPhone4 which is not working very well because of the home bottom and the screen do not work correctly.
My question is; This iPhone 4 is unlocked by IMEI. If Apple decides to replace it. Will I get an unlocked iphone4 or an AT&T one?

It is originally from Spain. I think that the warranty is internationally, right?
My carrier in Spain unlocked my iphone thats why I can use it in America with t-mobile.
But now, its not working as usual

iPhones are sold in carrier-locked and unlocked versions. If the phone has a carrier lock on it, you must contact the carrier to have it removed (you probably need to bring the phone to the carrier for the process). If you don't know the carrier, you won't be able to get it unlocked. US carriers will not remove the carrier lock and it cannot be removed.
How is Safari behaving that makes you say that Safari is not working? The lock status of the phone won't affect Safari, except that if the phone is locked and you aren't using the carrier (and SIM provided by the carrier) to which it is locked, then you can't use the phone or 3G service, only Wi-Fi.
The iPhone should not appear as a drive on your computer, so there's no error there.

There is no such thing as a "Factory Unlocked iPhone "
They are either locked to a carrier who may at some stage offer unlocking
or sold direct to a user by Apple (from their own Stores or online .)
Those iPhones are NOT locked

Verizon iPhone4 does NOT work in Hongkong Airport

Asian travelers be aware.... the Verizon iPhone4 does NOT work at Hongkong International Airport.... I couldn't make any phone call out and can't receive any incoming calls either.... although the phone has the WEAK signal of roaming (1 to 2 lines)...but any phone calls I tried to make or text messaging all did NOT go through.... it was such a huge disappointment. I just don't know why my old verizon blackberry phone worked great in Hongkong/China/Taiwan and the iPhone just did not work....
Also be aware, even if you have the WiFi connection, the Verizon iPhone will NOT allow you to browse the internet using Safari, becuase it will ask you to turn on the data-roaming service.... what kind of plan is this ???? I waited for the iPhone to be available for so long but it turned out to be useless when I needed it the most... thinking about returnnig it due to the service failure

The blackberry was most likely a dual mode (CDMA EVDO Rev-A and Quad Band GSM) with a sim card for global roaming such as the storms, tour and bold as mentioned above. Data on the iPhone should've worked on wifi unless Verizon and Apple crippled the phone. I was having a similar problem but only when answering calls. A reset seems to have fixed it. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If that doesn't do it you may need to contact Apple Care or take it in for repair.

Did you try another restore and this time not to restore from a backup and see if that makes a difference? This is what Apple would tell you to do next based on my iphone 5 fiasco.
Make sure all your data is available on your computer for manual syncing later.
Since you did the hard reset I assume that means your home button isn't broken only that it got frozen before. Were you able to get the Apple logo after the reset? Did it boot?
And you are using iTunes 10.7?
I'm just trying to help get you going.

Apple does NOT accept phones sent in from another country.
You will either need to take the phone back to the UK yourself, or mail it to someone you know there to have him or her bring it in to Apple for you.

You can try to remember or get the passcode somehow. If not, the only other option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings.
Follow the instructions in iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Unlocked iphone 5 not working properly

I bought a brand new unlocked iphone 5 on ebay off of a seller (a legit seller). I got my phone today, and started to set my phone up and then I noticed the camera would not work. When I open the camera app, it is just a blank screen. SOMETIMES, the frontal view camera will work, and when I would switch it back to the regular view, it would just freeze and be blurry. and sometimes, the frontal view doesn't even work. I talked to a friend who is very good with phones and she suggest that there was probably a problem with unlocking the phone. She thinks the phone was not unlocked properly and I was wondering if that seems like its the case? I was wondering what I could even do now, because I can't just get a replacement phone from apple because it will not be unlocked. I am wondering what are my options?? I am already trying and getting a refund from the ebay seller, but I have no way of buying the iphone 5 online or at any T mobile store since it has been "discontinued". I was wondering what I can do???

All you can do is return the phone to the seller. It is defective. If you want an iPhone 5, you will have to continue to look for one via a 3rd party seller. Be advised, however, that you must make sure the phone has been complete wiped, and Find My iPhone has been turned off, or you will not be able to use the phone.

Exactly what the title says.
My unlock button got to the point where it does not work literally 80% of the time. I've dealt with it throughout the past couple of months and I've been too lazy to lazy to go to the apple store.
I was planning on visiting the apple store about this issue and I've been told that I would be able to receive a brand new iphone 5 as long as I'm still under the warranty. I purchased the iphone 5 last year sept 10 (pre-order) and got it on Sept 21 i think....so I'm not sure which date is when my warranty will be over.
Is it possible if I can get a new iphone 5 and trade that in + the difference of iphone 5 and 5s and receive the 5s?
Just wondering. If I cant, then I guess I will stick with the iphone 5 for another year.
