My "update" button won't work in the app store anymore. How can I fix this?

When I go into the app store, I cannot "update all" of the apps. The color on the button changes when I press there but nothing happens. I also can't go into each app and update them individually. Has this happened to anyone else?

Just to be clear. You have downloaded the Yosemite installer. However you say while it's updating you get the error you are not online. This is confusing since you shouldn't be able to use your computer in the process of updating.
Exactly where do you see you need to 10.9 to get on Safari?

I have an iPod 4th Generation thats almost a year old. Recently, I traveled, and when I did, I put my iPod on Airplane mode and when i touched down, my iPod was acting up like crazy! For instance, when i would try and edit certain pictures, it would completely restart itself, and then it wouldn't let me listen to half the music that I had on it. Now that I am back home, I synced my iPod to my computer, and evrything went back to normal... or so I thought it did. Now I can't buy new apps, or songs, or update any of my existing applications. I am getting very frustrated with this and it's starting to get on my nerves!!! I would like to know why this is happening, and if I can do anything to help it. I also tried to re-sync it and it didn't work.

Did you check your wifi settings and do a reboot?

Did you change the ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store (on the iPad) also?
Note that any items purchased with your old ID are permanently tied to it and cannot be transferred to the new one.

I got the same error... the trick didn't fix it... but I don't think it has to.
I already have had the current American Airlines app and happen to be flying later today. I was in the app to view my boarding pass and it gave me the option to add it... clicked to do so..
and now that boarding pass is in Passbook!
While it's frustrating not to be able to see all the apps available that support passbook via that connection that isn't happening... and apps that support passbook don't seem to have the keyword 'passbook' to come up in a reg itunes search.. Apps you have and apps you want that you know support passbook are all you need. I initially thought had to download special passbook apps or something - not the case. Just grab the apps you want normal via the iTunes store - and those that support passbook allow you to add the cards and passes and such to it.

iOS upadates are NOT in the App Store. Also, 1st gen iPads do not run iOS 6. 5.1.1 is the most recent version for that model.
You will need to connect the iPad to a computer running itunes in order to update form anything prior to 5.0. Update over WiFi wasn't available until 5.0.

Downloaded apps appear as waiting on home screen but I can open them from the App Store. How do I fix this?

I bought a replacement iPhone 4 online because my old one broke about two months before my contract expires. I took it to Sprint to activate it, they reset the entire phone, activated, etc. I restored my phone from an iCloud backup (which I'd made right before going to Sprint), and now about half my apps have downloaded normally, while the other half say "Waiting" and can't be deleted (no X button). The strange thing is that if I go into the App Store and look at my purchased apps, the apps that say waiting can be opened and used by pressing the "Open" button there, so I know the app is downloaded and installed but the icons on the home screen are still greyed out and unusable. I've tried to reset my phone, restart my phone, redo the sync, and download the apps from iTunes, but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Tried that as well. The problem isn't that the apps aren't downloading, it's that the app icon is stuck on Waiting. I can actually open and use the apps from the App Store, but not from the home screen.
I'm adding photos to try help explain, though I'm not they'll show up well on since I'm on mobile.

We were given this iPod touch from a friend. Here is what I have done so far. Reset it back to factor settings. Added my music. Set up the wifi through my home internet. My appstore 'install' button won't work properly after being tapped. How do I fix this?

After I tap the button displaying the price, it moves to the right and becomes a small square/rectangle, then stutters and moves to the lft, become green and saying 'Insta...'. Assuming this is the Install button, I press it, but it just becomes blue again. No matter how many times I try, it doesn't install. Anyway to fix it that doesn't involve restoring or deleting any of my previously downloaded apps?

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

ITunes says that it cannot sync my apps to my iPhone. I've tried de-authorizing and authorizing my phone and it still doesn't work. I have to manually download my apps on my iPhone through the app store. How do I fix this?

There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content.
