I do not know about the UK, but the "accuracy" of the application in the US would not support a search warrant or confrontation. I have no specifics about the exact accuracy.

Can't update iPhoto for free.

I have a legal copy of iPhoto but the App Store, via the update command, wants to charge me. The legal copy may have come from an earlier Macbook computer backup because that is how I transferred all files and programs to the MB Pro when I got it. iPhoto '09, ver 8.1.2
I also own a MacBook Air with a later version of iPhoto on it (came with the computer).

Updates (same first digit of the version number) are free
Upgrades like iPhoto '09 to iPhoto '11 are purchases
You have to own a version of iphoto '11 and have it installed on your system to have a free update to iPhoto '11 version 9.5

Can't update keynote for free

Hi,
I'm using OS X Yosemite GM Candidate 3, I had purchased whole iWork and iLife collection for free last year.
Now I see updates for Pages and Numbers for free but I don't see any updates for Keynote (I already have Keynote on my mac) when I search "Keynote" The button doesn't show "Open" or "Update" It is "$19.99"
I'm also can update iMovie and download iPhoto for free but can't download Garageband for free. (which I purchased before)
I can see none of them in purchases tab anymore, after I changed my Apple ID location.

After update Application manager shows app as not installed

Hi,
I've installed almost all creative cloud apps since day one and everything is ok.
But, after the last Adobe application manager update, I see "install" beside each app in application manager. I installed two apps after the update (lightroom and acrobat x) and these two are correctly displayed as "installed" (launch application button is now displayed).
This is not a big issue for me, but I'm wondering if this affects the automatic updates procedure. If the updater checks which apps are installed, he knows that I installed also the other apps or it will check only for Lightroom and Acrobat x (the two marked as "installed" in app manager)?

Blackberry 8800, had it for years. I did a sofware update which resulted in two error codes. In view of this I reinstalled the previous sofware but still had same errors.
I have now gone back to the updated software so currently on: V4.5.0.174
The errors I am getting are:
''uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException''
and
''uncaught exception: Application net-rim-bb-messaging-app(85) is not responding''
The impact is on the email boxes which either won't open or are painfully slow so unusable.
Having done a search on similar issues someone had recommended deleting bb messenger as it could be a conflict. I have tried that and it is just the same.
Getting desperate now, so any suggestions would be very welcome.

Update status of Mac App Store not up-to-date

I have recently updated my apps that I have acquired via MAS. So with Aperture that is now running in Version 3.2 (as of 12.10.2011).
Neverteless, the App Store displays that there is "1" update availbale - Aperture 3.2
Even worse, the App Store displays "All apps are up to date" in the main window and - at the same time - indicates a circle with a "1" in the Updates menu!
This is not the first time the synchronization between installed applications and App store is broken. Last time I re-installed the questioned app. I am not willing to repeatedly download the same software again and again appeciate your ideas how this bug could be addressed. A workaround wwould be welcome!
If this is not solved by Apple I think I just ban the MAS from the dock.

If yo are trying to download Yosemite, I have read in the posts that it is an Apple server problem that Apple is aware of and is trying to correct. No estimated fix date.
If not, try App store support.

Before I updated to ios7, I had the nationwide mobile banking app. This app would not function properly once the update had downloaded, so , following previous advice, I deleted the app. Now when I try to download the app, I get 'no results for this app'.

Are you sure your AppleID is NOT tied to the US store? If you are trying to buy an app from the Swedish store you will be unable to do that. Some apps are only available on certain stores. That is why you get the "Cannot connect to the iTunes store" message when trying to buy that app. Your updates are being done from the US store ; thats why you can update sometimes and sometimes not.
If you keep encountering problems contact iTunes support. They will help you sort it out.

After this update Safari and Mail App do not start. It open the app a short time and closed by itself.

Since these are native apps that come with the OS, it sounds like a reinstall is in order. A full backup first, then restore.
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If a regular restore doesn't help. Try a restore as new.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
Again, make sure you have a good backup first.

Apps not always for free

When you have buy a new device or upgrade to iOS 8, you'll have access to free apps (http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202794).
If you want to download these free apps later connecting via iTunes on your Mac, when signed in, it seems that iTunes will charge you for the full amount purchasing the app.
The apps seems not to be free anymore, although when you try to download these apps with your device it is hard to find it in the first place in the app store.
Finally when you find the apps made by apple, you can download it for free on your device. This is strange when signed in on Mac or iPhone/iPad in the same account.
What will happens when people buy it in iTunes ?

Apps icons not appearing on screen after ios7 upgrade

After updating to IOS7, my apps are not showing up on screen. They appear in the App Store under purchased, and open when I press the "open" button. How cai I get the icons back on the screen?

I think I am having the same problem.
After updating to iOS 7, a couple of my Purchased apps have icons on my iPhone 4S screen, and some of my Purchased apps do not. If I go to App Store/Updates/Purchased, all the apps I Purchased show up, even the ones I deleted from my phone (before and after the upgrade).
All of my active apps have the "Open" button next to it. But how do I get the active-apps-that-aren't-showing-on-my-phone to show up on my phone?
I haven't found any Apple support string that talks about this and it's frustrating. My commonly used apps are no longer easily accessible, which is counterproductive.

Any Mac that can run Mavericks can run Yosemite. If you install it your hard drive and the recovery drive will be updated.
Wait for it to come out, backup your Mac and try for yourself.
