My url bar is indentured to right and doesn't start where it's supposed to.

When I click on the URL bar, the whole URL or whatever i type in is indentured to the right. I reinstalled Firefox and the problem was gone. But after two days the same occurred again out of nowhere.

Could you disable some of the lesser used plugins by setting them to "Never Activate". You can keep Adobe Acrobat, the two Java plugins, and Shockwave Flash set to either Always Activate or Ask to Activate, whichever they are now.
You can open the Add-ons page using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins.
Any difference? You might want to exit and restart Firefox after making the change.

I don't think it's paired with another device, as the Apple TV (3rd Gen) is the only device I have from Apple, that uses this remote (unless my iPhone or iPod can pair with it) ..or maybe the remote pairs with other than Apple products ? (Can it) ?
I have tried to press the menu and right - left - up- down - middle - play/pause simultaneously without anything happening.
All I'm left with now, is a brick with a flash on it.

iTunes looks different. All it shows is banner menu, nothing down the left side like it did before and it shows nothing about iphone or ipad and doesn't start automatic backup and my iPhone won't charge plugged into my computer. Frustrating, help, is it me or Apple?????

Can you boot into your Recovery partition (hold down the command and R keys whilst booting)?

Is there a way to remove the changes to the URL Bar, specifically the status information and the target URL?

To begin, I utterly despise the changes to the URL Bar and the removal of the Status bar. In order to stay with the latest version of Firefox I am attempting to recreate the look and feel as best I can.
I have already installed the Status-4-Evar extension. The only thing that remains is to remove the status information and the target URL from the bar.
Are there any settings in about:config that will allow me to make these changes?
EDIT: Status information can be removed by toggling. status4evar.statusInUrlBar. Still looking for a way to remove the target URL...

My avg tool bar was working on IE and doesn't seem to with FF6

running windows 7 ultimate x32 had been using x64 but was having various problems with compatibility,drivers etc so reformatted my hdd and reinstalled 32 bit version. obviously the first thing i did was reinstall my avg internet security 2011 which has a security toolbar. the next thing i did was dl FF6 and install it. i had to use IE to dl FF6 as this was my default browser. when i opened up IE the avg security toolbar was where it was supposed to be however after installing FF6 and importing everything from IE the toolbar wasn't there. i tried opening the avg interface and refreshing the toolbar app and the software said that it should all be working with any supported browsers but it is not. i know it works with FF cause i have had it on FF4 and 5 don't know if i am just being stupid or what

Shuts down and doesn't start ... sometimes

So ... I've been having this problem for several months. My Macbook will go into what appears to be permanent sleep mode -- in the middle of my using it. I will have to power down by holding down the power button. Then, it won't restart; same thing, almost as if it boots in sleep mode.
If I leave it sitting off long enough (hours), it will turn on again, usually. Sometimes it will work for several days; sometimes only for an additional hour or so.
I have taken it in twice for repair. Both times the Macbook was returned to me with the repair person telling me that all they had to do was let he battery drain and then charge again and it worked fine. Of course, I take the Macbook home and it works for a day -- then, black screen -- and I'm starting all over again.
Does anyone have any suggestions? My Macbook is out of warranty. At this point, I basically need to convince a Mac repair person of the actual cause of the problem, because I need this thing fixed.
I already installed the most recent firmware.
By the way, I've had the logic board and heatsink replaced twice (long before this latest problem happened), I've had the battery replaced and I've had the charging cord replaced because the wire actually burned through the rubber.

Many times a laptop overheating is directly related to the cooling of the processor. The main culprit is the fan. The fan sucks in air from the bottom and blows it out the side. It will also suck in hair, dust, and other debris. That stuff often gets trapped by the heat sink and over time builds up in a layer which chokes off the cool air going to the processor making the fan work harder.

What I recommend is getting some canned air and blowing out the vents in the side and bottom of the laptop. If after doing this you still have problems with over-heating, and your laptop is in warranty, you can take your laptop to a HP Authorized Service Center and ask them to clean the fan and heatsink. If it is out of warranty, consider searching for the maintenance manual for your specific model, in the manual there are schematics for taking apart the laptop. Cleaning the fan is much easier that removing a motherboard, so don't feel to intimidated by the idea. Also you can remove the heatsink and then remove the thermal grease and apply a new layer which also helps alleviate heat related issues.

So... the TextInput works well in the simulator and on android... but on an iPhone the text starts at the position where the user clicks in the text input and that feels strange and looks ugly...

ITunes keeps freezing no matter what I try. No that it controls all my music, and doesn't work, what am I supposed to do?

It seems that iTunes doesn't want to work. I've reinstalled, ugraded and restarted my computer. But nothing seems to work iTunes keeps freezing. Now it's just a useless app on my computer. It controls all the music and it's taken many hours to be bothered to use it, now that I depend on it it doesn't work. Is there another more reliable program that organizes and transfers music to iPods? Or am I just stuck with the music thats on my iTunes?
I'm not really impressed and that my family has many apple products that are mainly run by this one piece of software is mind bogglling.
Are there older versions of iTunes to use? because before this last update I had no issues.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Original iMac crashes and doesn't start

I have the original iMac from like 4 years ago, I do not have the original software disc, I have newer mac's with the install disc, theses are intel, dueo disc.
I get the happy Mac chime when I start, I did run the original hardwear tester CD, everything is fine (it did take a long time on the memory test)
computer hardly ever starts when it does it crashes soon after. (dark grey dialogue box in center of screen)
Could this have anything to do with installing newer intel core dueo disc after completly erasing the original system softeware ?
Could it be that the memory has gone bad ? I've reset pram, switched and removed accessories, etc etc.

First, you should identify your iMac model more precisely. The "original" iMac had a translucent blue-green case with a CRT display inside, but it does not sound your model is THAT old, especially if it was new when you got it "4 years ago."

IPhone 4 turns off randomly, and doesn't start up unless its on the charger. Hard resetting it when its turned off doesn't turn it on either.

My iPhone 4 is running iOS 4.3.4 and it suddenly turns off randomly, usually when the batery is around 85% or so. When I try to turn it on the normal way or hard resetting it, it doesn't turn on. It only turns on when its connected to a charger, and the time and date resets to 7.30am, January 1st 1970. I have no idea why is this happening and how do I resolve this issue?
