My USA iPad and how to get a specific app? (I'm British)

I bought an iPad in the USA because it was cheaper and I got tax back. I think the iPad is identical to a British model, except for things like the dollar sign etc!
I want an app called OnLive Desktop - but apparently it is not available to me in my country/area. I am British.
I was wondering if I went to the USA, would this app be available to me?
Is there a difference in the USA and the UK App Store?
And if this is true, do regions or countries prevent certain apps?
This app is not in the App Store in my iPad, however I know it exists and I know others have it.
Any help would be much appreciated!

You can change the region format in Settings>General>Region Format to the UK and you can change the keyboard in there as well.
Certain content is only available in certain countries due to licensing, copyright and government restrictions issues so not all content is available everywhere.
You can only buy from a country's store if you have a credit card in that country that is registered to a physical address in that country. So if you do not have a U.S. credit card registered to an address in the U.S., you can't buy from the store.

How come although iPads are getting more powerful, the iOS apps from apple are so mediocre and just not that great? We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.

First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Are there apps you don't need or use? Delete them.
Is there content you've downloaded from iTunes that you can delete (as long as it's available in iTUnes, you can redownload any previously purchased content)
Do you have any large e-mails in your mailbox? Such as mails with photos.
Do you have photos that you don't want or need anymore?
Settings, general, usage can tell you how much space apps are taking up and that can help you choose what needs to go, what's part of the problem, etc.

iOS devices do not have the BT profiles that support file sharing and othr general functions. See:

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.

Wow, I found a solution in another thread:
I had exact same error.....
Rebooting - Failed
Logging in to iTunes - Failed
Logging into itunes Store - Failed
Logging into iTunes Genius - SUCCESS I woulnd't have thought it would make a difference but it does Then just log into the 'other' services with iTunes.

Enable FaceTime in the settings, and when you save a contact in your iPhone, you click the contact and you get options. The options are sms, video call, facetime or GSM call. There is no specific FaceTime application in iPhones, this is the only way you can FaceTime unlike iPod's iPads and Macs. Hope it helps

You should be able to sync them from your computer's iTunes to your iPad and/or iPhone. Connect your iPad or iPhone to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (you can enable the sidebar via control-S on a PC), and then use the Music tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes to select and sync the music that you want in the iPad/iPhone's Music app

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

If you have iOS 5 already installed on your iPad then you don't need to update the iPad - if you are on iOS 4 or lower then you will need to update if you want those apps as they now have iOS 5 as a requirement.
If you have a Mac then in order to update to iOS 5 you will need iTunes 10.5+ and Mac OS X10.5.8 or higher. If you have a PC then you will iTunes 10.5+ and Windows 7, Vista or XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later.
