My user log in ID is frozen, I log in and get in but then screen freezes. All other user ID's are okay. What can I do as my id is the Admin User.
I have my Imac set with 4 user IDs. I do not have any problems logging in with three of the user IDs, but when I try to log in under my ID which is the Admin ID the screen freezes once I log in and I cannot close or open any thing. It begins by trying to open Skype and Messenger...then it gets frozen and I cannot close either or cancel and nothing works. What can I do or what it is the problem? HELP!!!
This next part is relatively advanced.
If you are not comfortable following these steps on your own you may wish to make an appointment with a Mac Genius at an Apple store, contact AppleCare via phone, or contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider for assistance.
As you don't have any other Admin accounts we will have to work from another account:
Start from your Mac OS X 10.6 Install DVD.
From the Utilities menu, choose Reset Password.
Follow the onscreen instructions to reset the root password (the root account is not the same as your account). Specifically: Select the name of the drive that Mac OS X is installed on, select the user named "System Administrator (root)" from the pop-up menu, type the password in the first field, re-enter the password in the second field, then click the Save button.
Quit the reset password utility
Quit the installer
Click "Startup Disk"
Choose your Macintosh HD and restart
At startup click on "Other" and login using the name "root" and the password you choose in step 3.
Once logged in as the root user go to Macintosh HD > Users > Your User Account > Library -- Rename "Library" to "Library old"
Restart the computer and login to your Admin account and see if you still get the spinning wheel.NOTE: Do not open the Mail program as renaming the Library has temporarily removed your settings. Your dock and desktop pattern will look different.
Once logged back in to your user, see if the items that were missing from your desktop have returned. Also check in iPhoto to see if your pictures are there (assuming you use iPhoto). Check iTunes to see if your music is there (when you open iTunes it will ask you if you want to search for music on your computer…say no for now).
Let me know the results before we proceed.

Your contacts are helpd on the server, so if you sign out from your iCloud account and sign into another one they will disappear. If you sign back into the original account they will reappear.

When it has disappeared I can open Firefox again using the menu or the opening icon on the toolbar, but then it only shows up blank, so without the tabs that were opened before. Closing down all other icons on the toolbar is the only way to make the Firefox icon reappear and for me to open Firefox again with all my tabs.

So far, so good, then.
I'll wait a while more, and will then close it as being solved. I guess that's the procedure.
We'll put it down to temporary bugs or pc mysteries.

It used to work as soon as i restarted my router but after an hour the iPod or perhaps the router,wont let me acces the appstore or itunes or the games center...
Its my first iPod and i guess i didnt configured the router´s w-lan well or something...I restored the Pod,I did all 4 steps in the support twice and i reinstalled my routers software+firmware but now im running out of ideas to solve this problem...(used to solve´em myself)

I hope some Apple-Pro knows the issue and closes this bloody case >.<Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall for the network problem.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hi All, I reluctantly upgraded to IOS 7.1.1 on my IPAD last night , reluctant as every upgrade which promises fixes which dont impact me causes problems that do , which I fix via this community. Today I can no longer access my WIFI at home, my non Apple devices all work fine.I have tried all the online suggestions I can find for this, reset facgtory settings, it will not allow me to 'forget this network', I try to reconnect and it asks for my password which I know is correct and it says it cannot access my network. It can access an unsecured one I believe, but that is not ideal. Any fresh suggestions would be really welcome, please. Many thanks

I'd report the issue to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.) -
Can someone tell me why can't I delete a picture of a text message conversation? I touch and hold a picture in IOS7.0.3; I touch More, I click the picture(s) and I click the garbage bin. The picture gets deleted, but then it comes back in a second!
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

New user here. Trying to import iPhoto 9.4.2 libraries into Aperture 3.4.3 as referenced files. When accessing File>Import>Library, it finds the iPhoto library just fine, but then imports it as Master files. No option that I can find to leave the photos in place on the file system. All the literature says their should be an option to choose, but I never get that option. What?

That has been true for the previous Aperture versions. Now Aperture simply treats the original image files exactly as they are in the imported library. Referenced images will stay referenced, managed will be imported as managed. But you can always relocate the imported managed images afterwards by using "File > Relocate".

The search function in the itunes store does not work. It will accept a request and suggest searches but then it locks up and will not search. Clicking on the magnifying glass or a suggested search does nothing. Re-installing itunes has not helped.

Please check if it works with transaction type 650.
