My Verizon MI424WR router resets and drops all client connections without my intervention

I have noticed my devices lose their Verizon MI424WR router and Internet connection (wired and wireless alike) for some time now (months) on a regular basis. Sometimes multiple times a day and at different times of the day. You typically have to be actively using a device to notice these events. I have one client that will display an "Internet Connection Restored" message until I return to view it and I can see that this happens quite frequently overnight when there is minimal Internet usage. During a recent "outage" I quickly ran to the router to find it was in the process of rebooting, however, I did not perform any direct actions (e.g., cycling the power or applying admin config changes) that would have caused it.
What is/could be the cause of this? Is Verizon support pushing silent router maintenance updates that require resets? Am I exceeding the maximum TCP connections the firmware will allow before faulting to reboot? I require high availability and uninterrupted connections and would prefer to know the routers limitations or when any remote automated maintenance requiring resets will be occurring if that is in fact the cause.

My router routinely runs for months between resets, which are caused by me needing to move a cable or a similar.  Only once did I notice a reset due to a Verizon update, and that was when the firmware was updated a year or so ago.
You can check the router's up time on the "system monitoring" web page.  This will let you know when the last reset occurred.
You should not see resets unless you cause them.  The symptoms you describe are not typical.  You might need a new router.  If you think so, contact Verizon support.

Randomly throughout the day the computers (at the same time) indicate they have lost connectivity to the wireless network.     This exact same issue has been happening to my connection.  Tech help continually asks me to "reset the router" and that does indeed usually clear up the issue.  I've had to do it twice in a row the last two times and i'm quite frustrated with it.  I presume my router is bad and I'm soon to call to demand a replacement because having to reset the router every 4 or 5 days to get reliable connectivity is silly.
    Here's the other weird thing, when I reset the router then enter the standard 192.168.1.1 to administrate the network, change the SSID and WEP password, etc.  It will let me do it on my older Power PC Mac, and my housemates' PC's, but my newer Intel macBook doesn't get any connectivity to administrate at all.
    It's very strange.

    You can't. You have to get into settings in order to erase all content and settings. You have to restore the devics using iTunes and you have to restore as new or if you restore the backup, you will just be restoring the restrictions code that you can't remember.
    Do not backup the iPad since you will not be able to use it.

    you mean just do it , with one single statement yeah you can.but be careful that this is irreversible.It can be done it in 2 ways:
    1-launch dbca and choose Delete database,provide credentials and proceed.
    2-from sqlplus, mount your database in exclusive restricted mode and issue drop database.
    SQL>startup mount exclusive restrict
    SQL>drop database
    both yield same result

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    When you erase an iPod touch, your information, apps and settings are deleted and iOS is back to factory settings. If she wanted an iPod touch with camera, she should return it after erasing it. Note that the iPod touch doesn't store her credit card information

    Our AP541N-E-K9 keeps dropping all WLAN connections and will not allow us to connect via WIFI. I have to switch the unit off and on but even so sometimes it will take 10 mins for the WLAN to accept new connections. Nothing has changed on the network for months as it is a very basic scenario ie Draytek DSL Router -> Cat5e cable -> AP541N-E-K9, thats it! The AP is really only used for guest access and may have about 15 staff connected via WIFI at any one time.

    I've changed the access point to use channel 1 which seemed to work for about 5 mins and then all wireless devices have dropped off and the even log keeps showing:

    It's important that you have a steady WiFi connection, ZealousEdge. What phone do you have? Is your phone unable to connect to any WiFi network? If you can, please try deleting the saved WiFi network and re-adding it.

    If the Mac's firmware was updated, you can try this Internet Recovery:
    Hold down Command + Option + R during restart or bootup; hold until you see a spinning globe (takes up to 10 minutes). Once in the Utilities window, use Disk utility to wipe the drive, then return to the window and choose to reinstall OS X. If that works, the OS will be installed without being tied to an Apple ID.
    FWIW, if the firmware was updated, you will not be able to use the Snow leopard disk to install - I just did several tests and it does not work. You can, however, possibly install the SL onto an external drive and then clone it to the internal or (if you have a clone), boot from that and clone it back - I just tested that as well.
    If the firmware was not updated, then you can use the SL install disk.

    My model implemensts a producer / consumer system where client connections are accepted and processed by a specified number of worker threads.
    I would like to be able to broadcast a message to all clients that are connected to the server.

    Accendia server allows the server side to invoke callback objects on the client. You can't do real broadcasting, though, you would have to iterate through all client connections. See if it helps:

    If you need real broadcasting you can use datagram or multicast sockets on both the server and client side.
