Just got it up and running after getting TV working after lightning strike... Did the new update and Apple TV blinks/blacks out for just a second (during video or on dashboard) every 5 - 7 min... Internet speed is strong and connection seems fine.

1. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. Click the padlock to unlock the preference pane and enter your admin password. Click the Advanced button at the bottom, then see if the option "Log out after N minutes of inactivity" (where N is the number of minutes) is enabled.
2. Open System Preferences > Energy Saver and configure Display Sleep to occur after the account is logged out, by dragging the slider to a number of minutes that is greater than N was set to in the previous step.
Important: If automatic log out is not needed, disable "Log out after Nminutes of inactivity" in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. This will also prevent the issue.

There are times when my MacBook will "turn off" or "black out" and then after a few seconds, it would just turn on again with all the applications I was opening opened up already. Please help? This has happened 3 times now. :/

Looks like you have a 2010 Macbook. Are you running 10..6 Snow Leopard? Things to check. Go to system preferences/energy saver/ schedule and make sure nothing is checked. Also uncheck put hard drive to sleep. Do a pram reset/Command/Option?P/R and hold power button down for three chimes. You could also reset SMC. Hold down the Command?Option?Shift while holding down the power button for about 10 second. You should be able to access the apple hardware test by starting up and holding down the D or Option D on startup. Run the test. If not and you have the install disks you can run it from there by inserting it and doing the same thing. Use disk utilities in the utilities folder to repair disk permissions and verify your hard drive. If it needs repair ,you'll need to use the install disk to do it under utilities at the top of the screen. If you have a newer operating system ,Then the only way to do this is through the restore partition by starting up and holding down the option or option r.You could look in your library system fold logs and see if you see anything under crach report that says thermal. Let me know.

My video goes out and comes back on frequently

Hi,
I have a mac mini and the video goes out (blue screen) with an error that says "Check video cable." It will then comb back on without doing anything but it can take several seconds or a minute to do so. This happens randomly not dependent on doing anything on the computer or not. It seems to happen consistantly maybe every 20 minutes or an hour apart. This computer is being used as a cash register so this is quite frustrating when you have customers waiting.
Anyone have any clues? I swapped out monitors to rule that out and even replaced the VGA cable. The only thing I did not replace was the video adaptar.
Is there a way to reset the video with a keyboard sequence on startup or does anyone have any other ideas?

Firefox stops responding every time I make any kind of input. It then flashes and comes right back

Everytime I click on something or type something, Firefox will stop responding for a couple of seconds and then return. It's curious that it will stop responding as I am typing something in and the letters that I typed while it wasn't responding obviously didn't appear but when it came back on the letters were there. Also, when I first turn on the computer, I click on Firefox and it opens right away but closes as soon as I try to do anything. I open it a second time and it is fine until the most recent response problem. I opened the task manager and Firefox was listed at 65,000 in the process monitor. I feel like Firefox is running twice and it is suspiscious. I tried to open it and it said I had to close the one already running which there wasn't. Any ideas.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

The picture even starts out being sort of dim. And it goes through phases of working fine but then will randomly start blacking out again. Any ideas?

i am new to Apple, have a mac air. i imported my calendar from cozi. i am not synching w/ anything, but it wil not let me delete many things and what i do delete comes right back. i found a command to do on the "terminal" that sid not work. i tried searching for all ther appointments by name and deleteing all also to no avail. Let's see if we can't get this phone working for you! What exactly is happening with the device? Is the screen just out and you can hear that it will still ring, or is the phone completely dead? Please elaborate more on what you are experiencing.

When I tried to delete a date from my calendar it disappears for a second but then it comes right back. I tried to edit the same appointment but the calendar will not edit.

Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

Screen blacking out and freezing when phone is charging

I have noticed sometimes my phone is blacking out and the only way to get the screen to come back up is to remove my battery. It happens about 2 or 3 times a day. Also, when charging my phone I will press an app or phone number and it goes to a completely different app or contact. Does anyone know how to fix this?

ive had an issue similar to this. my music worked for about a month then kept freezing on me. it wouldnt go back to the main screen or anything in the music player the screen just went black and my phone completely froze. however a hard reset worked for me. when you have an issue like this that can be resolved any other way this fixes it however i would use it as a last resort as a factory direct reset erases everything even backed up information on your sd card because everything is reset to the way when you first bought it out of the store. if you think this will work for you here is the quickest and easiet way i have found to do it:
turn droid 2 off
open keyboard and press x while holding the power button
device will power on
keep holding until a yello triangle appears
press the magnifying glass on your keyboard
use the volume button to select wipe data/ factory reset
use camera key to confirm
tap wipe data/factory reset
then ok
highlight reboot system now
then ok

Running iCloud every time I delete old bookmarks in my menubar they come right back.

Running iCloud every time I delete old bookmarks in my menubar they come right back. Have tried to delete the bookmarks on all my macs. iCloud keeps putting the bookmarks back on my bookmark bar.

This took me a alot of playing around to get things working correctly. I was having the exact same duplication issues everyone else was having. Here's how I managed to get things working correctly.
1. Turn off bookmark syncing on every single OS X and iOS 5 device you own.
2. Select a "master" computer where you can clean up your bookmarks. Export your current bookmarks to play it safe.
3. Now clean up your bookmarks so they are setup exactly how you want them. While you're doing this make sure you deleted every single "folder" listed in the bookmarks pane on the left side of the browser window. The actual book marks that are displayed are the ones listed under the "collections" line. The blue extras being sync from iCloud.
4. Exported the "clean" bookmarks.
5. Turn on iCloud bookmarks syncing and agree to the merge.
6. Go to every other OS X and iOS device and delete bookmark on all these devices.
7. By now the only thing on iCloud will be the cleaned up bookmarks from the "master" computer. Turn on iCloud bookmarks syncing on one of your devices and wait for the bookmarks to sync.
8. Once you know that the second device has synced correctly (it will if you deleted all the extra stuff as directed) then try your next device and continue with all your remaining devices.
This will work as you expect it to as long as you clean EVERYTHING out of the folder collections from the "master" computer. From this point forward things will sync nicely.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

Why does my Macbook Pro Suddenly will suddenly black out and freeze I can't do anything and I am always forced to force off my mac.

This always happens to me but recently it's happens more and more. Sometimes When I use it to game or do work or skype it will eventually black out and forze.
