My Video Camera won't capture sound!
My camera will not capture sound! I have done loud things to test it while recording, turned my sound all the way up, and played it to hear nothing. I put in headphones to try it, and once again i heard nothing. I was sure it was recording when I spoke and I know that there was supposed to be noise. What is wrong with my Nano?

Camera won't capture credit card for Apple pay
When I attempt to use the little blue camera icon option in Apple Pay to capture a credit card and it's info, nothing happens. The camera won't capture a picture of my credit card. I hold my phone camera hovering very still over my credit card making it's sure it's within the guideline over and over and nothing happens.
I know my bank and my credit card support Apple Pay.Hi ...
Make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 8.1
Tap Settings > General > Software Update
If it's already running 8.1, try a reset.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings then try again.

Camera will not capture images. Purely states 'unable to capture image'. Video camera comes up with coloured lines, no image. Reasonably new handset, have tried rebooting and clearing down all apps. Any ideas??
Sounds like a hardware problem to me but i could be wrong. Try backing it up and doing a security wipe and see if it helps.

My sony hdv 1080i mini dv camera won't capture
I've been trying to capture a video that I recorded with my SONY (HDV) HDR-FX1E camera from sony hdv 1080i mini dv but the camera would go on playing but it won't display any frame and it would show this error when i click stop stating that "recorder captured no frames". When its playing from the sony hdv 1080i mini dv camera it shows DV SP PAL on the lcd monitor.
PLEASE, someone should help me, I need to capture this video now.As far as I know, HDV does not display during transfter from camcorder via Firewire
Try this for HD capture http://strony.aster.pl/paviko/hdvsplit.htm -
I try to change from photo to video but it will not allow me to select video.
Are you tapping video or are you swiping to video? In IOS 7 you have to swipe to video and it will turn yellow and you'll see the red button to record.

Can I use a Bluetooth headphone/microphone for capture sound instead of normal iPhone mic when shooting video?
The sound when I record video is not so good, so I'm trying to use the Bluetooth headphone/microphone to capture a person voice but not know which setting to use.Hi Robert
Thanks for answering. I didn't know where to post other than the bluetooth forum which is relatively quiet and had no answers forthcoming.
Yes the voice isn't reaching the amp although it is registering on the input bar in the Sound System Prefs, just won't "play through" as it were. I can't see how it could be done I was just hoping someone might see something I am missing.
It seems a shame that you can't do it as iTunes on an old iBook makes a good juke box for DJ'ing and with everything becoming wireless these days it seems sensible that you could cut that one last wire.

Can't capture from my cannon video camera to Final Cut or iMovie.
Hi. I can't capture from my cannon video camera to FInal Cut or iMovie. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. I don't think my iMac is recognizing the camera. I was told I don't need a firewire, that USB would work if I'm just capturing. If I need a firewire what kind (the one I was sold didn't fit). I'm getting an "unable to locate external device message". Not sure of next steps to try. Thanks.

You require a firewire cable.
The camera connection end will be four pin and the Mac is nine pin to the 800 port.
Ask for a 9 to 4 pin firewire cable. Sounds like you have the wrong one as they can also be 4 to 4 or 4 to 6 pin!!
Also you will need the correct Easy Setup in FCE so FCE talk to the camera, exactly which one depends on what type of footage is being sent to FCE from the camera during capture.

Disable Camera Capture Sound on Nokia E72
There are just four option from which I can choose the camera capture sound on my Nokia E72. I want to disable the camera capture sound, so that I can silently click some photographs. Help me out please.
@rahulbgm49
Whilst not condoning it users can move to region where this feature is not prohibited and have no reason to believe that this won't work upon E72:/t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/E71-turn-of-camera-quot-sound-quot/m-p/503039/message-uid/503039/highl...

I have just uploaded a large number of files from a panasonic video camera on to imovie. I have never had this problem in the past, but when I try to play back the files on my laptop there is no sound. I have tried increasing the sound and normalising via the audio settings, and the sound is playing fine on the video camera. Is there anything I can do?
I have also checked that the files are MOV not MPEG etc

FCE: Possible to Capture SD footage from digital video cam?
Ok, probably a daft question this. Don't laugh...
I'm thinking of purchasing a digital video camera that uses SD cards. I currently use a MiniDV cam and connect via Firewire.
Is it possible to capture footage shot on SD cards into FCE?
And, if so, should I use USB from the camera, or insert the SD card into my card-reader?
The camera I'm looking at is able to record HD footage to a 2gb SD card (about 40 mins worth)
Thanks for your time!Cheers Tom, I think you just saved me a small fortune..
Here's the camera: http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/camcorders/0,39029967,49263047,00.htm
(is it ok to link outside of the forums?)

Unable to initialize video deck, (can not capture from camera)
Hello All,
I am using a quad core G5 and am trying to capture some footage into Final Cut Pro version 5.0. I have two Panasonic DVX 100B mini DV cameras. I normally capture with a JVC BR-DV3000 mini DV deck but it is currently not working. So I'm trying to capture using my camera.
I hooked my camera up to my computer via firewire and started final cut, When I click File > Log and capture a little window pops up that reads:
" Unable to initialize video deck. You may still log offline clips or use Capture Now"
I'm not sure why this box is appearing. When I click the capture now button, the Capture window pops up and then I press play on the video camera and the footage plays on the camera but the capture window remains black or empty. I have tried both cameras and two different firewire cables with the same results. I have also tried to restart the computer.
Can anyone shine some light on this situation?
Thank you so much for your help.
Mike WardynskiAre there any other firewire devices connected to your Mac?
Did you go into your easy setup and reselect the DV setting for the standard you are using?
Also sometimes, shutting down and restarting your Mac, after making these changes some times allows the new device to be recognized.
One other thing, the DV camera may have a menu setting that needs to be set for communication via firewire possibly? -
Hello,
I am a teacher and want to make some videos to post online for my class. I would like to have it set up so that I have a powerpoint presentation going, a video camera pointing at a piece of paper I can write on and another video camera pointing at me. How do I do this? I have seen several solutions but they seem to be for switching between videos whereas I want both video images to be on at the same time.
Also, is there a screen capture program you would recommend?Go to System Preferences - Sharing and change the computer name there. You can also, optionally, change the name of your hard drive to further clarify the origin of your backups. Click once on the "Macintosh HD" on your desktop, then click its name to allow you to edit it.

Videos on my macbook pro won't play sound after apple tv was installed in the house
Hi! Need some help... for christmas my dad received the little black Apple TV device to watch videos on our big tv from his iPad. After it was installed no sound came from my macbook, it instead comes out of the tv speakers. When dad is airplaying a video from his iPad and I open a video on my mac, the iPad video gets interrupted and the sound from my video comes on without the visual. What's going on?! I see the airplay symbol on the top right bar but it always says disconnected, yet obviously the sound is somehow connected.
that figures, VLC.
Consider getting your dad the APP VLC streamer for his Ipad, that way he can wifi beam movies etc. to his Ipad from any Mac.
removes putting movies on an Ipad and clogging it up with large movie files. Very handy -
How can I download video from a Canon ZR30 video camera to my IMac? I have Elgato Video Capture, but the provided connectors are loose in the camera and the camera does not have a white female end. No signal shows up on the computer when I connect the red and yellow connectors.
Broken solder joints on the camera me thinks!!
